We stayed at this beautiful cabin for my granddaughters graduation from WCU in May. Such a beautiful area, quiet and up on mountain. We had numerous family attend and had plenty of parking space. It was only a 40 minute scenic drive to WCU. The only precaution is the road is windy and up with numerous switchbacks for those who aren’t use to driving mountain roads. Overall a fantastic place and awesome time was had by all.

Everything was wonderful and worked like a charm! The hot tub was spacious and there was a tankless water heater so we never had to worry about showers getting cold. The rooms were comfortable, though the sleeper sofas were just OK. The location was amazing, close to shops and cataloochee ski resort and I still can't get over the amazing view.I would say there was 2 negatives to this cabin; the septic tank cover was off slightly, so we kept getting whiffs of sulfur in the hot tub; also, the kitchen had a dephacite of nessesary items - no dishwasher soap, the sizes and quality of pots, pans, covers, and non-metal spatulas was a constant issue - some were dirty, pealing or too thin to work.

Very beautiful and spacious cabin. Our family really enjoyed our stay and it was very relaxing. We saw Turkeys every day on the road leading up and down the mountain. We would definitely consider using this cabin again. Fabulous view!

Recommend 4 Wheel Drive
The view of this home is breathtaking. However, the driveway is VERY steep. We drive an F-150 and struggled to get up the steep driveway. Our wheels spun out every time. One day we had some rain and it was extremely challenging to make it up the driveway to the home.
The home is a bit older. The upstairs bathroom has mold along the top of the walls- so I would caution anyone with allergies. Also, the home does not include bath mats. The flooring is tile and very slippery, I would advise to bring extra towels so that you can leave some on the floors.
If you like to cook, there are pots and pans. There is not bakeware for baking- so bring that yourself. Also, there are not serving dishes- so be prepared to have everyone make their plates at the oven/stove.
All of the beds in the home are extremely hard. If you are used to a softer mattress or a foam type mattress you will not sleep well here. Even my 6 year old complained (without anyone discussing the beds).
The grill was a great asset. As was the washer and dryer. The hot tub was very nice and has a beautiful view from the bottom level with a sweet waterfall that you can turn on in the side yard. As we were leaving someone came to empty, clean, and refill the hot tub. He let us know he does this after each group that comes through- which was also great.

Beautiful mountain top home!
This lovely home was a perfect choice for six ladies getting together for the first time in many many years since they were high school friends! The home was warm and inviting with several open spaces in which to visit. The deck and outdoor seating was ample and the view was just amazing! Several of the girls made a note to remember this gem in the mountains for future adventures with their families Tom was a very attentive host and a highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a mountain retreat.

Wonderful time relaxing in the mountains. Clean and comfy cabin. Tom and Sue are so sweet.
A beautiful cabin in the woods. Very clean. No one felt like they were on top of each other and every one could do their own thing without disturbing the others peace. Tom and Sue were super sweet and helpful. Will definitely have to stay again.

On top of the world
Amazing! There is nothing lacking in this cabin or with the hosts. They are accommodating, hospitable, and attentive to every need or desire. The drive up to the cabin was only scary the initial time. Once driven you realize it’s easy. Tom reassured us of this.
My family and I enjoyed local hikes and shopping, and also enjoyed a lot of time together in the cabin. We played games, baked an apple pie, sat on the covered porch because it rained almost all week, and thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with one another for a solid week. This place offered us so much more than just a A place to sleep. We all received the rest we so desperately needed and the peace and joy of being together. We were able to create lifetime memories and it was an absolutely priceless vacation.

Amazing property! Wonderful communication.
We were very happy to find this cabin while searching for a place for a large group of our family to spend a long weekend in the mountains of NC.
First off, the communication with Tom & Sue was AMAZING! We received email and phone call within hours of booking our stay to see if we had any further questions, as well as asking about any special occasions so they can prepare ahead of time. Then a few days before our visit, another email detailing how to access the property and ensuring we had all the contact information we needed and was followed by another phone call. We were going to be meeting Tom and Sue at the base of the resort and to be taken up to the cabin at check in time. Even when we had quite the experience while driving to NC, Tom called several times to check to see if we needed anything and even offered to go to the store for us while we were waiting for a rental car and a great recommendation for Brickhouse Pizza and Burgers! Even throughout the stay, we were able to contact them any time we had a question. This was our only stay ever with NO issues with the owners/property!
This cabin was PERFECT! We had 2 couples with 2 young children each, and 2 sets of grandparents and it could not have been more perfect with a whole separate area on 1st floor, another suite on the 2nd floor and then rooms and bathroom for the grandparents on the top floor. And the dinning room table with space for us all! We enjoyed the weather, as it was perfect and the views from the mountain were stunning.
The on demand waterfall was really neat and relaxing in the hot tub each evening was wonderful.
We thank Tom and Sue for a perfect weekend gettaway and hopefully we will be able to visit again, for longer next time!

Heaven on Earth
From the moment we booked our stay, Tom and Sue were there for us from answering questions to giving us great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do.
The views from the front deck were breath taking and the house was absolutely magnificent! It was both spacious and cozy! We have been rental hopping all around western NC for several year now and we know we have found our favorite location by far! We are already booking two separate weeks next year for the Heaven on earth home!

Enjoyed the stay but was the listing was not correct
The cabin was nice and clean, the owners were friendly they even had chocolate chip cookies and a birthday cake at the cabin waiting on us. The only complaint is the listing said 7 bedroom but there were only 4 bedrooms the other areas were common areas with a pullout couch. It was inconvenient with couples having to sleep out in the common areas with no privacy.

Perfect getaway
We had a great experience from check-in to departure. Tom met us and escorted us up the mountain to the property, gave us the tour answering any questions, and left us to enjoy paradise in the mountains.
This place is immaculately clean, quiet, and comfortable. The views up and down the valley are spectacular, day and night! The hot tub, the waterfall, and the fireplace all help to welcome you and keep you there.
We drove to Cherokee and up to the ski area, otherwise we simply enjoyed the peace and quiet at Woods and Water 4. I highly recommend this property!

Enjoyed Our Stay - Great Accomodations
Our group of 8 guys spent 4 nights at this mountain house on our annual golf trip to the mountains and had a great time. The accommodations were clean and the kitchen was well stocked with condiments and everything you would need to prepare and serve food which we did every night to avoid eating out with the current COVID situation. For our trip with 8 guys, it can be hard to find a place that has 8 separate beds but this place met our needs (3 of them are pull out sofa sleepers). There is plenty of room and the house is very clean and comfortable. The owners Tom and Sue are as nice and accommodating as any property owners I have ever met. They will personally greet you and tour you through the house on your arrival and were always on call to answer any question you might have. I highly recommend this house for your mountain vacation especially if you have a large group.

Wonderful family getaway
We definitely enjoyed our stay in this very clean, well maintained cabin. We had plenty of room although the VRBO website listed the home as 7 bedrooms while only having 4 total. We were able to make it work without issue. Be prepared for a fun ride up to the house, the road and driveway are quite steep! Made the adventure fun for sure! Tom was great, very welcoming. I have never had a property owner/manager provide so much hospitality, it was greatly appreciated. I would recommend this cabin for family fun!

Mountain Time
We all had a great time in the mountains. Tom and Sue's property is beautiful and fulfilling of all we needed/wanted. Tom made sure to provide a warm welcome and walkthrough of the property and was just a phone call/text away if anything was needed. Tom and Sue also provided cookies that we enjoyed all weekend long. We would recommend this rental for anyone looking to get away to the mountains for some rest and relaxation.

My oldest son was getting married in Asheville and we needed a place to stay that would accommodate family members while attending the event. This home was absolutely perfect! It accommodates everyone and the views from the property were amazing! The owners were wonderful and it all helped to make what can often be a stressful event one of the most enjoyable and memorable weddings any of us have been to. Would highly recommend and we’re hoping that some time soon we can revisit!
