We had a great week at Woodlawn Retreat! The house was extremely clean and we appreciated the snacks provided along with the supplies to make smores at the fire pit. We ate at many of the recommended restaurants in the welcome book and all of the activities we wanted to do were within a 30 minute drive of the house.

My husband and I very much enjoy this lovely home. It was very comfortable and extremely clean which we so appreciated! It had everything we needed and more! The hosts, Kyle and Alice were very responsive. Kyle not only recommended the best restaurants that we returned to for lunch and dinner, but also Door Dashed a new blow dryer for me within the hour when the one on site didn’t work! AMAZING!! Thank you, Kyle and Alice for providing such a wonderful home for us after a long trip.

The place was extremely clean and the full kitchen/grill allowed us to cook a few nights we weren’t looking to drive into town. The beds were all comfy and the place came stocked with coffee and toiletries in case you forget to bring anything. Overall great stay!

We selected the Woodlawn Retreat for a location close to Mt Desert Island, Bar Harbor & Acadia NP, off the island but near enough to be in the park or BH in 20 minutes. We needed a house for 4. This single floor home has only a few steps to enter. The great room is huge with a large screen TV. The kitchen is well appointed with new appliances and drawers full of necessary utensils, pots, pans, glasses, dishes and more. The owners left a thoughtful tray of snacks on the counter with excellent property instructions. You’ll find neat coffee/tea and wine bars. Bathrooms are well supplied. And, the bedrooms: ahhhhhh, the foam-topped mattresses and upscale sheets for great, quiet sleeps. These beds are the “bomb!” Kudos to the owners. You definitely know how to provide an excellent VRBO experience.

The property was absolutely stunning! We got there beginning of January and were so happy to see the inside of the home still had a beautiful Christmas tree up along with various decorations. Very comfortable beds and lounging areas. Felt more like a home than a rental for sure!!

If you are looking to get away to Acadia National Park, this property has it all, and the hosts has thought of it all. From the fully stocked kitchen, to the thoughtful snack bin, to games, to the firepit, they've pulled together the perfect getaway. Five stars isn't enough for this property!!!!

We prepared all our meals in the house. We fixed breakfast & supper in the house, & packed lunches every day for our adventures. We're old folks & after days of exploring Acadia NP, we had no energy to explore many of the extras in the house. We did no campfires or s'mores, no TV, or games. We slept well, showers worked well, Dishwasher worked well. I brought my own instant-read meat thermometer. Parking worked easier if I backed into our space, turning around first in the lower parking lot. Thanks for a great time! God gave us perfect weather. Hint: Thunder Hole is best seen and heard about 2 hours before high tide.

We really enjoyed property - had dinner and drinks on deck several nights. We thoroughly enjoyed morning coffee in breakfast room that overlooked the Pond. House was spacious and beds were comfortable. Property was close proximity to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

We had a great stay at this property! It was exactly as advertised - well-appointed and clean with so many little extras that we didn’t need anything. The owners were great to work with and even left us a goody basket that was appreciated. Great location close to Bar Harbor, Acadia, and the Schoodic Penisula near Winter Harbor.

We loved everything about this house. It was so clean and so many thoughtful touches - welcome snacks, firewood, s’mores kit, laundry supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, basic cooking supplies (oil,Pam, spices). Beds very comfortable and house more spacious than photos (with big closets). Communication with Alice was great too. We drove to Acadia each day and drive was super easy. There is super Walmart and grocery store less than 2 miles. Lots of restaurants close by as well. We’ve stayed in a lot of vrbos and this one is bar far one of the best. I would definitely stay here again!

I rarely rate a rental with all 5’s but this place was awesome. The home had everything we needed and then some to include a great propane grill and lobster pot. The host follow up and feedback was wonderful. Great recommendations for specific restaurant requests. They even provided firewood and s’mores ingredients. Our family will definitely be back.

We had an amazing stay! It snowed while there and the surrounding view was beautiful in the winter. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. Alice, the host, was very quick at responding and was accommodating. Would highly recommend this place!

Our experience here was above and beyond. The house was extremely clean, had everything we could have needed and more. They were very thoughtful in leaving coffee, tea, toiletry items, extra blankets. Alice messaged me so quickly every time with tons of answers. Very thorough & the home decor was something out of a magazine. We will be back for sure!

Loved everything about this property from the fire pit to the setup inside. It was super clean, quiet and close to town. The managers were responsive and accommodating. The beds and couches are 5 stars and the indoor laundry room was a bonus!

What a great house…clean, cozy, quiet, great location( close to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and groceries). I can’t say enough about this house. It was everything we needed (and wanted) and more! The beds were very comfortable, a stocked coffee bar and the toiletries in the bathrooms were a nice touch. But the best was the communication with the owners. I had a few questions and my emails were answered in less then 15 mins! Amazing! I’ve stay in quite a few VRBOs this is definitely one of my favorites. Thank you Alice and Kyle! Five stars is not enough for this house!

The owner spent a lot of time caring for this place. All the little touches made a huge help, ziplock bags, aluminum foil and spices. Sounds silly, but it makes it makes a big difference. Close to the Acadia Park, which we spent time all our time. Thank you for allowing us to use your home! It was perfect!

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful! You can tell a lot of care went into it to make the guests feel comfortable from the decor to the amenities. It was very clean and the hosts were so easy to communicate with. One of our favorite parts of our stay was using the fire pit. The hosts left everything needed to make s’mores along with other goodies. I would highly recommend staying here!

What a great experience we had in Lamoine with VRBO! The house was so warm , welcoming, and well appointed - we really couldn’t think of anything more they could have provided. The house was so clean and fresh and the property so well maintained. The location was perfect for Acadia and the fire pit was awesome!! Alice was an incredible host easy to reach if needed and her instruction book was clear and complete. The whole check in/ check out process was seamless. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Maine. Would definitely stay here again!!

We loved our three night stay at this house in Lamoine. Whatever your reason for coming to the area, we would strongly recommend this property. It's a short drive to Ellsworth and 20 minutes to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The house is extremely clean well thought out. Many details are considered...plenty of storage space, a beautiful master bedroom, comfortable kitchen, and a nice yard with a fire pit and a grill. The communication with the host was always timely. We recommend this property highly!
