About this house rental
Northwest Michigan voted one of CNN Travel's The best places to visit for 2024!!
Welcome to our little blue cottage on a big blue lake. This charming, boho chic cottage sits on Arbutus Lake, less than 15 minutes to downtown Traverse City. With 100 feet of private beachfront, enjoy a tranquil kayak or canoe ride, row boat or stand up paddle board on this serene lake. House is fully equipped for your group whether you would like a great summer beach getaway or to enjoy wine country during the amazing fall colors or some skiing and ice fishing during the winter months. It is the perfect up north getaway!
This is a three bedroom/one bathroom lake front cottage with private beach. Main level has family room, kitchen and dining area with additional seating on outdoor front covered patio for keeping an eye on the kids at the beach or just taking in the picturesque beauty of the lake in front. Second floor has three bedrooms, one bathroom, office, three season room with full lake views and adjoining outdoor dining area. Outdoor security camera at entrance for safety, video only. No pets, no smoking and no events please. Thank you.
There is a neighborhood street between the house and the lake but it is very low traffic. It's just there for the cottages on the street to connect to the main road. Also please note there is no dishwasher and this is an older cottage so the bedrooms have dressers and hanging wall hooks but do not have closets.
High speed internet.
Close to horse show by the bay.

We had a great stay at Little Blue on Arbutus Lake. Cottage was clean, great decor and very well stocked. Owners were very responsive and helpful. It’s a beautiful lake and we loved sandy beach with all of the beach toys, boats and paddle board.

My family and I had a wonderful stay together for a week in August. House is decorated very nicely and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The fridge is a little smaller than the average home but we made it work with no problems. The road in between the beach and the cottage did have some car traffic throughout the day but drivers were attentive and drove slowly so we were not too concerned with our kids going back and forth. The lake itself was absolutely perfect, clean, quiet (this section of arbutus had very little boat traffic and was no wake) with very friendly neighbors. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to all.

Great cabin on Lake Arbutus. We had a wonderful time exploring the area and enjoying everything ‘Little Blue’ had to offer. The cabin is tastefully decorated with a ‘homey’ feel. The kitchen is very well equipped. We appreciated the nice dishes and serving pieces. We really liked having both coffee makers. We also appreciated that common spices/condiments were stocked; we added to the collection. The ‘Welcome’ card and bottle of wine were a nice touch. The beds were comfortable, and it was nice to be able to do laundry and go home with suitcases full of clean clothes. The kayaks and paddleboard were a hit and used every day. Thank you for supplying wood for our nightly fires. We spent a lot of time on the front porch watching the kids fish with the fishing rods that were in the deck box.
We spent time in Traverse City and Glen Arbor which were just a short drive from the cabin.
Our hosts Enrico and Reham were amazing and very responsive. They answered lots of questions we had about the area and provided suggestions on things to do and places to go.
We would definitely stay here again.

This was a super cozy, charming, little cottage right on the lake. It was perfect for the 7 of us. It’s decorated super cute with a fully stocked kitchen and very clean. It’s so great because almost every room of the house has an amazing view of the lake. The three season room on the upper level was a perfect additional space to relax and soak in the view of the sunset on the lake in the evenings. The beach had a firepit and all kinds of lake toys for use (paddle board, canoe and row boat) but it was too chilly for us to go in the water. The hosts Reeham and Enrico were great and very responsive. Anything we inquired about they responded right away. They even left a welcome gift for us which was so thoughtful. The cottage is a close and easy drive to downtown Traverse City and everything in the area, the wineries, trails, etc. We even took a day trip to the Sleeping Bear Dunes which was only about 45 minutes away. I would highly recommend this rental and we will definitely be back in the summer when we can take full advantage of the lake. Thanks for such a great stay!
