Church View is a bright & airy Purbeck stone bungalow situated in one of the most historic areas of Swanage, with easy access to the town centre, beach and cliff walks of the South West Coast Path. This modern two bedroom property, with private garden & patio/bbq area, off street parking and garage is ideal for families, couples, walkers and cyclists looking to enjoy the beautiful Isle of Purbeck. Local amenities include a convenience store, local pub, fish & chip shop and Indian restaurant all within 5 minutes walk.
The property is set in an elevated position overlooking St. Marks church and the nearby hills just a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the beach. It offers comfortable accommodation with a cosy lounge, bright modern kitchen-diner and a private garden which benefits from a patio area for outdoor summer dining & BBQs. The walled garden is fully enclosed and offers a safe play area for children & dogs or simply a quiet place to rest and relax. There a large garage ideal for bicycles, jet skis and water sports equipment, with launch facilities less than a mile away at Peveril Point boat park. For hikers and walkers the property is 5 minutes walk to the start of the Priests Way which leads to the stunning coastal paths of the Jurassic coast.

The pictures do not do this property justice. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. Great location and great base for exploring the area. The owners we great at communicating and ensured everything was perfect and in pace for our arrival. Finding the property was easy as was checking in. All systems they have in place run like clockwork. I highly recommend this property and the owners and will be sharing to friends and family as a great place to stay and also to revisit. This is definitely in my favourites list. Thank you for letting us stay in your home and the champagne for my daughters birthday was a special added bonus!

We had a wonderful stay - property clean and well-kept, Gill and Andrew very helpful with a couple of minor problems. Perfect size for our family of 4, very easy access to Swanage and out into the countryside - only had to use the car once! Thank you!

We had a very enjoyable stay in Swanage. We chose this property as it was close to my mum’s house (only a five minute walk). The space in the house was perfect for our family of four. Good room sizes and comfortable beds. There local cost cutter shop was a minute’s walk so we were able to easily get supplies as and when we needed them. Gill was a great host.

A nice property, that is well looked after, which is nice and warm especially if the british coastal weather is inclement.
Welcome Pack was very nice and communication with the host - Gill, was excellent as some owners are almost invisibile or incommunicado when you visit. Property is about a mile from the sea front, so a bit of a walk, if you need to do it several times a day back and forth. The driveway is good for a medium size / estate car only. Very dog friendly and rear garden is very private and secure.
Overall this is a very good property if your staying in Swanage and is in a good location for travelling to Studland, Lulworth, Wareham, Corfe Castle etc.

What a lovely stay we had seeing the New Year in by the seaside. This is such a lovely location. Gill is a wonderful host, we arrived to find a warm cosy home with gratefully received treats. The best very comfortable, amazing powerful shower arrival comfortable beds, powerful shower, the garden ideal for our pooch. We had a lovely break, thank you for your recommendations on the local area, we would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We loved the sunny aspect of this house and the garden to the rear. The house is located on a quiet road within walking distance of the town and whilst we couldn’t park on the steep drive there is parking very close by. Inside the house is very clean and has everything you need. The beds are extremely comfortable and the shower is excellent. A great find!

A lovely cottage in beautiful Swanage.
The Kitchen was well equipped, but I would suggest getting separate bins for recycling,food and rubbish. Also a couple of more wine glasses wouldn’t go a miss.
The wine, tea, milk etc. were a really nice touch.
Gill was very helpful regarding check in with updates when we could get in earlier.
Beds were super comfy.
We loved are stay at Church View Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our fish and chips from Herston Fish Bar and our meal at Salt Pig Too.

Church View is a splendid holiday let. Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The garden is enclosed and the property is very dog-friendly. The location is slightly disappointing set on a road in a 'suburb' of Swanage. The 15 minute walk into town is not particularly pleasant and parking is a slight problem unless you have a small car that will fit on the narrow drive. However we had a really nice stay and the Isle of Purbeck is superb.

Good Property - well equipped and modern
Great stay in lovely, modern bungalow. Good garden for small dogs and very well equipped. However, extremely uncomfortable, cheap, rock hard mattresses in both bedrooms which both my friend and I found spoiled things utterly, both ending up with painful backs in the morning. Upgrades needed!
