My elderly mother probably made her last trip with us - she is failing fast. We were so comfortable. The views out the back are serene and the beds heavenly. Mom especially enjoyed the gas fireplace. Hopefully we will be back.

We took a family vacation to visit Massanutten resort, Virginia safari drive through and luray caverns. Every activity was an easy drive from the house. The house was clean, comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed having the space and the hot tub . We had a great vacation.

We really enjoyed this home. About 30 minutes away from Shenendoah National Park which is where we spent most of our time. We didn't take advantage of the local resort but we enjoyed some of the local wineries and some hikes in the NP. Coming from the dry Southwest, it was lovely just to see all the green lawns, trees, and small towns.
The house itself was spacious for three adult couples. Open floorplan made it easy to prepare food and snacks in the kitchen while enjoying each other's company. We BBQ'd one night and enjoyed the spa each evening (one of the main reasons we booked this home). The bedding was comfortable and the house was stocked with everything we needed.
Nothing negative to say but I could see the driveway being a challenge in the winter (steep) and not much insulation so it was easy to hear others walking around, etc.
I would definitely return and/or recommend to others.

When originally booking, I was skeptical about the 10/10 ratings. Upon entering I knew exactly why this house was rated a perfect 10. Instructions were clear, the labeling of the lights were perfect, and it was very clean. Felt like home away from home. This is the only place I will stay when visiting the area. Will book again.

The property was clean and well-appointed. It had lots of space for our family of four to spread out. The hot tub was wonderful, and the convenience of being just a few minutes from the waterpark and ski slopes was amazing. The hosts were gracious with early checkin and late checkout, which was an added bonus. We would definitely return to the property!

Stayed here for a few days of skiing at Massanutten - while the snow was somewhat lacking, the Bear Den was awesome. Plenty of room for games, hot tubbing, gathering. Would definitely come back.

Stayed a few days in the Massanutten area to enjoy fall activities in Virginia. This home was centrally located to the places we wanted to explore. It more than met our needs, as it felt very homey, comfortable, and quiet. The jacuzzi felt good on sore muscles after biking and hiking, and the amenities of the home were just fine. I would definitely stay here again when I next come back to this area.

This home was everything I didn’t know I needed! One floor living was amazing - I always give my parents the main floor bedroom, but it was nice we could all be on one level together. There was plenty of room to spread out during our stay! The kids begged for showers (as if that ever happens) so they could get in the hot tub! They’re the cleanest they’ve been in years! ;) Everything was lovely and Leah couldn’t have been more accommodating. Very grateful for Leah and her home as they provided a weekend of memories to last a lifetime!

Everything was t our liking. The sunroom was great to sit out there. We each had our own bedroom. If we go back to Massanutten the first place I am going to look up again is this place. Thank you Leah for a wonderful vacation

we were in a Massanutten for a family reunion and one of our group uses a wheelchair. There was just a single step at the front door to navigate and a couple steps down to the hot tub so it was a great gift to have that level of accessibility in the house. it was clean, spacious, attractive, and well located. We really enjoyed it and will back if we are in the area. I would not count on someone using the sleeper sofa if you were there for more than a couple of nights.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bear Den. We booked the place to be close to Shenandoah National Park, and it was perfect for all of our needs. The place was super clean, beautifully furnished, and so peaceful. We were so excited to find such a beautiful, convenient spot that allowed our pups to be with us as well. Leah is a fantastic host- available every time I reached out. It was a lovey stay in a lovely place. Thank you so much, Leah! We hope to be back soon!

My family and I spent 4 nights at Bear Den over the Memorial Day weekend. The house was just as described and was spotless; it was larger and nicer in person! The deck was fantastic - beautiful view of the woods and we all enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit table and using the grill for our meals. The Resort offered much to do; we enjoyed the waterpark, chairlift rides, go karts, bumper cars, playgrounds, the overlook views, and shopping and dining.
We would definitely stay here again when we return!

My family and two children (ages 14 and 10) had a wonderful stay at the Bear Den last week during their school break. The home is beautiful, has all the amenities we could have hoped for, it was impeccably cleaned, communication with the host was incredibly fast and helpful. The location is excellent, both within Massnutten and to Shenandoah National Park. We enjoyed hiking during the day, and spent afternoons utilizing the resort amenities and activities or relaxingon the deck that was an excellent feature. We particularly appreciated that the home was pet friendly, that the back deck had multiple gates, the hot tub for relaxing at the end of the day, and that the home was exactly as described and shown in pictures. The host was even able to accommodate us for two more nights after we checked out and had an issue later on in our trip. We returned because we had such a great experience.
