About this cabin rental
There are 3 cabins available for rent on the same large lot that can be rented together for larger groups or individually. Cabin A sits on top of Cabin B (Duplex), and Cabin C is on the other side of the property. There are two large swim piers to share. Each cabin has 2 queen bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Please note, this is Cabin C.
Experience the beauty of Smith Lake from the rocking chairs on the large front porch. The lot is fully manicured and shaded, making it a cool shaded place for kids to play and to take a break from the sun.
Jump in and enjoy the year round deep water from the 14x20 swim pier complete with a ladder and boat dock.
If your a fisherman, our fish are fed regularly and are easy to catch off the pier.
After a long day of playing, kick back and relax in the cabin complete with cozy furniture, wifi, smart tv and a rustic feel.
This cabin has 2 Queen beds, one reclining loveseat and one reclining sofa.
We provide an outdoor charcoal grill for your pleasure.
Location is everything! We are located 5 minutes from Dodge City, 15 minutes from Cullman, 40 minutes from Birmingham, and 55 minutes from Huntsville.
The lake lot lays well -just walk through the yard to the dock walkway and you are on the water-you dont have to go down hundreds of steps to get to the water. We recently added additional parking at the road. Allowing easy access for 3 rigs with boats to back down into parking near the cabins and two additional rigs with boats to easily pull in and out at the entrance. There is ample parking for cars as well.

Second time I’ve visited. A great relaxing time was had by all. Love the dock and being able to rent a pontoon. Tara and the cabin are wonderfully accommodating.

We came from Ohio for a 4 night stay and i cant imagine we would of picked a better location. We 100% intend on returning. Probably yearly. Everything from the cabin, the property, view, and anything in between is right here. Not to mention the price!!

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It is a peaceful spot. Upon arrival it was clean. WiFi worked well. Our only real issue is it says it sleeps six and the top of the listing shows two beds and the futon symbol. There were two couches with recliners but they were very lumpy and bedding wasn’t provided. There would be plenty of room for an air mattress if you are driving and can bring one. We were flying so that wasn’t an option. Otherwise we enjoyed it. Bathroom is in the master so keep that in mind. Utensils and pots and pans were all plentiful. Nice swimming dock although there are wasps/hornets so bring spray. For a small lake cabin, it is a great getaway and priced accordingly.

Love this property. Awesome location. Easy access to water (no steps just a slight slope). Launched our boat at Smith Lake Park (20 to 25 minutes from cabin by water), kept our boat docked at the swim dock at the cabin the whole time. So convenient and nice. Cabin is quaint and beautiful. Great, great place to stay. Our fur babies really enjoyed themselves as well. Tara is very responsive and a great host. Thank you, Tara!

Floor dirty, coffee pot dirty with molded coffee grounds, microwave nasty with cup of hot chocolate molded in it, sheets dirty, bedrooms unclean odor, beds extremely hard, bathtub leaking, grills fully loaded with old coals, stove so nasty if you turned it on it could catch on fire, bathroom rug filthy. Owner would not refund money and denied it all. Left after one night, booked for four. Lost $1,000.

Overall we had a great stay. Very close to town. As mentioned in listing, bring your own toilet paper and paper towels, only a few rolls of each at rental. Only 4 bath towels provided so if you plan to stay longer than a few days, make sure to pack extras (no W/D as mentioned in listening). The only negative was that it took a while for the AC to cool down the rental. We will stay again!

Very serene watching the water. Wish there had been floating devices

there was some construction activity on other side of lake that was a bit intrusive of the peacefulness;
the one bathroom is attached to master bedroom, so that guest had to walk through master to use the toilet. (minor inconvenience);
eating options were at quite a distance, since the grille at the closest marina is closed M&T.
I would recommend making this obvious in the listing, but the view was wonderful and I spent the day reading on the porch, which was very relaxing.

Peace and quiet. Everything you need for your home away from home. Loved it!

The property is peaceful and quiet. Cabin C is comfortable and has all that is needed for a quiet place to stay while enjoying the Blooming Festival in Cullman. Family members were able to join us for dinner and relaxation before they returned home for the day. It was a perfect getaway.

My 3rd stay at the property. Although slightly challenging to back a boat down the drive, it has been very doable until this stay. The adjacent cabin also had fishermen this time. We had 5 boats and trucks in the parking area!! Cabins are a great value but parking needs some attention with multiple cabins now being rentable.

I have been going to Smith lake in April for the past 25 years and stayed at several different places. This ranks up there with my top 2. Place was clean and no steps to the lake. Tara responded to any questions I had very quickly. Plan on going back in the fall.

We stayed for 3 nights, the cabin was wonderful, the view was amazing on the water!!! We truly enjoyed our stay and even met Tara and she shared about a project to make the property even more boat friendly. Just recommended to a fisherman fishing the Toyota event on Smith Lake!!! Thanks and will stay again if we’re back on Smith Lake!!!

We booked this cabin for our parent's 20th wedding anniversary. Tara went above and beyond helping us make it special for them and even hung decorations for them that I mailed. You can tell this home is a family loved home and that made it feel even more comfortable for my old school parents. We will save this cabin in our favorites and will definitely book again!

Needed a break from the world this was just why we needed.

Loved the cabin and it’s in a beautiful spot on the lake - gentle walk down to swim dock. The only “negative” is that the driveway isn’t boat & trailer friendly - we were able to park it at the top of the driveway and not be too much in the road. (We were there fishing.) Super quiet street.

We had a nice time.I will stay there next year for the high school fishing tuornament. The only thing parking the boat was challenge. But after the 1st day we got used to it

We recently had the pleasure of spending a week at this charming cabin on Smith Lake, cabin C. Our family of four, along with our furry companions, couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable retreat.
The cabin itself was rustic and cozy. We loved the back porch, which was the perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee and watch the sunset over the lake. The back porch was another favorite spot, where we spent many hours rocking in the chairs and sipping tea while watching the kids play in the yard and skip rocks on the lake.
It was close to town and our family that we were visiting for the holidays.

This cabin was the perfect size for my spouse and I. Very peaceful and cozy. We're probably going to rent again in the fall!

Overall this was a great property for the price. It offered all the amenities we expected.
Pros:
Easy walk to the dock compared to most places
Large dock
Well stocked kitchen
Working Internet
Cons:
Stove was filthy
Outdoor furniture was also filthy and unusable
Cobwebs all down the dock bridge
Beds were very firm
Ad says it sleeps 6.. not sure how unless an adult is expected to cram on a love seat.
We made it work and found it adequate for the price

We enjoyed our weekend so much. The cabin is easily accessible to the amenities of the lake!

This cabin was as described and perfect for our family!! The dock is wonderful it’s not a steep climb like so many places you see on Smith Lake. Everything worked and back porch with the lights at night was perfect. We had no problems, knowing which driveway it was due to the trash cans with the house number next to the driveway. Will definitely stay again!!

Great cabin right on the water! Storms everyday kept us out of the water some but we had a great time with family and friends. Hope to find time soon to go back!!

Great spot, relaxing location, with good view. Once we found it (no address # that we saw), it was just as described. Wish we hadn’t been so busy and could’ve sat in rocking chairs longer!
