The property was perfect for our family to stay for LU’s graduation weekend. The hosts were accessible and responsive. They were accommodating when I messed up the reservation and got that straightened out with no hassle. The home is beautiful and spotless. Loved it.

House was just right for our needs. Well equipped. Large kitchen. Shower is inside the clawfoot tub, with plenty of pressure and hot water.

We loved the character and charm of this old home. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was completely updated. We loved the church bells and train too. Lots of character in Buena Vista! The bathtub/shower situation was the only negative and for anyone over 5'5'' and 110 lbs will find it almost impossible.

This is a classic vintage home in a quiet neighborhood. It has plenty of space to accommodate our group of seven adults. As pictures show, the woodwork is beautiful. I would love to have seen it in it’s prime filled with antiques and the large family it was probably built for. Our group was attending the Buena Vista Fiddlers Convention and it was just what we needed; a place to get away, rest comfortably, share meals and make memories.

We were in Lexington for a wedding. The house was perfectly located for both the downtown dinner rehearsal and the farm wedding venue. The house was easily accessible from roadside parking. The house was lovely but a bit creaky... no sneaking around in this house! The one bathroom/shower was a bit challenging but fine for 6-8 adults with some shower planning for two nights. Took a long time to get the access code to the house which made coordinating with all out of town family difficult.

The house had ample room for the three of us, nicer than staying in a hotel. It was close and easy to Lexington for our activities.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, special home. It is very comfortable from the furniture and beds to the high ceilings and plenty of room to spread out. The bathrooms are a challenge especially since we had aged parents with us and the only shower was a very tall, claw-foot tub. Charming, but not practical for people with mobility challenges. The house is set on a huge lot, with a beautiful porch we enjoyed sitting on. We loved the neighborhood in such a nice town with lots of public art and parks. We enjoyed the nearby restaurants and exploring the town. The hosts were easy to work with and responsive. We would stay here again with a younger crowd. Thanks for opening this special house to us.

Lovely experience. While I prefer Unscented detergent, everything else was perfect.

We have never stayed at a house like this. Definitely an experience with so much character and well maintained features. We had a little hiccup at check in but Nathan and his cleaning team were able to help us and solve the issue within the hour. Definitely would recommend staying here.

The house was clean and very spacious. If you love older homes, you will love it. All the quirks and charms of an older home, but the kitchen was full of modern appliances and a new counter and everything that needed to be updated was. It had a Keurig with a refillable coffee cup (an update from a previous review). It is right in town, so you will hear church bells from across the street, etc.

This house was really fun to stay in! It was perfect for our group of 6. It was roomy and spacious and we loved the porch out front! It was clean and well kept. The listing does say 2 showers and there is only 1. That worked out ok but would have been nice to have the 2. Overall would highly recommend especially if you are visiting kids that go to SVU. Great location!

This property was ideal for our purpose: close to mountains for hiking. Its in a small town with limited resoures but Lexington is only a few miles away.

2 couples stayed at this grand and elegant home. Very clean. Nice comfortable beds. Big, comfortable home - plenty of room to spread out. Very old home with high ceilings and amazing woodwork. Lovely hardwood floors. Claw foot bathtub. Nathan, the owner, was very responsive and cordial. We loved the home and the location. Planning to go back next year.

Beds were comfortable. Towels were thin, not enough for the # of people staying and smelled like pee. Out of liquid soap in the bathroom. Black sheets in one bedroom- very unappealing. Shower didn’t drain great. Kitchen was fine. Could use some basic tea/coffee like some B+B’s. but that’s the hosts choice. Ok for one night but would probably not stay again.

Buena Vista Farmhouse
The home was beautiful. Clean and inviting. Stunning woodwork and floors! We truly enjoyed our stay as we normally stay in individual hotel rooms and have no place to gather. Lovely seating areas, dining room and kitchen all made for great gathering places. With 4 adults, we each had our own separate space and were never crowded. Quiet neighborhood, cute town. Would stay there again.
