Many Lake Tahoe activities and sights are right at your doorstep!
Your home away from home is close to Meeks Bay, which has a terrific sandy beach. Located on National Forest Land, the Meeks Bay shoreline is popular for its beautiful scenery, sprawling clean beaches, and easy access. The area offers a high concentration of recreation opportunities including camping, swimming, biking, boating and hiking into the nearby Desolation Wilderness.
Also nearby, Chambers Landing has a nice beach and a popular restaurant and bar (described below).
Ed Z’Berg – Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen, and juniper. Another attraction is the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion (also known as Pine Lodge), a summer home built in 1903. Winter visitors to the park will find over 20 kilometers of marked cross country ski trails and a heated restroom in the General Creek campground.
D.L. Bliss State Park is open to vehicular traffic in the summer, where you can enjoy swimming or scuba diving in the crystal clear water of Lake Tahoe, picnicking, relaxing on the warm sand of Lester Beach or Calawee Cove, and access to hiking the Rubicon Trail, Lighthouse Trail, and Balancing Rock Trail. Lester Beach is a popular location to launch your kayak, paddleboard, or canoe.
You won’t want to miss the icon of Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay, a short drive away. Emerald Bay State Park boasts 360-degree picturesque views that encompass Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, Eagle Falls, and Vikingsholm Castle.
Just a few miles down the road you’ll find Homewood, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley Ski Resorts. The Magical West Shore has great options for whatever you fancy: snowshoeing, snowboarding, downhill or cross-country skiing, sledding, and more!
Interested in a dining option? We highly recommend the Fire Sign Cafe for breakfast and lunch. The local market is convenient for a quick stop and there is a pizza restaurant that is sure to please. Open in the summer, Chambers Landing is the oldest bar on Lake Tahoe. The menu features a wide variety of delicious items and a kids menu is also available. A favorite family hot spot and accessible from land and by boat from the lake, Chambers Landing is known for its pristine views of Lake Tahoe.

The place was perfect for our family get together. Wonderful atmosphere, great views, & awesome lake access. The only problem is that the place was extremely hot. We had to bring fans from home & leave all windows open in order to make it comfortable.

Our family of 5 stayed at Esperanzas Lakeside Retreat for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. We brought our SUPs and taught our dog to paddleboard with us, some of us hiked up to see the sunset at Eagle Rock and we had a day on the lake renting a boat from the local SWA Watersports. The condo was lovely, quiet and so well outfitted to make it a wonderful stay for us. We would love to return someday!

Reviewer Comments:
What a beautifully remodeled CLEAN home. This home is cozy and heats up quickly with a great gas fireplace in the main roomand heaters in each bedroom. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook any meal and enough seating for 6 people at the table. Being a family of 5, we wished there was a backyard however a short walk takes you to a rocky beach and a grass area behind the units. One big problemwas the neighbor in unit 15. He seemed nice however he stays up very late and bangs on the wall in the upstairs bedroom with the queen bed. It was so bad that we could not use the room at all for sleeping. It felt deliberate and it was very frustrating. He is a permanent resident and we did not want to confront him so we just didn’t use that room. The location is nice for skiing at Homewood or walking around SugarPine. This was our first time staying in Tahoma and it was a little too quiet for us. If we ever came back to Tahoma it would be during the summer because in the Winter/Spring the outdoor seating is not available at local restaurants and no where is pet friendly!

The cabin got handed to us in perfect conditions and fully stocked! The cabin is very warm and cozy, full of features, and beautifully remodeled. The couch is next-level comfortable and it`s a pleasure to cook in the kitchen with all the brand new appliances. The lake is a 3 minutes walk, literally behind the unit. LOVED IT! THANK YOU!
