The property was very comfortable with great outside areas kept cool by shade and fans. The pool was a little smaller than led to believe but it was child friendly and kept clean by the owner. Tina the manager was super helpful and very welcoming. Overall we would love to return to this delightful villa in a lovely village.

We had a wonderful holiday here with the family. The hosts, Jan and Andrew, were both lovely and live nearby. They were extremely helpful during our stay and even posted back a kindle when we left it behind. They also provided a small food parcel and bottle of wine when we arrived! The villa is beautiful and so is the local village. The courtyard area with the table and pool is perfect for relaxing, and the property itself is really well fitted out and decorated. There is a bar and restaurant on the main square and everyone is very friendly. For anyone that wants to swim more seriously - there is also a 30m local open air swimming pool in the village, which since it was the school holidays, was free to use. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Pros: Great house for families! We loved the pool, the outside sitting area in the shade with a big table and fan (!). Friendly village with a great restaurant on the main square.

Pros: If you are looking for "Full English breakfast sold here" or ghastly "boom boom" music until daft O' clock in the morning or hundreds of lager louts I would suggest you look elsewhere now. BUT If you are looking for total relaxation where "busy" would amount to the village donkey passing twice through the square then you have found your ideal spot. Absolutely delightful hosts who cannot do enough for you, beautiful scenic views across the mountains to the sea, unspoilt villages hidden here and there and the locals are friendly too! Jan and Andrew's cottage has everything you need including a superb roof terrace (for even more relaxation) or you can hit the "nightlife" in the village square all of 100 yards away with two excellent bar/restaurants to choose from. For the more adventurous Malaga is close at hand as are other pretty seaside villages and towns. This was our second visit and hopefully by no means the last, cannot recommend this highly enough.

Pros: We stayed in Andrews cabin for 12 days, and had a great time. The house is nice and cosy. The view from the roof terrace is amazing, and the outside dining area is a great way to relax in privacy. During our stay we took day trips to Sevilla, Granada, Antiquera, Ronda, and lots of smaller mountian side cities. All together we can only give our best recommendation .

Pros: We spent a wonderful week in La casita azul. The week before we had stayed in a house overlooking Lake Iznájar, so we were a bit afraid we would feel closed in, since this house is located in the centre of a village. Luckily, we were wrong: from the patio you can enjoy some mountain views and from the roof terrace you can also see the sea. The house was very clean and the pool and the garden are perfectly maintained. Jan and Andrew had already provided us with some drinks and food on arrival. They are perfect hosts: there when you need them, but for the rest they stay in the background. On our final evening in Moclinejo they invited us for some pre-dinner drinks on their rooftop terrace and we enjoyed their wonderful stories and their lovely sense of humour. They try to make your stay as agreeable as possible. We think it’s very good that they don’t rent out the second house on the domain to people not belonging to your group. The location is only a 15-minute-drive from the motorway, so Malaga and other places of interest are easy to reach. There is a (very) small supermarket in the village and two bar-restaurants are just around the corner. A holiday home to come back to in the future

Pros: We wanted to say a huge thank you and to let you know how much we enjoyed our visit to Moclinejo. The house itself is lovely. The kids loved the pool (nearly every photo of the cottage has at least on of them in the pool) and we really appreciated the clean, well-provisioned facilities, as well as the relative calm of Dos Chimneas. We let the kids have the main house & we stayed next door, though we cooked all the time in the big kitchen & ate together on the covered dining area. The town was alive with Fiesta on the night we arrived- we watched fireworks through the window from our bed in the early hours! The next 3 days it seemed the place was resting to get over the post fiesta hangover. Nothing opened & there was no one around. In fact we were worried the noise of our kids in the pool was the only thing shattering the peace. We drove down to Benagalbon on our second night to find somewhere to eat and stumbled across La Candelaria, where with a bit of sign language & a lot of smiling & nodding, we enjoyed a lovely selection of tapas dishes. We only noticed a few days later your painting of the front of the restaurant on the landing. The fried aubergine and croquettes became staples of our meals out but were never quite as good as that first time. We enjoyed a trip into Malaga; a day in Rincon (where we took the group shot with the temperature sign to make everyone back home jealous); a visit to the Bodega; a Picasso exhibition in the town’s gallery; a swim in the big pool; a relaxed coffee & chat with Iris & Carson; & meals at both venues in the main square. Next time we hope to venture further afield as well as experiencing more of local culture. The kids weren’t too keen on Malaga cathedral for instance - next time maybe.... I’m sure we’ll be in touch with a view to booking our next visit before long. Thank you again, and really sorry it took us so long to write,
