Everything about this place was bad.
There was noone to greet us upon checkin. Noone.
We couldnt find the place. We drove arouns the resort for 10 minutes before we found our cabin, noone to ask, noone to help us.
There was ZETO staff there.
Once we found the cabin it was so dirty... it was trash. The porch was covered in debri, chops paijt and mold from never being swept and being in the trees... the debri lept tracking inside the cabin where WE were forced to clean it.
NOTHING WAS ACCURATE about the listing.. it said it had a POOL... OUR SELLING POINT... the pool was dismantled, in pieces, and looked like there was no way it would be in working order THIS YEAR let alone our stay, with no mention of it. We drove 2.5hrs one way to get there and all I wanted was that pool. It ruined my birthday treat to myself. Then it listed fireplace, which was in the unit but with a sign saying out of order! Unbelievable! The grill cover was in pieces, so were the screens in the windows. Nearly every blind in the place didnt have a wand to turn them and they didnt stay up. I could go on and on.
We asked for our money bacK SEVERAL TIMES and they just told us there was nothing they could do.
WORST TRIP OF MY LIFE.
We would like refunded.

We love the place so much that we are planning to stay again at the same resort. We had a little minor set back with our vechicle so we stayed at the resort most of the time. We were able to cook at the cabin with all the utensils that we needed plus a grill. There are two ponds that we took our kids to go fishing and they loved that! Plus the mini golfing was a plus for them. We want to come when the pool is open so they can go swimming.

Cozy property to recovery from a minimal surgery. Nice fireplace, clean property, and just the right amount of space to chill.

We booked this Pedestal Cabin specifically for the purpose of Skiing and being away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts and in-town lodging, but still close enough that getting to the slopes was only about a 10–15-minute ride. We also wanted a full kitchen to make great comfort food, soups, stew, and desserts. Lastly, we wanted a place that was a bit more secluded and allowed dogs.
We mainly come to Canaan Valley to Ski. Canaan Valley’s unusual attributes make the area DEPENDABLE for great ski conditions. Google "Frost Bowl.” Both of the area reports are great for those that like a challenge and those skiing with children. Timberline Mountain has had a significant amount of capital investment in recent years and boasts the longest green trail in the Mid-Atlantic.
Search for "things to do in Canaan Valley" and you will quickly find that this is truly a Four-Seasons Destination.
Getting there has become much easier than it once was. Upgrades to Highway 48 (also called Corridor H) have cut times out of DC from 5 to 3 1/2 hours.
This is very cozy for a full house. The mudroom was a very welcome feature for getting in and going out into the cold. The Beds were great, not a single complaint about sleeping arrangements.
We love Canaan Valley and this place was no exception!. Based upon what this experience, we are already excited to come back again!

Beautiful property, easy to get to and wonderful communication with manager. So much to do in the area within walking and driving distance. 10/10 for everything! We cannot wait to go again!
Everything was very clean, neat, and even had products for us to use in the bathroom and kitchen areas!

Cabin was clean and nice. A little tight for 4 adults and 1 teenager, but very doable. Setting is very nice.

Clean property and clean cabin. Easy access to nearby towns for hiking or site seeing. Everything you need in the cabin to prepare meals. We went in a bit of an off season so some restaurants open later in the day.

The cabin was super cute! It was in the perfect location about 10 minutes away from Davis and 15 minutes from Thomas with plenty of hiking nearby to keep us busy. If you are skiing/ hiking in the area this is the perfect location!
Highly recommend Farm Up Table for dinner, it did not disappoint and Tip Top is a must stop for coffee and pastry lovers.

Me & a friend of mine took our kids for a short getaway to go spend some time outdoors & see the views on the mountains during the fall. It rained for most of the trip but, we still walked miles of trails, hit the little shops in town & drove around looking @ the views. We will definitely come back again maybe in spring or early September so it’s a tad warmer. Overall we had a nice time just hanging out & not rushing around.

Cabin was great place for the weekend. Nice neighborhood, clean. Would recommend and would rent again. While not a big deal, and reviews did note it, I would remove fireplace as an amenity in the listing. There is not one. Still a very nice place .

Nice location, pretty spot. Counter space a little challenging, propane in the grill a big plus. Fire place boarded over and replaced with TV and stereo stand - no explanation but no big deal either. Great location to visit parks and small towns in the area. Oh, most restaurants in David were closed Mon-Wed which is why the grill was such a big plus. Very relaxing

Overall very happy with the cabin and our stay. The only negative was there was not a fireplace in the cabin as advertised. Which in our situation did not bother us but had it been winter time we might have wanted to use it. All and all very happy and we will be returning in the future!!!

It was nice n cozy. Just what our family needed to unwind. The beds were comfy and it was nice to have a place to cook a family dinner.

Very nice stay! Hope to have a fireplace for the next visit but the weather turned out to be beautiful. VERY CLEAN and all the comforts of home.

We checked in with no problem. We arrived earlier than anticipated and Cameron got us in very quickly. An unforeseen event happened and again Cameron work with us expeditiously to move us to a new location. We will be going vacationing there again and will use this VRBO.

Beautiful scenery and comfortable bed but nothing was clean including the linens.

Overall this property is a nice little cabin to stay at. Check-in/checkout was very easy and communication was good. The cleanliness in the kitchen could use a little improvement. Due to a leak, we did not have a dishwasher and this was not communicated to us, but overall it was nice. A beautiful area and close to local amenities.

Overall we really enjoyed staying there, I messaged the owner with few minor problems and it was good. Really thought we should have got the the cleaning fee returned. It was our first experience with vrbo will definitely go again....probably same cabin.

This house was so cute! Perfect size for our family of 4 for 3 days. I was a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. Ex. Cob webs, dog hair, dirty utensils in drawer, place mats and bathroom rugs and towels still in the dryer from previous stay. Multiple light bulbs were out so it made the house very dark. Other than these small things it was really good. Close to play ground, deer in front yard each evening, convenient washer and dryer in the house.

House was very clean and neat. Only issue was with it's size. It was considerably smaller than I anticipated. And with one bathroom it was just large enough for the three of us to have room. Thankfully the weather was nice while we were there so we didn't spend much time inside. Although there is room to sleep up to 6 people you had better be close friends and get along impeccably, because space is at a premium. Other than that it was a very nice property with a wonderful view from the deck. Actually a perfect get away place for a couple, or for us as we were three adults.

Had a great time. So did our dog!

It was easy to check find and check in. It was a cozy home away from home. Thank you.
