Every year we plan a Thanksgiving Trip in the Smoky Mountain area, and this was by far our favorite rental property. The home was clean, well stocked, and the view of the mountains were incredible! The drive up wasn’t as difficult as we originally thought, it’s well paved and easy to follow just take your time. We will definitely be renting this property again!

We came to Maggie Valley for a wedding. Saturday morning we stopped having water. I called between 9:30-10 to let someone know because we would need to shower and use the restroom before the wedding at 3. Never heard from anyone until Saturday night at 9:30 and they were going to move us the night before check out. Half of us were asleep already. We had been to this cottage before and loved it so we asked or friends to come with us and I was so embarrassed to say the least. There weren’t able to shower for this wedding or even go to the restroom. I would like a refund. Because I am giving them back their part of the rental. I have still not heard from anyone yet to remedy the situation.

Very comfortable home, had everything we needed and more. Know that there are steep, winding, narrow roads to drive up to this pretty mountain-top retreat.

Beautiful, peaceful location. Enjoyed the full size washer and dryer as well :)
The second bathroom is inside one of the downstairs guest bedroom - this has to be shared with the third guest room.

Description of road leading to cabin is accurate. View is great! There was no grill. Called and was told one would be delivered next day. No grill ever showed up. If you plan to grill your meals select another place.

An amazing home for sure! Well decorated and stocked with everything you need.
Allow yourself enough time to go up and down mountain, IT IS WORTH THE TRIP EVERY TIME. So much wildlife, mountain fresh air and more. We went hiking with Llamas about 40 minutes away! Separate trips to waterfalls, great dining and more.
Only downfall Id say, is working with a management (which didnt seem local) and not the actual owner themselves. I had been emailed opportunity to stay additional night at discounted price, when I called was told that expired. The home wasnt rented for another 4 days.... I had been emailed that I could pay for a late checkout, the following day I called and that too had expired. My daughters flight didnt leave until 6pm, so I had to pay for an additional evening, in order to have a late checkout. :-( I am a premiere host of rental property myself in FL, and I bend over backwards to make each guest fell welcomed. I would have handled it much differently

I would highly recommend this rental. Spectacular views. Must have a four wheel drive for sure in the winter. A little scary drive up the mountain, especially in the fog. BUT WELL WORTH IT!

House was nice but customer service not so great
The house itself was nice. Felt clean aside from the oven. The inside of the oven didn't look like it had been cleaned in a VERY long time. We couldn't even use it due to it smoking while it was pre heating and kept setting off the smoke alarm and stinking the house up. I tried sending an email to Vacasa about this and no one ever responded... The water pressure was AWFUL as well. The view was nice but getting to the house and wanting to go anywhere was kind of a pain. Took about 10 minutes to get to the end of the road the house is tucked back on. Which wouldn't be a huge deal but all the curves and obviously going downhill and uphill gets old after a couple of days. Aside from the house itself I highly recommend not wasting your money on the trip insurance as it is useless. I got very sick on our drive down and we had to stay in a hotel room for the night about 3.5 hours out from the house. This was a trip delay due to sickness, which it states is covered. Red Sky will only cover any costs if I had an attending physicians statement. How the heck does one get that at 8:30 at night?! Apparently the hotel receipt wasn't enough proof. So we were out the cost of the first night of the house, insurance cost and then the cost of the hotel. I also tried reaching out to Vacasa and they didn't care, they got their money. Overall I will not rent another property again through Vacasa.
