About this apartment rental
Summary:
The Pickle Factory is tucked away at the corner of Tobacco and Electric Alley, less than an 8-minute drive from downtown Cincinnati, 5-minute drive from the Newport Aquarium, and a 3-minute walk away from the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. It's conveniently located within walking distance of local eateries, live music, coffee shops, breweries and bars, a food market, many local shops.
The Space:
As you step into this room and are surrounded by vintage details, blacks and golds, and industrial touches, we hope you’re reminded of the everyday life of merchants and factory workers post-industrial revolution. The history of this building has been uniquely woven into every detail of the design of each room. At different points in time, it was a soft drink factory, a pickle factory, and one of the first African-American Odd Fellows lodges. The original owner was Henry Wenzel, a successful businessperson and the reason for the name of this specific room.
Two bedrooms with queen beds, two full bathrooms, large windows with natural light, individual living areas with TVs, wifi, etc. One kitchenette inside the Wenzel Mod. The Wenzel Luxe and Wenzel Mod rooms are connected by a locked door.
Guest Access:
Guest will receive door codes to the building and their rooms via email after booking and signing our terms and agreement policy. Access to the apartment is limited only to registered guests. Any visitors must be approved by the host and may not stay overnight.
We require all guests to sign our rental agreement and provide photo ID via the digital form before check-in instructions will be sent. Check-in info is sent 5 days prior to check-in, assuming completion of the rental agreement.
The Neighborhood:

In recent years, Covington has seen a rise in trendy eateries, local artists, and growing businesses. It has a city feel and opportunities within a small town size and comfort.

While our stay was a short 12 hours. We loved the unique decor. The ease of check in was so nice with our late
11 pm arrival. Location is excellent just minutes from the Great American ballpark. We will definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay. When we booked, we didn’t realized it was a 2 bedroom. It was a little bigger than we needed for the two of us. It was a beautiful place and we enjoyed the neighborhood around!

Nice Area Near The Good Stuff
I stumbled upon The Pickle Factory…it is an 8 unit individualized themed apartment/vrbo that was in a pretty nice area that is all either renovated or being renovated. Definitely an easy walk to the stadium and was pretty close to a few restaurants, bars and coffee shops. I don’t know what the other rooms are like but the one we stayed in was called The Aristocrat and was very cool!

Our stay at the Pickle Factory
What a cool old building! We loved the whole place, the furnishings and the antiques. It felt like we took a step back in time. It was very quiet and easy to get to all the places we wanted to go. We would definitely stay here again and bring the rest of the family.

Stunning space in a great location
The rooms were absolutely gorgeous and the beds incredibly comfortable. We had a slight issue at check-in in that the rooms were only 56 degrees. We attempted to contact management to help figure out the wall-mounted heating devices but didn't get a response. We eventually were able to turn up the temperature and after about 4 hours the rooms were warm enough to relax in. Thankfully there were plenty of bars and restaurants around to enjoy while the space was warming.

Beautiful property, Great location,
The developer/design team did a phenomenal job. Beautiful renovation of building. Lots of character maintained. Ac was ice cold, dark room and blackout drapes everyone slept late. Keyless entry from street/room for safety. Wet bar area w/ stove top, microwave and mini fridge was great. Parking close. Walkable restaurants/bar/LaRossa pizza( if from out of town, very good). Next time come home for a visit, will definitely book again
