This would be the second time we've stayed here. Great location near the state park. The pool has been redone and is excellent. A great place to unplug and rejuvenate yourself.

The location is perfect!! Right next to the park, easy access to the lake, beautiful quiet neighborhood.
The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked (over 40 plates???) The pool was great, furniture comfortable and the beds were ok. The back deck and patio are PERFECT for morning coffee and afternoon hang outs.
One thing to note...Floors are VERY uneven. 1 inch lip into the kitchen that caused everyone to stumble at least once, many stubbed toes. Floors everywhere else uneven though having new vinyl floors which are in great repair.
Owner was super pleasant and responsive. All round lovely spot.

House was great. Two balconies were great! We saw deer fawns suckling their mom. We saw lots of deer, rabbits, and birds right off the decks! The lakeview was perfect and the pool was great! We really liked the location!

We had a wonderful time together at your property. Thank you for sharing your property at such a special time for us.
The house was beautiful just as pictured. We enjoyed the pool, fishing at the lake, as well as going for a hike in the state park. Everyone complemented how comfortable the beds were as well when we woke in the morning.
Check in and check-out were flowless. Thanks for a great weekend!

Our family gathered for a late Christmas celebration (26th through 29th).
The property was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, a lot of sleeping areas, an amazing game room and a balcony connecting two upstairs bedrooms that overlooked the lake.mUnfortunately, since it is mid-winter, we couldn't swim in the pool. .....maybe in the summer.
We had contacted the owners a few weeks before Christmas requesting that if they were decorating for Christmas, the leave the decorations up for us. They responded that nobody would be there for Christmas, hence no decoration, but they would try to make it a bit "festive" for us. They succeeded in a big way!, There
were beautiful decorations from the front door, throughout the common areas, including a tree! It really made our time feel so much like home and a "real Christmas".I can't say enough good things about the property and its managers.

This is large warm cozy home with a beautiful view of Claytor Lake. The home is convenient to I81 and nearby shopping and restaurants. The house has just about everything you need for a fun family getaway. Our younger folks really enjoyed the game room. There are a number of steps inside the home which maybe an issue for some folks.
The house exceeded our expectations! We would definitely recommend this property to anyone, and we would reserve it again ourselves for any future visits to the area.

About nine family members were able to come. Varied age groups but activities in the house for everyone. We also brought fun activities of our own. The weather was overcast most of the time, but our outdoor activities were just great. The house is beautiful and well setup. All had their own space when needed, as well as, plenty of room for all of us to hang out together. Highly recommend this beautiful home!

This is our second time here, and each time we live it more and more. My oldest went to school in Christiansburg and decided to stay. And your home is perfect for when we come down from Ohio to visit. Can't wait to see you all next year!

We arrived with 9 adults age 23 to 66 & 3 children age 3,5 &7. Entry was super easy. Lucinda our host was awesome at communicating. We all loved the pool it was a good size even for a little lap swimming. The view from anywhere in the back of the house is incredible. Access to the state park is awesome. Easy walk from trail right at the driveway. No charge if you don't park a car. Wonderful boat rental place at the park. We used a pontoon with water slides one day & another day we rented a pontoon with a diving board as well as a jet ski. What fun! We walked to TJ's restaurant for icecream several times. (Half mile at end of the lane) Did some shopping in Christiansburg. Had camp fires every night. Set up volleyball in the yard (that was a tight squeeze)

Our family loved the location…even though the weather was not on our side for this vacation, we still loved hanging out in the house and enjoying the view of the lake.

Our family stayed here to attend the graduation of our VT Hokie. Lucinda was a very gracious and accommodating host allowing us to use the pool even though it wasn’t fully opened. We had a bbq and also a firepit S’mores fest. Views are amaZing and the state park next door allowed us to take the kids fishing. Would definitely recommend!! House was clean and fully stocked and very kid friendly with all the games and arcade machines. Beds were also very comfortable. Don’t think twice if it’s available! Book it!!

This vacation home was booked for our annual pastors' retreat. The location was super, the view was peaceful, the surroundings were awesome and the house was appointed with everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, the various seating areas, both inside and outside, encouraged both individual as well as group time. Down the street, The Mason Jar, restaurant had some great food! We are planning to return in the future! We enjoyed the park, disc golf down the road and 10 minutes drive to Walmart. Great house!

Had so, so much fun at this beautiful home! Only issue was we had two 10-14 month olds with us and the step downs into several rooms made for a few tumbles, nothing serious and weebles wobble so all is well, just had to have eagle eyes on the toddlers at all times. Probably not good for handicapped persons. The host is super gracious and helpful and the game room was beyond wonderful for our grandkids! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

The property was very nice. As communicated to the owner the shower was slippery and non stick pads would be helpful.

This a great place to stay, whether you are a couple or a large family. Each room was clean and Lucinda was a great host. We were late arriving and she made sure to leave lights on for us for our arrival. That was incredibly thoughtful. The house is fantastic. Fully stocked and we found wood at the local store and had a great fire pit night. It’s very quiet and we both had the best sleep. The hiking trail is right in front of the driveway and beautiful views of the lake and surrounding waterways. Thanks Lucinda for responding to our questions and leaving the light on. Cant wait for our next trip back.

Quaint house overlooking the lake.
My group enjoyed every bit of our stay! We love Claytor Lake, and this was our first time staying at a property overlooking the lake. Everything in the house worked well, and it was clear that the owner has been making upgrades to the home over the recent past.
We would love to go back to enjoy more time at the lake!

Amazing house!!
We had our family vacation at this house and the setup was perfect for younger kids. We could put them to bed and head to the arcade room for some games and never had to worry about waking them up. The pool was AMAZING and the view was beautiful!! We spent almost every day out there at some point. Host was very attentive and helpful and house was very clean and well stocked! Will be staying there again!!

Excellent Family Vacation
We stayed for a week and enjoyed the quietness of the neighborhood. The state park is located next to the house -once we found the path, we enjoyed hiking/running the trails. A little tip - check your local library and see if they have state park passes that you can check out. This allows for free parking. My kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed nightly fire pit evenings. The beds were comfortable. Our host was, Lucinda, was kind and helpful when we had questions. Everyone, ages three to their late 60's, enjoyed their entire stay!

Great Property, nice location A++
We had a group of 10 older adults stay here. Had a wonderful stay! The house is updated very well. The kitchen is well stocked- had more than we needed. The two large family rooms, with two smart TV’s was great. Nicely appointed, many extras. We even tried out the arcade games. Plenty of bathrooms, sitting areas, table space for our large group.
The outside area in the rear was amazing. Nice view of the lake, beautiful sunrises. Great place to gather for good conversations.
Plenty of room inside and out. Lots of parking. Quiet neighborhood.
- We saw deer, varieties of birds, a mink, all while on the property, which we loved.
I can’t say enough good about Lucinda- we had a small problem early on, and she was very responsive and helpful.
-WE LOVED THIS PLACE. We came here to kayak the New River, and had so much fun. This property and this area of Virginia has spectacular beauty.
- We would love to come back again!!

Relaxing, comfy lake house
Four college friends & I decided to meet 1/2 way between our homes scattered from SC to PA to celebrate almost 50 years of friendship. We wanted a water view & the room & ambiance to enjoy our precious time together. This property really delivered on all fronts. There was good food at the Draper Merchantile closeby, historical places to visit surrounding the amazing story of Mary Ingles, easy hiking trails right next door in a state park, and for relaxing there were beautiful lake views, deer in the yard, and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Lucinda, the host, was friendly, readily available, and went the extra mile to make our visit easy & troublefree. I highly recommend this property & we hope to make this a yearly destination.
