Property is nice, but has pros and cons.
Pros:
Very clean. Fully stocked with everything you would need. Host is thoughtful, even a welcome gift! Creek running through property is beautiful. Plenty of birds, squirrels, and deer to watch. The separate bedrooms in guesthouse was a nice feature to give family members own space. Plenty of room to spread out. Firewood provided.
Cons:
Property needs a little maintenance/lanscaping work outdoors. Seems a bit overgrown, and too many "decorations". A major one that came as a big lady minute surprise and almost ruined our entire trip was that the Host does not want anyone at property that is not an overnight guest. I disclosed in my communication to the House before my booking was accepted that we would be having family meals together there, consisting of about 12 people, but only 6 would be overnight guests. I booked 10 months in advance. The week of my reservation, 1 week after the final payment request has been received and I made payment. I received a message from the Host letting me know there was suddenly an issue. There weren't going to be any parties, or events, just a family meal, consisting of most all members being over 50 years old, so not a rowdy bunch! We had to instead plan all of our meals out at restaurants, thus taking away the family time memories we wanted for my son's small wedding trip. Other than that, no air conditioning, as it can be a little stuffy at times, even the windows open and fans.

Nice family home with great outdoor space, easy access to local attractions, but in a nice small bedroom community.
Host was extremely helpful with lots of local contacts when we encountered some logistical issues with our family reunion in Woodland Park.
Would definitely return to property and recommend it to friends.

Our stay at “Creek Side at My Father’s House” was great. It is a wonderful property in a beautiful setting. Lots of room for our family to spread out and a lot to do in the immediate vicinity.

We truly enjoyed are stay at Dana’s beautiful home. With our youngest daughter just graduating we were so very blessed to have the chance to gather all of the kids and my brother-in-law and his wife for a great week of enjoying time together and taking in the beauty of Green Mountain Falls. The deer would visit us each day and add to our enjoyment. Thanks so much Dana!!

Creekside at My Father’s Cabin was the perfect place for our family vacation to the Colorado Springs area. Big enough for all family members to have their own space, but comfy and intimate enough for a family bonding trip. Dana’s location is just amazing - just minutes from Green Mountain Falls town center, and nearby trailheads for the amazing hiking all around GMF. I really appreciated the accessibility considerations in the bathrooms for my senior parents and Dana went the extra mile to research a list of nearby senior friendly activities for our 3 generation family trip. Dana is responsive, wonderful, and considerate - there was never a concern with any issue and her communication was fantastic. Cannot recommend this stay enough for those looking to spend the time in Colorado Springs - but tucked away in their own corner of mountain living heaven.

The property was charming. We enjoyed cooling down in creek every day after our hikes. Patio was lovely for relaxing.

We spent part of our large family vacation at a nice resort in Colorado Springs but we also wanted to spend a few days in a more remote spot in the mountains. This was the perfect location. Small town with a bar and a breakfast/lunch spot. Very quiet and close to hiking. But within 10 minutes of Starbucks, Walmart, etc so anything you need. And the creek running through the back yard near the patio was fantastic. Coffee along the creek every morning and drinks there in the evening. Perfect few days for our family. Dana was a fantastic host!

Each of our four family members had their choice of nicely decorated rooms. Well equipped for a larger group, the beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were like new. TVs in every room if we weren’t playing table tennis, relaxing on the hammock, or swinging. Pretty kitchen with new appliances. Plenty of creekside patio seating to watch deer roam by! Lovely, updated cottage perfectly located near trails, dining, the North Pole, and Pikes Peak.

Our stay at Creekside was absolutely a treat for our whole family. I loved that everything was so clean and that the kitchen was large and well-stocked for cooking and baking; my husband really enjoyed the location since it's just a couple of blocks from the main street of Green Mountain Falls and only a 20-minute drive to Colorado Springs, Garden of the gods, etc.Our teenage daughter loved her beautiful room and all the cozy spots around the house to read, while our teenage son spent hours outside each day, either along the creek in the backyard or playing basketball and ping pong :)We all enjoyed the location, near the base of Pike's Peak, because we had access to so many amazing hiking trails straight from the house. The waterfalls are beautiful!Dana was such a kind and thoughtful host who was available to answer our questions and made the house a delightful retreat for our family!

We LOVED our stay at this house! The location was excellent, off the beaten path, yet close to all the tourist places (Garden of the gods, Co. Springs, Pike’s Peak), walmart, restaurants! And for hikers, there are multiple trail heads within walking distance of the home.
The house was immaculate with all new appliances, all cooking utensils, spices and condiments. The home was totally updated while preserving many historical aspects . The bedrooms offered ample space, comfortable bedding with tv’s in every room. There was plenty of privacy with 2 bedrooms in separate building connected by a carport where we shared a drink on several evenings.
Outside was magical. It offered many seating options in the woodsy, private setting. A rambling creek through the property offered a sense of peace and tranquility. We loved sitting near the fireplace while listening to the little creek.
Dana thought of everything, including an awesome welcome gift! She responded quickly and professionally when i had a problem with one television.
If you are looking for a cozy, perfect location, look no further. This is the best of the best!

The host went out of her way to be sure our stay was amazing. The house was beyond clean and was stocked with everything we could need. The boys enjoyed the stream in the backyard, and the adults enjoyed sipping wine on the patio. It is a great location for a drive up Pikes Peak. If we are ever in the area again, this is where we will stay! Amazing family vacation!

The house was the perfect combination of vintage charm and modern conveniences. Very well stocked and Dana was very accommodating. We enjoyed relaxing by the stream, watching the deer from the porch in the rain, and hiking the nearby trails. Next time we hope to catch a Skyspace show. Green Mountain falls was busier than it has been in the past and we will plan our trip accordingly next time. Can't wait to go back.

We love the area and were lucky enough to find this property for a few days in June! The location and proximity to the GMF village and hiking trails can't be beat.
The home is charming, they did a great job of updating the kitchen and bathrooms, etc. while maintaining the charm of the home. 3 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms, plenty of space for us (two families)!
The hostess was fantastic, check in was easy and she left us an adorable Welcome gift!
We will definitely book this again next year!
