We have stayed in homes all over the world - and even have our own Air b n b- and this is one of the best we’ve stayed in! The setting was magic, everything so clean and well stocked and so comfortable. We didn’t want to leave! Best place in Capitol Reef area for sure!

Great views wonderful place already planning on doing if again

My family stayed at Juniper House during our visit to Capitol Reef NP. When we arrived and entered the home we were quite impressed by the design and views afforded by the home. We quickly noticed, however that the house was not clean and that the home had mice. My wife spotted mouse droppings on one of the sofas she was about to sit on. Further droppings were found in the closets, and various places on the first floor. Since we saw droppings on the sofa we pulled off the cushions to take a look and found large amounts of food, hair and debris in all the sofas and mouse droppings in at least one. That of course made us take a closer look at the house and upon doing so we found that the floors were quite dirty under the chairs. It was quite apparent that the first floor rugs, upstairs carpet and especially the upstairs bathroom mat, that held the hair of possibly everyone who ever stayed at the unit, had likely not seen a vacuum or had been cleaned in some time. We contacted the owner and sent pictures of our findings and he sent someone over to put down glue boards and vacuum up the droppings we saw but everything else was left untouched and thus filthy. The owner advised that the local manager "just implemented a periodic deep clean to make sure all these hard to see areas get taken care of". But honestly, vacuuming out sofas and ensuring it is clean underneath them should be standard cleaning. The owner offered to cancel our stay and issue a refund however we booked this place many months ago and at the hour we arrived we were not able to find any available homes for our sized party even with VRBO assistance. We spent our days here hiking in the national park and our evenings cleaning up mice droppings and disposing of mice that were caught. For us most of the home remained unusable due to the filth and their attractiveness to mice. The issues we found at this home made it so that we could not get comfortable or relax after our hikes in the park.

Is perfect for visiting Capitol Reef. Amazing view and has everything you need. Highly recommend!

Very relaxing cabin with all of the amenities you need. Great location to explore Capital Reef. We loved staying there! The views are great and we even got to see a jack rabbit this morning!!

I was really looking forward to staying at the Juniper House and I was not disappointed. My mom, dad, sister and I stayed for three nights and loved our time here. The property is beautifully decorated, with absolutely stunning views from the balconies. It was freezing while we were visiting the area, so we enjoyed the views from inside by the gas fireplace. In addition to everything being perfectly decorated, this house is one of the most well stocked we have stayed in. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. We found ourselves making sure we had enough time to come back from the nearby Capitol Reef National Park to enjoy the house. I hope to be able to stay again!
