We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the house was stocked better than any of the numerous rentals we’ve stayed in. The location was very quiet yet we were able to walk to Mallards and throughout the quaint downtown.

The Parsonage is a home with character. The property was clean and well appointed. We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed being around the corner from Mallards which we’ve been to many times over the years. Short walk into town. I will rent again!

We are repeat visitors to this property for the last couple of years. It is in a great location on Virginia's Eastern Shore, in with convenient access to groceries, banks, restaurants, and even the local hospital. It is also perfect if you will be visiting both points north like Chincoteague and south like Cape Charles. We love it, even just walking around downtown Onancock and the surrounding neighborhoods is just lovely. The house is beautiful and comfortable and has everything you could want for a great shore getaway. We loved sitting in the gorgeous sunroom and the porch is great too. There is a new coffee shop around the corner from the house that we visited so much, we filled our free drink punch card! The owners and staff there are so sweet as well. So much to love about this area and we always look forward to coming back. Thank you to the Smiths!

Our stay was wonderful! We had everything we needed for our stay. We had no issues. The place was tastefully decorated. Would love to come back for another stay in the future.

We loved the house which had everything we needed, excellent AC, comfortable spaces for our family of 4, and super clean! The town has quiet tree-lined streets, an idyllic marina, and is surrounded by scenic inlets of the Chesapeake Bay where we saw many Great Blue Heron and Egrits. Good restaurants, art galleries, and antique shops are close by. It was our first trip to ESVA. The only issue we had with the location was that public access to beaches involved 30-40 minute drives down to Cape Charles or up to Assateague. But that also gave us a reason to explore a bit more than we would have otherwise. We'd love to return to this house and the town as it is perfect for any city folks in search of a quiet, relaxing getaway.

Great Home and location for walking everywhere in town. Loved all the historic detail in the home. With three living room areas, everyone can be together or separate if they want.

Beautiful home and ground with lovely antiques and design, spacious accommodation to spread out for privacy, superb comfort in beds and furnishings, extra little touches and supplies and very accommodating and approachable owners.
Great timing at local dockside restaurant, had a blast on 2 hr paddle boarding rental adventure. Less than an hour to chincoteague boat cruise to view dolphins and wild horses of assateague- both fantastic views before heading home northbound.
Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Great area for a getaway. You can walk to everything. Mallards restaurant is a 2 minute walk from the house. Great food. The gps does not show the house accurately make sure you type in the address. Their is a public parking space across the street where you can park a boat. Would definitely stay again.

Where's the broom!
So sorry we did not do a very good job sweeping the floor. No Broomy, no sweepy.
Wednesday and Thursday, part of Friday, the wind was blowing so hard, we had not reliable
TV. Suggestion would be a little back yard furniture and fire pit.

Loved it!
This home is lovely and located close to everything in Onancock. Linens and towels plentiful, kitchen stocked with the basic staples and then some.
Location great for easy day trips south to Cape Charles, and North to Chinocotegue. The ferry to Tangier Island, the marina, and kayak rentals just a minute walk away.

O’nancock Parade
We were thoroughly impressed with the 7th Annual O’nancock St. Patty’s Day parade! This house is in such a great location. We were able to walk to the block party and enjoy the music at Mallards from the front porch. The house had everything that we needed and plenty of room. We enjoyed reading about the history of the house too!

October Stay at the Parsonage on King
We enjoyed staying at the Parsonage. The location was within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The house was clean and spacious. We enjoyed having coffee on the front porch and sitting out back in the fenced in yard with our dogs was perfect. The Kitchen had everything we needed and the Owner included gas for the Grill. Nothing but good things to say about this property and the Owner.

A Bit of Old Onancock
Great location and a great house! We really enjoyed our stay, but beware, T-Mobile/Sprint coverage is a mess all over town.

Beautiful, Well-Stocked, and Quiet
Highly recommend this property. Picturesque and perfectly clean. They've thought of everything so you just have to unpack for a relaxing, quiet getaway. Probably the most well-stocked house I've stayed in (how many other houses come with a coffee grinder and stash of beans?) Owners were quick to respond and provided a binder with useful information about the property, town, and attractions.

Perfect Family Reunion
The Parsonage was there perfect venue for our family reunion to celebrate our mother’s 94th birthday. The house is beautiful, and the location is ideal, in the heart of town with the water across the street. The Parsonage housed 6 adults very comfortably. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well appointed with dishes and utensils to accommodate a larger group. Multiple areas to sit in small groups or hang out in the kitchen and sunroom for family gatherings. The front porch has plenty of seating to enjoy a cocktail in the afternoon. We will definitely return next year!

The Parsonage
House was great. Plenty of room and was well furnished. Enjoyed the front porch, friendly neighbors. The view from front porch was a bit disappointing, looked onto fenced in parking lot. But, would stay there again if needed to be in the area. Easy walk to restaurants and shops.

Another wonderful stay
We just returned from our 2nd stay for the summer. The house has changed owners and everything great about the house remains the same. The new owners are friendly and very responsive. This location is so great for staying on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Nearby shopping, medical facilities, and points of interest north and south not too far from Onancock make it so easy to have access to everything you need to have a nice stay. We’ll definitely be back next year.

The Parsonage was such a wonderful home! While historic and super quaint, it was comfortable and well stocked with everything our family needed. We loved seeing the photos of the complete renovation which spanned a decade. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again!
