Location, location, location! It just doesn’t get any better than three stories of oceanfront decks in north ocean city. We loved being able to run up to the house for drinks or a bathroom break while on the beach. Twice a week, there’s drop-in yoga on the beach right in front of the house. Everything we needed was provided including 20 hammers and crackers for our annual crab feast. Thank you!

Arrived and checked in, got to the unit and it was filthy- stair carpet very dirty, crumbs on floor in kitchen and LR, dusty all over. The dishwasher had dirty dishes, food caked on; looks like an attempt was made to run it because a tablet was in there but it did not happen. In the kitchen drawers, a lot of debris and crumbs with 'clean-ish' dishes. Stove handle held on with duct tape. Huge safety hazard - under kitchen sink, cleaning supplies and a block of knives at floor level. Only a few hand towels and 3 bath towels in the entire unit for 7 people. Checked the beds and 2 king beds had fitted sheet only. Doors on closets in BR's were not on their tracks and filled with owner belonging so we couldn't hang things if we wanted. Other safety hazards included nails sticking out of walls in MBR where I got caught and tore my shirt, at the level a child could get injured. Bare wires that may not have been dangerous from old systems but not sure. Light switch without a switch on one side and a hold a finger could easily go in. Missing lightbulbs from all bathrooms. Ceiling fan in kit very loose and wobbly, husband tightened it because it was scary. Under bathroom kitchen sinks, packed with owner items so no room for our things. Entire unit smelled like mold causing me to need my asthma meds constantly. Showers are awful, like a water hose that is clogged. Experience with Vacasa: called as soon as we saw the condition; Scott told us someone would clean immediately and bring linens so we could make the beds. Linens were delivered within the hour so we went to dinner and were gone 3 hours but returned to an uncleaned unit. Called and went through 3 customer service reps until the 3rd one called the GM while I was on hold to address issues. They sent someone to clean the next morning at 8 am which was not when most of the party wanted up but we wanted it cleaned. We made our own beds and used clorox wipes from our car to do minimal cleaning. I sent email to Scott with photos showing all the issues but each rep I spoke with said 'you need to send pictures......' I did! I sent at least 3 emails with pictures. The next morning I went to the Vacasa office and the GM was there to apologize; they provided one night free right away and we negotiated staying one more night; in reality, I told her we were not going to stay the last night but wanted flexibility to leave later in the day. Great location, terrible, not relaxing place or stay. Want to send pics!
