This large and charming villa in Nerja with a private pool and a jacuzzi with capacity for 10 guests, is located within a 10,000 square meters plot with fruit trees. This is a very unique property due to its size and accessibility options.
The spacious villa has a traditional charm and occupies a large plot in a quiet, rural location. Guests staying here can enjoy wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, the sea and the Sierra de Almijara mountains in the distance. It is possible to walk to the Playazo beach only 1 Km away (foot access only).
Accessibility:
Arrival to Villa El Crucero is via its large electric gates, giving access to a private parking area with enough space for 3 cars. all the property zones (except the apartment) are accesible via a ramp ideal for wheel chair users or infirm guests. This ramp surrounds the property and reaches up to the pool and BBQ areas. Inside the main building there is a small internal ramp from the dining room/kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms.

The pool outside is h salt-water for a much better quality swim than standard chlorine pools. The large pool measures 10 meters x 4.8 meters with a depth of 1 meter at the shallow end and 1.9 meters at the deep end. There is also a jacuzzi (heated pool) / kids pool that can be heated to about 24 degrees in cold months. The outside area offers plenty of space including a bread oven, BBQ, seating area, toilet with shower and several sun beds.
Inside:
The property is divided in the main building with 4 bedrooms, 2 complete bathrooms, toilet, kitchen, dining room and living room. There is a separate apartment under the terrace area with the fifth bedroom (2 single beds), a bathroom with shower and a small tea-point area.
Air conditioning in 2 rooms (master double bedroom in the main house and also in the apartment), Internet (Wi-Fi), safe, hair dryer, TV with satellite channels.
In the kitchen the facilities include refrigerator, microwave, oven, freezer, dishwasher, dishes/cutlery, kitchen utensils, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and juicer.
The property has one toilet in the living room area and four bathrooms, one with bath and wc and three with shower cubicle and wc (one of them near the pool)

In my opinion, the highlights of this villa were 1) the pool - it is big and mostly deep so you can do some proper swimming, with a shallower jacuzzi pool next to it. 2) the location - it's a bit a twisty road to get there but there is little traffic, however the advantage of that is that you have no neighbours overlooking you, it's quiet and in the middle of an avocado orchard - so relaxing!

We had a wonderful stay in this villa, plenty of space for our party of 5 children and 4 adults. We particularly enjoyed the space outside the villa (it is situated in the middle of an avocado farm) with loads of (enclosed) space for the children to explore, fruit trees (the lovely owner brought us some and gave us lots of helpful information), a large pool and brilliant smaller heated pool with jets which was perfect for the children (especially in late October when the main pool was a little chilly unless doing serious swimming), plus bbq and outdoor pizza oven which made for some great outdoor dining. The villa has a lovely Spanish feel to it, and had everything we needed. Some of the beds were a little firm (but that may be personal preference, and is fairly common in Spain) and the villa is quite a walk into Nerja (we did it a few times and it took around 50 minutes to get to the old town) so you definitely do need a car, but we knew that in advance. We would definitely recommend and thought it was great value for all the space.
Mattresses on the double beds were quite uncomfortable (very hard) - but that may be personal preference!

Stayed here with 2 family groups including teens and primary age. They all loved it, beach is 4 mins drive and mountains 10 mins. Very accessible and fantastic outside space. Pepe and the agents were super helpful and welcoming.

Beautiful, homely feel, huge outdoor space, fantastic pools and outdoor facilities, laundry and shower room by the pool were great. Very clean, fantastic communication from Maribel. We also had lovely avocados given to us from Pepe from the garden! Thank you!
More storage in the kitchen would have been good as we like to cook so had to move things around to store food. Not a big issue though, we managed.

We loved the large pool and plentiful sun beds. We also appreciated all the extras - table tennis table with plenty of bats and balls, beach umbrella . The variety of outside seating areas is a real bonus. We enjoyed being just outside Nerja and loved the quiet and the hill views but it was easy to get into town and we visited 5 different beaches all within 20 minutes drive.
The property company and owner are extremely responsive and helpful.

Our stay at Villa el Crucero was just magnificent. Even though the property is a little bit hidden, the Agency made sure to send us the location and the best way how to get there. The property was just wonderful and as in the picture. There was everything you needed in the house. It was also great that the house is very close to the city. With the car you just need 5 Minutes. I would absolutely recommend the place and would love to go back in the future.

The owner and management couldn't of done enough for us throughout our stay. We made great use of both the pools and the smaller heated jacuzzi pool was fantastic for the kids. Evening's were spent either barbecuing or using the pizza oven. Thank you!

Beautiful setting, lovely pool and what a relaxing experience in the hot tub. The house spacious and very welcoming. Because it was early in spring, evenings were cool and we asked to use the indoor fireplace and we spend many happy family moments in front of it. The bbq area provides for everything with the most amazing views over the Avocado trees towards the sea. Lidl was a 5min drive away and if you feel like walking around 35min at a relaxing slow pace. Looking for the beach you will find that also at a 5min drive away or again around a 30min stroll, with a lovely beach. Nerja Town itself a lovely setting to stroll around and there is plenty of things to see and places to eat or drink a cocktail. Nerja Town also less than 10min drive away. Nerja caves a must see and you can easily spend 3 hours there listening to a self guided tour. On your way out stop at

Enough space to 10 people to have their own space and also re connect for dinning, with enough dinning areas for a different area each meal of the day.
The BBQ and pizza oven are a must to use, to get a real alfresco Spanish feel for your meals.
The team for the house are so friendly and helpful to solve any small issues but also there for the day to day questions you may well have. The team have been world class from start to finish.
I can't rate these guys highly enough. We loved it!!!!

Thank you for our lovely stay
A lovely vacation house with great pool area and spacious garden. We stayed two families with five children aged 3-7 for a week and had a great time. Very easy to communicate with the agency and they were quick to respond and help when we had locked ourselves out one day. The city of Nerja is nice and only five minutes away with car. The beach is walking distance of 1 k. The house is a great spot for outings, such as the village Frigiliana and Granada. Several supermarkets are close by and the kitchen is well equipped. Would definitely book again if our travels takes us back to the sun coast of Spain.

The villa we stayed over the half term was amazing. Very much tucked in but within 5-10 mins drive you are already in the lovely beach in Nerja. The hot tub and big swimming pool is also brilliant and the pizza oven and BBQ under lovely winter sun is something special. The villa sits in middle of big ground and surrounded by lots of mature fruit trees. Maribel in the agency also very helpful and good with communication and always provides prompt response. It was brilliant holiday during half term and definitely worth travelling abroad under still COVID-19 restriction. Definitely recommend to other people.

Maybe a little more units in the cupboard-departement would be handy: coffeespoons, forks, wine/beerglasses etc. Especially when the groups are big (8-10) peoples.

Ubicado a 5 minutos en coche de Nerja. Si buscas desconectar de la rutina, sin duda es el sitio perfecto. Recomendable 100%. Realmente el alojamiento es perfecto para grupos grandes, sin duda es un lugar idílico para desconectar y a la altura de las expectativas. Repetiremos seguro!
Nos sorprendió al llegar lo grande que es en comparación con las fotos ya que lo esperábamos más pequeño, todo muy bien , la comunicación, la casa, el terreno, la zona (puedes ir a Nerja o Frigiliana en tan solo unos minutos con el coche), y si tienes hijos es una gran opción ya que corren por la amplitud del terreno, por ejemplo de zonas comunes como la piscina o la entrada de la casa. Repetiremos seguro! Una casa con mucho encanto para quedarse hasta varios días.

Cinco matrimonios amigos compartimos la estancia. Inolvidable .El momento diario de jacuzzi insuperable, nos metíamos los 10 y aquello parecía un puchero así que lo rebautizamos le quitamos el "crucero" y le pusimos "Villa puchero". Pusimos música, al estar muy independientes y dimos nuestra fiesta anual en unas condiciones inmejorables lo recomiendo 100%

La casa es bonita y grande. Buenas camas. La finca en general es muy agradable con mucho espacio y una plantación de aguacates alrededor.

A superb property with brilliant views. The heated jacuzzi pool was appreciated especially by the children and adults alike. The larger non-heated pool was not quite warm enough in late April for us but I'm sure would be excellent in the summer. The multitude of dining areas around the property was lovely and the BBQ and pizza oven were great. The local Lidl was very convenient and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The local town of Nerja is beautiful and has great beaches. We took day trips to Frigiliana, Malaga and Marbella and felt like we only scratched the surface of the area.

Hidden gem in Nerja
Spacious villa that accommodates up to 10 people. Myself and my family stayed here for a week over new years. I could not get over the size of the villa and the grounds. Large swimming pool and heated Jacuzzi outside. BBQ and pizza oven outside also. In the mornings it was nice to walk around the grounds and see the many fruit trees growing there. It is only a 10-15 minute walk to townthe beach. The staff were incredibly helpful and set us up with a local taxi driver, Francisco, who I highly recommend. Many thanks for a wonderful time Spainsunrentals and we hope to be back again soon.
We stayed during new years so although the daytime was nice and warm, it could get a little chilly in the evenings. There is a huge fireplace that can be lit in the living room which makes the place very cozy but maybe a few extra radiators would be of added benefit.

Lovely Spacious Vills
We came here as an party of 8 (5 adults, 3 children). There was plenty of space for us not to be on top of each other. Good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. We had an amazing stay. Due to the time of year we had some rain and we couldnt really sit out until late so we really used the villa and its facilities. All of which were fine. I do think that the dish washer needs replaced/fixed as we used it 2/3 times and had to wash everything that was in it after so we just gave up - given the numbers of us it would have been good if we could have used it properly. We also thought that because we were indoors in the evenings a few board games would have been ideal. We were provided with towels but we all thought that hand towels for all the bathrooms and kitchen would have been handy. We did have an issue with the kettle but this was reported and replaced the same day. These are just a few niggles that have brought the score from a 5* to a 4*. The location of the villa is stunning. It was approx 10/15 min walk to the bus stop and a relativly easy walk into Nerja by beach or road. The pool area is lovely. One heated and one cold. Once again given the time of year the warm pool was still a bit cold for me but the kids enjoyed it!! All in all we had a fabulous time and would love to book again.

Lovely spacious viila in beautiful surroundings and great location
We had a lovely stay here. Villa is very spacious with good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The location is fabulous with great views from all angles. The bus stop to Nerja is only a 10/15 minute walk but the actual walk to Nerja is very do able by beach or road. The villa offers everything you need for a comfortable stay and we wouldnt hesitate to come back again.

Erholsamer Urlaub über Weihnachten
Wir waren über Weihnachten und Neujahr zu zehnt in dem wunderbar ruhig gelegenem Ferienhaus. Besonders große Freude haben uns die großzügigen Terrassen und der Pool gemacht. Das Anwesen ist gepflegt und bietet schöne Ausblicke in die Berge und auf das Meer. Wir wurden sehr nett und zuverlässig von Maribel betreut, da es am Anfang Schwierigkeiten mit warmen Wasser gab. Im offenen Kamin musste rund um die Uhr ein Feuer brennen, damit das Haus warm wurde. Das war kein Problem, da wir regelmäßig mit Holz aus dem Garten beliefert wurden.
Wir haben alle unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und würden unbedingt wieder kommen.

Great place
Great rustic place with a great location and spectacular view close to Nerja, Beaches, high way etc. We had a really pleasant and cozy holiday with our children. The property has plenty of space. We all loved the place especially the children. Description is in alignment with reality. A really nice and spacey place, which we can recommend.
Remarks:
In the corner of the property the gardener has his small cottage and some chickens and a kitchengarden. He is the owners’ brother and is there from early morning to late afternoon every day, except Sundays. He was very nice and friendly indeed and brought us some vegetables and eggs. Big downside was a lack of feeling private.
If going to the beach we will recommend to visit Nerja’s beaches instead of the local – It takes only 5-10 min. to drive there.
The heating of Jacuzzi as well as the internet did not work on arrival, but Maribel (the agency’s represent) who was really friendly and helpful solved both problems. The pool was actually very nice and large, but during our 15 days stay there were no cleaning of the pool (sand at bottom, insects in the baskets and surface and a dead mouse on the bottom, which we removed ourselves).
A minor detail: The double beds are Only 120 cm wide.
