Great location in central Hills for our interests. Stocked with very basic needs but good options for shopping if needed.

Property was as advertised and very accommodating. Size was perfect for our family of 4. Location was perfectly located in the center of all the family attractions in the area. Also, very close to all the Hill City attractions. Would highly recommend and would stay again if/when we return. Thanks for a great stay.

This property was very nice, very clean and so cute. Plenty of room as well. Fantastic communication with the owner. We will be back, would recommend this property!

This was the perfect location for our trip to South Dakota. We went all the way out to the Badlands, to Jewel Cave, Custer State Park, and, of course, the obvious Mount Rushmore. We also went up to Sturgis and Deadwood, and this was a great centerpoint to keep coming back to at the end of each day.
The house is charming and comfortable. The two queen size beds were extremely comfortable. Glynda is an amazing host. Super suggestive, extremely communicative, and very kind.
The four of us decided 1000% we would stay in this house again. 👍

Excellent property. Could have extra towel racks in each bathroom, full length mirror and a longer curtain in the far bathroom. It was very quiet and we enjoyed the deck. The main living area was very roomy and great for a small group to get together. Location was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is great! We were able to get to everywhere we needed when we needed to. It was cozy and homey and the owner was great to work with. We made a change in our schedule and she was very accommodating. The beds were excellent and the chairs in the living room and family room were comfortable. A few of the lights were hanging a bit low for our two taller people but we made do. The kitchen was well stocked and had plenty of containers for storing extra food. Thanks for everything.

We stayed for 6 nights while riding motorcycles around the Black Hills! This home is so close to downtown Hill City yet had privacy and deer cross almost daily through the yard! We could walk downtown and took the 1880 train to Keystone which is walkable from the home as well! Super location, home is extremely clean and well kept! Great communication with our host, Glynda! Thank you for an awesome stay Glynda! We definitely recommend this home!

Very clean, loved the kitchen and the deck! Was fun listening for the 1880 train whistles each day! Beds were comfy and it was nice having a washer/dryer since we stayed almost two weeks. Would absolutely stay there again.

We had a great week at this rental! Glynda was so easy to communicate with, and was very accommodating of all of our needs. We had no issues before or during our stay. This property is not a quiet quiet Black Hills escape at all, as there is a lot of noise from town and the train. However, if you have kids, it’s a great spot to watch the train! It is right uphill from where the engine stops and disconnects from the train, and we watched it every chance we could. It was a highlight of our vacation! We would definitely consider staying here again!

The house was very clean! We had ample supplies for cooking, bathing, and relaxing. We loved the deck with table, chairs and lounge chairs. I wished the master bedroom and bath had better doors. Also the futon was not comfortable, but we appreciated the air mattress provided, which we used instead.

We are a family of 6 and we fit comfortably! The house was very cute, well kept, and extremely clean. It was a great center location for all the things we explored in the Black Hills. Definitely recommend if your looking for a central location and great place to stay!

We loved this cute little house for our stay in the Black Hills! The home was clean and had plenty of space for four of us. The owner had great communication and responded very quickly to any questions we had. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here!

Beautiful natural light in main area, clean, super soft comfortable sheets, wonderful deck outside.
The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars on communication with property manager was because I had sent a message with a quick question prior to stay and, to my knowledge, never received a reply. We were looking forward to grilling out every night but the grill was in desperate need of a good cleaning and there were some grates that were burnt through.
The view of this sweet little town is beautiful and the deck is larger than the listing picture shows. The kitchen was wonderful, the entertainment/tvs were easy to use and had many things to choose from which we appreciated after a long day out being able to put a disney show on for kids while we made supper. Overall I would love to stay again.

Charming property in Hill City in a great location to be able to walk to town and explore the Black Hills. The bedrooms are a little small, but the spacious living areas and well equipped kitchen have everything you need.
5.0
Convenient location, well equipped kitchen, good communication with owner. The home could use more lightjng, specifically floor lamps beside sofa and beds. Small bedroom could benefit from shelving and better storage of clothing and travel gear. The attached small bathroom needs storage space for toiletries, as the large sink takes most of the on the vanity top.

We stayed here for one week. It was a great pleasure meeting both Jess and Glynda. Very nice couple.
The reason we only gave 5 stars because that's the maximum! Wish we could give this place 10 stars!
Very spacious, clean, beautiful, and QUIET! Everything was perfect! Very easy access to all attractions! Love people in South Dakota!!! Very nice, kind, and considerate!
Planning a return! Jess and Glynda, thank you very much for sharing your beautiful place with us.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Great central location to many things to do in the Black Hills. Located close to downtown Hill City- be prepared to walk without a sidewalk and fairly steep incline (if you have knee problems). The house was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Especially appreciated generous storage for our hanging clothes and drawers. Nice to have two bathrooms- both showers worked great. The deck is even larger than the photos with an additional seating area with comfy lounging chairs. Communication with Glynda was easy- however we never had to contact her because our stay went so smoothly!

What a great property. Walking distance to the grocery store, restaurants and shopping and the Mickelson trail. The property was as advertised. Slept 3 adults easily and had 2 fully stocked and clean and functional bathroom with shower. The living room had a great couch and TV setup. The deck was awesome with a grill and chairs to relax after long days of hiking and enjoy the sunsets. Would highly recommend this place. Glynda was great as the owner. Easy to communicate with.

The home was exactly as represented. The location is superb for our objective, which was to bike ride segments of the Mickelson Trail. Hill City is in the middle of the trail, an d staying in this home made access to the trail convenient. The furnishings are comfortable, access to Hill City is easy and quick and the kitchen is well equipped.

Private yet close to so much
We were In town for a destination wedding at a nearby winery. Loved being just above the town. Private, clean and restful but easy to walk into downtown and shop or eat. Close to Mt. Rushmore and many of the wonderful lakes in the area as well. My family loved playing with the games in the closet. The deer in the back yard were fun to see. You do need to walk through the bonus room to get to 2nd bathroom but we loved the multiple sitting areas and the huge deck along the entire back of the house. Would definitely recommend this place.

Had everything we needed and perfect for family of 6! Beautiful outlook to Hill City!

Excellent rental. This house has had a lot of love put into it. Lots of antique and modern touches. Just a short walk away from the local Hill City attractions; the 1880 train is literally in the back yard. Google maps did take us to the wrong location, but owner gave great directions and we found it. Will definitely remember this rental for our next Hill City visit!
