"When you go to Naples you cry twice: when you arrive and when you leave," they say. Naples is a unique city, to be experienced by walking through the alleys, smelling the scent of gastronomic delicacies in the air, and admiring its rich artistic and monumental heritage.
Naples has a distinctive culinary tradition for its famous Neapolitan pizza, and the art of its pizza makers has been declared an intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
Strolling through Spaccanapoli, the street that cuts the city in half, one traverses its thousand-year history thanks to the presence of ancient palaces and churches, such as the Duomo di Napoli and the Maschio Angioino. If there is one place that symbolizes Naples, it is Piazza del Plebiscito, now a symbol of the new 'Neapolitan Renaissance' where tourists come to admire its grandeur and two jewels: the neoclassical colonnade of the church of San Francesco di Paola and the Royal Palace. Today it is also possible to visit 'the underground city', or the so-called 'belly of Naples', which served the Neapolitans as a refuge during the bombing raids, where tourists can walk through the Greco-Roman aqueduct, the air-raid shelters, and finally visit the War Museum.
Particularly not to be missed is the San Severo Chapel, which houses the sculpture of the Veiled Christ, one of the most fascinating and mysterious works to be seen in Naples, the work of Giuseppe Sanmartino.
The airport Napoli Capodichino is with a 10-minutes drive while the central train station is 5 minutes walking distance from the apartment.

The house was large and spacious but the oven did not work, there was no microwave and the shower head was also not working. It is located in a not so nice neighborhood. I would of also preferred a smart lock. We got charged extra to check in late because they had to let us in. Also, when you leave there is only one house key and it is attached to the key that provides hot water and AC. So anyone that stays behind doesn't have access to either. It was hard to coordinate 1 key with 3 couples.

We are writing to ask that VRBO inspect this particular apartment as it is not appropriate for rental. We have paid a lot of money to stay 5 nights and we have been disgusted with the facilities.
The dishes were dirty and we had to wash all dishes and utensils. There were no cloths to wash dishes, no towels to dry dishes, and no paper towels or napkins. I also had to buy dish soap (only 10 mL of a watered down dish detergent was left to wash dishes for 7 people over 5 days), cleaning cloths, paper towels.
The toilet water tank above toilet leaks with flushing (splashed onto my children’s head) and the shower tile is full of mold. I had to buy bleach and clean it the best I could. I had to buy toilet tissue and bath soap because there is not enough toilet tissue (only 2 rolls in the bathrooms) or bath soap (2 mini facial bars) supplied.
The outside space was very very dirty on our arrival. Most of the furniture is broken and damaged and the plants dead. The door handle from kitchen to outdoor patio is broken and guests can be easily locked out.
In addition the TV remote is broken and couch is broken inside.
When we booked the accommodation there was a dishwasher included. Now it has been removed from the website. Also a hot tub is advertised which is false advertising. There is no hot tub.
To expect guests to clean the large area is unacceptable. To have no clean and tidy furniture is also unacceptable. I lost valuable vacation time cleaning and buying supplies.

Huge apartment but not as well cared for as you would expect. 1 toilet flushed on its own every 20 minutes or so and the other one leaked after flushing. One comforter in loft was covered in stains. Not enough toilet paper provided. Zero napkins or paper towels provided - only 1 kitchen towel was provided at check in, we were told because the dishwasher was broken. Mold in the one shower. The large outdoor patio was dirty with cheap broken furniture and dying plants. It really could be so nice if the owners invested just a little. Very disappointed in the outdoor space that we were looking forward to hanging out on but it was dirty and buggy.

This was a great location to get everywhere. It was just like the pictures. The area seems sketchy but once we walked around we really enjoyed it. The street noise is very prevalent it doesnt stop all night. So if you are a light sleeper choose the back room. That was the only real issue there was and it wasnt an issue for us because we sleep well

Really nice apartment near the train station
This is a very nice property with close proximity to the train station. This was good for us as we used the train to get to Napoli from Roma and to visit Herculaneum. However, know that it is a solid 15 minute walk to the central district and more to the port. Our host was very responsive and helpful as a circuit breaker trip led to the boiler not working properly on the first night. This was promptly resolved on the next day with no additional issues. Overall, we would recommend this property.
