Stayed with in-laws and children and had a great time. Close to restaurants and stores.
5.0 / 5.0
Stayed at the Eagle View Lodge with immediate and extended family members as we celebrated my daughter's graduation from college.
The house was very comfortable and had everything you could ever need for visiting, relaxing, enjoying the indoors and the outdoors, and cooking in (except for a good pair of tongs).
In addition to private bath's in every bedroom, the property has a fire pit, hot tub, and plenty of games (inside and out) to keep everyone entertained.
The only drawback, really, was a lack of blinds/curtains in all rooms except the primary bedroom. While not needed for privacy, the lack of window coverings does make it a little harder to sleep in once the sun comes up.
Other reviews have mentioned the drive up the mountainside to the house. The last few miles from the bottom of the mountain to the house are definitely steep with several switchbacks. That said, if you have any mountain driving experience at all, and a reliable vehicle, you will easily navigate the road.
One work of caution if following Google Maps from the northwest. If your mapping app tries to route through Maggie Valley, DO NOT FOLLOW IT. The route suggested takes you to a gated, private development about 3.5 miles from your destination. However, because the gate will be closed and locked you cannot get through. Make sure your mapping app brings you to Waynesville, NC.
We enjoyed staying at this property and would consider staying there again in the future.

This property is even better than the pictures. The house was absolutely perfect for our group of 7 adults and 4 kids. The views from the (multiple) decks, hot tub, and gorgeous open floor plan met our needs, and the location was sublime. Property owners took a long time to respond, but that's a minor complaint. I'd return here in a heartbeat!

Several of our church friends and family stayed with us at the cabin on our annual skiing trip to Maggie Valley. We had plenty of room and everyone raved about how well the beds slept, probably the best I've slept on a vacation. The home is about 3 miles up the mountain on a paved road and we parked 4 cars with no problem. The kitchen is well equipped with a slow cooker, griddle, coffee pot that grinds beans, and plenty of glasses and plates. The hot tub is nice, but very dark if you get in at night. The internet worked well and the kids had no problem getting on their devices. There is a beautiful small waterfall outside the master bedroom that is nice to drift off to sleep with. The fireplace in the home is wood burning, so you may want to bring your own firewood. The kids loved the ping pong table in the garage and pool table in the game room. The deck outside has a beautiful view of the mountains with a couple of swings to sit in and hammocks. We hope to be able to come again.

Our family went to Waynesville to celebrate my 77th birthday . Had a wonderful time, house has beautiful views, was very clean and had all the kitchen items we needed, beds are very comfortable. The property manager (Vickie) was extremely helpful. We truly had a wonderful, relaxing 6 days family getaway.

Very nice place to stay but challenging to get to.

Very nice facility. Great location. Lots of privacy. Nicely decorated. Everything was great. Only minor improvements would be fixing a couple of light bulbs that went out, and update the potato chips that were left as welcoming, as they were expired. Otherwise fantastic place. We had a great time.

We loved the house! My only complaints are there was someone's dirty clothes in one of the bathroom doors and also the bathroom doors don't lock. Otherwise it was very clean and big enough for our whole group. Also, if you come in from a certain direction, it brings you to a locked gate. Better directions/instructions would be helpful.

The stay was overall good. There was some cleanliness issues and the property manager didn’t sound overly concerned with our problems. They did not let us know there was an issue with the furnace prior to our arrival.

Great place to make home base for exploring surrounding areas. Vickie was easy to get in touch with band even brought a brand new grill within the hour when we discovered the main one was not working. She was very accommodating to any issue we had. Beautiful home and property.

They home is WAY up the mountain on a steep winding road with a steep driveway. It takes about 15 minutes to get up there from the main road. Scary at night or when raining.
The house was immaculate with an exceptionally well appointed kitchen and a beautiful fireplace that we used every morning and night. There was enough room for everyone to have their own space.
The towels were small, threadbare and rough. The pillows need upgrading. The property manager Vickie was very responsive and really helpful. The back yard is cute but a little treacherous. There needs to be more seating in the living room. (perhaps put the TV over the fireplace and remove the cabinet to allow for a love seat). The seat cushions on the sofa need replacing or refilling.
Waynesville and surrounding areas are charming, friendly and fun. Overall we had a great time.

Breathtaking views and plenty of space for my 4 adult children and their wives. We all had our own space and each bedroom had a bathroom. We made lasting memories with lots of laughs in the spacious common areas.

Great cabin with fun things for all ages. Beautiful views. Close enough to NP for day hike (we went to Big Creek Trailhead) and to Asheville for Biltmore and dinner. More than enough room for our group of 8. Our host, Vickie, was very responsive to our requests. Thank you!

The property is absolutely beautiful. The views were spectacular. Overall layout worked well with our large group. The seating area near the fireplace was a little limited but we made it work. The property does not include firework so be prepared to purchase it. Would definitely recommend this place. Thank you for great memories.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. We enjoyed hanging out by the fire, the kids loved exploring the property and finding all of the cute features - like a tree house etc. And, we loved the beautiful hikes we took in the Smoky Mountains and the lovely town of Waynesville. Our kids loved Tube World and The Polar Express. A great spot all around!

Everyone enjoyed this cabin so much! The kitchen was well stocked for anything you need for cooking big meals. The treehouse was a big hit for my Grandchildren. Very highly recommend this cabin for a wonderful get together. Very clean. Fun times and lots of memories made.

This was an awesome house! It has a well-stocked kitchen, good supply of games, and plenty of space for larger gatherings as well as space for quiet time when someone wants to be alone. But it’s a long way up the hill, rather steep, and a bit scary at night if you’re not used to driving in the mountains. Don’t plan to just pop quickly into town for dinner! This is more of a “chill” house, a place to rest, relax, and recharge your batteries in a beautiful natural setting. The wood-burning fireplace was a plus!

The place was better than described! Spacious, Clean, Peaceful, lots of activities right on the place, inside and out! We could not have gotten any place better for us. We are a family of 9 from 74 to 7. Everyone had a spot and we all came together. We also had other family that came to see us and it was perfect. Thank You You could not have set this place up any better. Who wouldn't love it! Beth
