About this house rental
Summary:
Welcome to this Colorado getaway! When you retire after a day of Colorado adventure, you don’t have to close the door on its unique character. This 3-BDRM, 2.5-bath home was thoughtfully designed to wrap you in the spirit of the region with every convenience and a comfortable elegance. With an occupancy of up to 8 people, it’s suitable for family retreats and memorable getaways with friends.
The Space:
The location places you within easy reach of the area’s many unforgettable attractions and plentiful opportunities for outdoorsy fun.
Your home-away-from-home is nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by fragrant pines and under the gaze of the awe-inspiring Rockies. A huge driveway provides parking for multiple vehicles and includes enough space for an RV (no hookups and the detached garage is not available for use). The house's exterior is reminiscent of the rugged mountain landscape. Inside, you’ll love the airy, open concept first floor with a high-pitched ceiling that suggests the height of the mountains and its crisp, fresh air. The décor has been carefully selected for a perfect combination of sleek, modern comfort and rugged Colorado character.
The living room provides seating for at least eight and leads into the dining area and kitchen, with an inviting table for six - that expands to seat 8 with a drop leaf. The dining area is flooded with light from a sliding glass door leading to the outdoor entertaining area. The table overlooks a cozy, spacious game/family room. Prepare meals in the well stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a full-size stove and refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and deep double sink. Also provided are a crockpot, coffee maker, blender, cooking utensils, and chef’s knives.
Down a short flight of stairs, you’ll be irresistibly lured into the game/family room with its plump, sumptuous leather sofas, plush carpet, and large TV. This is the space to rest your weary, satisfied bones after a day of hiking, fly fishing, or rafting. Kids and adults alike will love the foosball table and multiple board games! Conveniently, there’s a bathroom on the lower level.
Just off the family room there is a wonderful recreation room. A clever convertible table converts from a pool table to a ping-pong surface. You’ll find all the accessories you need here to play, plus a wall-mounted TV to watch while you’re waiting for your shot and a soundbar to play all your tunes by bluetooth. The room has two twin beds - inside a trundle bed comfy sofa - which can also be used to enjoy the entertainment of your family or friends playing pool or ping pong. A small refrigerator is located in the room so you can have all your refreshing drinks handy.
On the second floor, a primary bedroom with King-size bed includes an en suite bath with shower stall, plus a ceiling fan, air conditioning, and a TV for unwinding in private. A large closet includes an iron and ironing board for your convenience.
A second bedroom also sleeps two with a King-size bed, soothing ceiling fan and large walk in closet.
The third bedroom is a cheerful space ideal for all travelers with two extra large twin beds. A full bath includes a shower/tub combo with sliding glass doors and a generously sized sink vanity. A full-size washer and dryer are tucked behind closet doors in the hall.
Colorado is a celebration of the outdoors, and this home invites you to enjoy life under a big sky with a fantastic outdoor entertainment area. Take meals outside on the deck at the umbrella table that seats six, just beside the fire pit surrounded by four chairs. Barbecue on the grill, then sink into the oversized hot tub tucked under the stars. Refine your bean bag tossing skills with two cornhole games in the fenced yard or enjoy a game of giant Jenga! Please note that our wood-burning fireplace is currently out of order and inaccessible for use. This decision is in alignment with both our hosting regulations and insurance policies.
Guest Access:
You will have access to everything in the home, as well as the hot tub and fenced in yard. We recommend a 4WD or AWD in the Colorado area during the winter. The driveway has room for an RV! Please note there are no hookups.
Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and that extends to every facet of your stay, including our hot tub. To keep it in optimal condition, we have a professional hot tub technician visit our property once a week. This maintenance visit, usually lasting about an hour, ensures that the hot tub is kept clean, functional, and ready for your enjoyment throughout your stay.
Rest assured, these visits are designed to be non-intrusive. The technician only needs access to the outdoor area and will not disturb your indoor privacy. We schedule these sessions to ensure minimal disruption to your relaxation and aim to provide you with a seamless, top-notch experience and the detached garage is not available for use.
The Neighborhood:
Woodland Park is just about 20 minutes west of Colorado Springs, up Ute Pass and located at around 8,300’ elevation in the mountains. Although linked closely to Colorado Springs, it retains a unique character all its own — a real mountain town. There’s charm here, peace and quiet, but also unique restaurants, cafes, breweries and special places like the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center … a privately owned dinosaur museum!
The greater area is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, yet the variety of sites and entertainments offer something to please everyone. For breathtaking views, visit the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center, where awe-inspiring sandstone rock formations soar 300 feet into the sky. Don’t miss Pikes Peak, “America’s Mountain” at 14,115 feet. Live your best life biking, hiking, ziplining, rafting, exploring fossil beds, waterfalls and wildlife. Meander through Manitou Springs and fall in love with its artistic charms, or explore Old Colorado City, a lively area of Colorado Springs that’s rich in dining options, galleries, shopping and more. Kids of all ages will love the Florissant Fossil Beds and the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, just up the highway. In the immediate neighborhood, you’ll find several casual family dining options, as well as supermarkets, drug stores, and large retail chains for your convenience.
Getting Around:
Although there are plenty of restaurants, bars and outdoor recreational opportunities close to this property, we recommend that you have a 4WD or AWD vehicle or use Uber or Lyft when traveling in the Pikes Peak Region.

The bedrooms, living areas and game room were a huge hit. Loved having ping-pong, billiard tables, cornhole outside, and foosball. Kitchen was great for a short day and well stocked.
Bathrooms could use a remodel, but again were sufficient for a short term stay. Owner was very courteous about having a contractor over and making sure the time was convenient for us.
Would recommend the hot tub be fully drained and cleaned between renters. We did not use it.
Location with a great spot for Woodland Park and getting to Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, pikes Peak, etc.
Kids liked seeing elk and deer in the front yard every morning.

This was a wonderful house to stay to reunite with two dear friends I haven’t seen in 6 years. It wasn’t the perfect home base for our adventures and a wonderful place to relax in the evenings. The backyard is surrounded by other houses but it was still so quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table. The only bummer is that check-in seems to be getting later and check-out seems to be getting earlier for VRBOs which decreases the time spent there while the cost continues to increase for renting. But this property didn’t have a ridiculous list of chores to complete before check out which was a definite plus!

Great location! Close to center of town. Nice quiet street.

We loved the place. Very comfortable and fun for the kids. The hot tub was the best.
5.0 / 5.0
The house is perfectly nestled in a cul de sac of a safe and aesthetic neighborhood. There was a great deal of space for conversation, entertainment and sleeping arrangements for the three of us. We loved the nearby town and saw several deer in the area.
3.0 / 5.0
The house more than twice the listed cost after fees. The carpet had stains, the blinds were broken, the main shower dripped all night, someone must have used soap in the hot tub before us because it foamed so much we couldn’t stay in it for long, and the outlets worked intermittently. There was no cable and the internet went down the last day so we weren’t able to work (no storms, no wind, just off). Sorry, was basically all we heard from the Hoste company. The “4th bedroom” is the garage which at 30° was way too chilly to sleep in. Never used the pool table because it was also in the very chilly garage. At the listed cost per night, these things wouldn’t have been a big deal, but having paid as much as my last stay at a deluxe Disney resort hotel, the expectation is a little higher.

The home was warm, clean and welcoming like my own home. I thought the houses were more spread apart but it was like a normal neighborhood. The game room was great!

House is great, good location, clean, stocked with what we needed. Woodland Park is a beautiful place. Unfortunately, before booking this home I inquired about using the detached garage to store our bikes at night and was told we could utilize it, however, when we arrived I followed up with how to access the locked garage and was told it was for owner storage only. I would not have booked this location knowing that. Obviously my guests and I were extremely disappointed. We were given a $200 refund which is better than nothing but it is less than 7% of the cost.
Also, about 20min after we arrived, an individual showed up needing to get inside to do some maintaince. Not a big deal but just one more thing that distracted from our vacation.

House is beautiful. Lots to do inside the house in case of cold and rainy days like we ran into. House location was perfect for exploring that part of Colorado and all it has to offer. Had no issues with our stay, thanks for letting us use your house.
Fourteen year old loved the ping pong and pool table. Visit from the neighborhood deer were highlights as well!
2.0 / 5.0
Not a $400+ property. Breakers popping constantly. Bannister broken, beds cheap, broken and hard as a rock. On demand water heater beeped loudly entire time anyone took a shower. Showering was hot cold, hot cold. Dishwasher worked when it felt like. Bodily fluids on a throw blanket from prior guests. Neighborhood beautiful, but continuous barking dog of neighbors. Several electrical plugs do not work.

Awesome house
What’s not to love. This house is great! I love the extra table / seating in the living room. The outdoor area was awesome and I loved the number of seats! I liked the two living areas. We used all the space.
We would stay there again.
The temperature was fine. We opened the windows.
The frying pans are bad. Honestly, I’d replace the pots and pans.

Very clean. Loved watching the deer. Hot tub was great.

Great Place!
Me and my family loved this place so much, we will come back here again. Loved the town and restaurants. Wish we had one more day there. So much to do and so little time.
