We loved this stay. It was close enough to get to things but a peaceful place to stay out of the way. We loved it.

Cheryl was attentive to our needs. Gave some great ideas for close in site seeing. No doubt we would stay here again

This cabin provided age-appropriate activities and lodging for family members ranging in age from one year to 90. The nearby hiking trail and playground were within walking distance. The creek (~6-12 inches deep) provided an endless source of entertainment and soothing background music. The smaller cabin provided the perfect place for our oldest family member to be on-site, yet under their own roof. Both cabins are beautifully furnished. Everyone felt safe and secure on the property. The hosts were nearby and helpful yet not hovering. All in all, each one of our party of six would return without hesitation!

Our first major vacation with just my husband and 7.5 y/o son. We were so happy we chose your place to get more of a mountain / cabin in the woods feel! Colorado Springs was just a short drive down the highway and the views to/from the cabin were beautiful. Honestly we spent half of our time around Manitou Springs area as well which was even closer!
We appreciated the snacks, coffee for Keurig, and the board games!
We visited the Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak via Cog Railway, Seven Falls, Royal Gorge. Enjoyed Red Leg Brewery, Ivywild School for Food and Drinks, Coffee at the Loft, Mini-golf at Adventure Park, and Amy’s Donuts.
Only my husband brought hiking shoes but I wish we would’ve bought some to hit up the Heizer Trail behind the cabin! We conquered the Highway 24 Overlook Trail which would’ve been easier with hiking shoes but we survived. My son and I borrowed one of the walking sticks on the side of the cabin.
The creek in front of the house was very relaxing as well! We 100% would stay here again.

This cozy cabin was one of the best VRBOs we have stayed at. The hosts were most gracious and came to meet us even in the rain. The cascade stream was amazing! I would definitely come back!! The welcome basket was so needed for the kids and they had everything there that we forgot! The guest house was also amazing and worked great for my 18 year old!

We were centrally located for everything we wanted to do. We really enjoyed the porch 😊

The cabin was very neat, clean and a quiet location. Easy access to highway with numerous attractions nearby.

5 minutes after checking in, I thought this might be one of the best VRBOs we had ever stayed in which is saying a lot because we’ve been pretty happy with most of our rental houses and condos. By the end of the trip, I was absolutely convinced that this was by far the best. The space was perfect for our family of five plus my brother. It was clean, adorably decorated, and the little touches like the basket of snacks and the cozy robes were so nice. We had everything we needed and more. It’s not a huge house but somehow it’s so well thought out that we had no problem finding spaces to put our things and feel really comfortable…no need to live out of the suitcase. The location is beautiful…sitting on the spacious front porch and watching the creek was so relaxing. You can walk to a restaurant which has wine tasting and also a really nifty “rock shop” that had fun little things for everyone. There’s also some great hiking that my husband and brother tried out, right from the cabin. We were just a few minutes drive from the Cog Railway and the North Pole amusement park. It was not too far from the amazing zoo in Colorado Springs too. The hosts live next door and they came over to welcome us…they were so incredibly nice and friendly and we loved talking with them. We have more things we would like to do in Colorado Springs in the future (that whole area has so much to offer) and I can totally see us coming back to stay at this cabin!

Fun enjoying attractions around Colorado Springs and then relaxing in the cabin at the end of the day. Great location by the creek. Hard not to relax on the front porch.

I wanted rhe grandkids to have an "authentic cabin in the mountains" experience and they got it. This cabin was very quaint and historic yet had all the modern ammenities we needed. And...the flowing creek out front was a special bonus!! The hosts made sure we had all that we needed...hoping to be back some day!

We were amazed with the cabin and guest house. Upon arrival we found a basket of snacks left for us. Other added bonuses were slippers and robes and sunscreen. The cabin was spotless and provided comfortable furnishings. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever had. The front porch was perfect for relaxing near the creek.
The owner greeted us after our arrival and was so friendly. She answered questions and gave suggestions for dinner.
The Creekside Cabin was a great location for attractions such as Cave of the Winds and Santa’s North Pole. It is nestled in the mountains and very tranquil.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return!

Was a wonderful place to relax with family. The park nearby was so nice for the kids to play. The cabin even had things to accommodate our baby. Everything we needed was here. Our favorite was the porch and just sitting and listening to the running water of the creek.

It was a magical, wonderful place and we look forward to staying there next year. Location was perfect and the house and cabin were absolutely the best!! Family loved it and my youngest proposed to his girlfriend at Manitou Incline that week. Thank you!!!

We’ll certainly be coming back and will be bringing more family and friends. The creek in front was peacefully perfect and the cabin accommodations were pleasant and plentiful. The generosity and kindness of Michael and Cheryl were above and beyond all other hosts I’ve stayed with. Highly recommend.

Clean and beautiful property! The hosts added nice touches to make us feel welcome. The creek in front of the cabin is lovely. The showers are a little snug, but we have no complaints. Would love to come back!

We have stayed at a number of similar type cabins over the years and this was one of the best. It is perfect for a larger group with the separate cottage included for extra room. The creek was very relaxing to sit by to read and visit.

Our family very much enjoyed our stay in this quaint and cozy cottage. We were able to spread out in different areas of the home and enjoy a little privacy also come together for meals and enjoy each other. We were all very comfortable and appreciated the extras and visit warming gift provided by the hosts who are wonderful.

In just a few words - wished we had made a longer reservation!
The property was charming and relaxing. This was our first VRBO booking and the experience was amazing. Cheryl was very helpful leading up to our stay and the photos don't illustrate how beautiful the location and accommodations are for anyone wanting to enjoy nature.
While there is no air conditioning, mother nature takes care of this with some open windows. It was amazing to wake in the morning to cool air passing thru the house. Just didn't want to get up!
Hezier Trail is a MUST. Only steps away from the property. Don't waste your time with Wines of Colorado - it may be good food but the service was deplorable. You are minutes of Manitou Springs or Old Colorado City - many options there. But my sole recommendation would be - bring your own food and stay in!
We will definitely be back soon!

Great creekside cabin!
We arrived an hour early to our cabin but the hosts were gracious enough to allow us to go ahead and check in as they had a moving truck that was moving items into their house next door. When we arrived it was mid to high nineties and we were worried that we would be so hot without AC in the cabins but we were pleasantly surprised to see how comfortable we all were with fans throughout the cabins and at night, we even got chilly. The character of the cabins are very unique and there is a ton of room to allow enough space for a family of 4 with teens. Our son liked to stay in the guest house for even more privacy and it was perfect. One area of the cabin was locked and under construction but I would say that even more guests would be comfortable once that is area is done. There is a very cool and difficult trail behind the house that kept us occupied and a wonderful creekside diner at the bottom of the hill that you could walk to. We also thoroughly enjoyed hanging out and reading or enjoying beverages on the front porch and back porch. Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak are very close!!! The only improvements I would recommend are adding a dish washer and shower on the bottom floor. The bear claw tub is very cute to look at but not the best for bathing and the shower upstairs was a little cramped for my husband. The hosts were very kind and accommodating and I would highly recommend this place!!!

You will not be disappointed!!!
Amazing location. We loved falling asleep and waking up in the mornings with the sound of the creek. We had a blast doing half of the Heizer trail behind the cabin. The cabin and guest house are adorable, super clean and the perfect size for the 6 of us. Hosts were so helpful and welcoming. Make sure to check out the rock shop within walking distance. We will for sure come again!

We loved this property so much. The setting is so peaceful, and it's easy to get to all the activities you're looking to experience. There is plenty of room, and I'm jealous of the internet speed (I was reluctantly able to get a little work done while staying). Even our 15 and 18 year old boys were impressed (and it's hard to get any compliments out of them). We are already making plans for a return trip in the spring, and bringing some friends along too. Cheryl and Michael are great, and are available for any questions you might have. So don't hesitate to book this property (just leave some dates for the rest of us)!

Mom + 2 teenage kids rented this SUPER clean and perfect-in-every-way cottage for 4 nights while exploring Co Springs area. We loved the central location... 8 mins from Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs. It was so nice coming home to quiet and woodsy! We hike the footpath out the back - amazing views!
Cheryl and Mike provided all of the small amenities of a 5-star hotel like bathrobes, slippers, black make-up wash cloths, a snack basket, travel size shampoo/conditioner/lotion etc.. and a full kitchen for cooking, grill, solid rocking chairs on the front porch, super comfy queen size pullout couch in living room. You will not be disappointed with this rental!!

A cozy cabin with a small creek running next to it. Owners were easy to work with, cabin was great for our family of 5. An additional guest house if you have more people. Very close to several Pikes Peak area attractions. First time vrbo and would definitely do it again based on this experience.
