About this house rental

Architect refurbished Purbeck stone cottage with private south facing courtyard garden tucked away in a peaceful and tranquil location down a quiet lane off Bell Street one of the oldest streets in Swanage.

4 bedrooms arranged as 2 double bedrooms and 2 single bedrooms with one family bathroom and one ensuite. All linen and towels are provided.

Traditional stone cottage that has been lovingly converted to provide modern bright and airy open plan accommodation in a peaceful and quiet location with private garden to sit and relax in.

* Nearest beach: Less than 1 mile
* Pets: 1 small dog allowed (please keep off furnishings)

Within walking distance to Swanage beach and the towns, shops and restaurants. There is free unrestricted street parking at the property. Linen and Utilities provided.

Please note the property is set back from the road and accessed via a pathway which is approx 50 meters. No WiFi but can get 4G signal.

Property is quite small but very clean, well equipped and in a good location. The biggest problem we had was that the hot water didn't work properly all week. We told the owner on the day we arrived but it was never fixed. He said they were waiting for part but our view was that they could just go to a plumbing supply shop and pick one up and get it fixed. The owner did not contact us about this matter all week, responding only when we contacted him. With young children, hot water is vital and all we had was a very small flow which we had great difficulty in getting. Also, the TV wasn't tuned so we only had BBC 2 and 4. This wasn't a big problem as we were out a lot.

Had a very enjoyable stay at ‘Hideaway House’ , the property is well equipped, comfortable and quiet. Very important to me is that the beds were very comfortable and spotlessly clean so you will enjoy a good nights sleep after a busy days sightseeing I would certainly return in the future. One tip, if you visit when the evenings are dark take a torch as the pathway leading to the house is rather dark (although a small torch is in the kitchen)

Very important to me is that the beds were very comfortable and spotlessly clean so you will enjoy a good nights sleep after a busy days sightseeing I would certainly return in the future.
