The property is just as it looks. It is peaceful, relaxing and serene. It’s very private. There are neighbors but you are separated by tree line and honestly never see or hear them. The sitting area that over looks the beach is amazing. We loved sitting out there with a glass of wine, taking in the breeze and relaxing. The property is very clean, and the beds are so comfortable! We didn’t have any complaints. Only thing I suggest is making sure you bring all of your bath supplies. (Soap, shampoo, etc.) there were none complimentary available. I always bring my own, but I know some people depend on the idea that there maybe some available.

We really enjoyed staying at this place. The place was well stocked with linens and utensils. The outdoor view was spectacular! Nothing like having morning coffee overlooking the Bay. We enjoyed using the Kayaks. Overall, this was a great stay!

I had my doubts when driving down the driveway. But the property did not disappoint. The privacy was the best part. The Oceans in your back yard, crashing waves, while swinging under huge oak trees. I highly recommend if your seeking quiet serenity. All activities a short drive away.
Highly recommend

Beautiful views from the private little beach. It was fun watching the ships in the bay. It feels secluded even though you are close to everything. Bama Bob's BBQ is fabulous and very nearby. The beds are comfortable and the house is nicely equipped.

A long drive curves through coastal forest and then opens up to a stunning view of the house and the bay. We enjoyed our visits to Bellingrath Gardens and to downtown Mobile - each of them an easy drive from the house - but the truth is that if we had never left the property we would have had a marvelous time. We spent hours and hours sitting in the Adirondack chairs, sipping cocktails and visiting with our friends under the live oaks with the bay lapping at the shore fifty feet away. The bay took on different moods at different times of day. At sunrise the whole bay sparkles. Moonrise casts a glowing path from the moon all the way to the shore. On still afternoons the water is smooth as glass. We had one windy day with a breeze strong enough that you had to lean into it, and there were two foot swells. Sailboats close to shore and the occasional ocean going freighter out in the channel.
The floor to ceiling windows in the living room look out over the same view, and the wrap around leather couch was great- plenty of room for four folks to sprawl out on.
The galley kitchen was well equipped. The upstairs shower had a fantastic shower head, which was set high enough in the wall that I didn’t have to duck or stoop. (I’m 6-5”, so that was a rare delight.)
We look forward to coming again and trying out the kayaks when the weather is warmer. We’ve already recommended the place to our friends.

We loved the bay view in the morning and loved the fact that we were literally 15 minutes from the festivities.

We loved staying here. Although it was winter, the evergreen oaks, grass, flowering bushes and large semi-tropical greenery were still green and quite plush. The house has wonderful views of the bay through large well-placed windows. The manager/owner replied quickly to every communication. The location is convenient to both the downtown/midtown area as well as to Dauphin Island and Bellingrath Gardens area. We also visited family in West Mobile. We only heard a few voices once from the Yacht club next door (separated by some woods) but otherwise we felt totally alone in this quiet place and did not hear or see other neighbors as there are plenty of trees. The only caution I have is that, per the listing, it is not child-friendly unless you block the stairway from little climbers. The stairway and office loft have large open bars that are great for unobstructed views but are not safe for children. We highly recommend this place and hope to return.

Wonderful location for a family getaway. Located on the water with breathtaking views yet close to restaurants, golfing, and shopping.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is right on the bay so you have a stretch of beach that you can enjoy. My 9 year-old had a blast checking out jellyfish washed ashore, pieces of driftwood with barnacles, shells and the yard turtle. Even a dead fish was fascinating. We had a small fire on the beach one night (wear bug repellent, trust me!) and made s'mores. The view is magical at night with the lights over the chairs on or with the lights all out and just the lights lining the bay and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. It was equally amazing during the day. I did as a previous guest suggested and watched the sunrise and it was breathtaking. We tried the kayaks (fun even if you're old). The property is centrally located to Mobile and the USS Alabama which was why we came, everything else above was just frosting on top. Beds and big couch are comfy. Bring your own toiletries. I'd only have one small complaint-the pocket door on the upstairs bathroom that goes into the toilet and shower is very difficult to open and close and it's one door that, well, you generally want to close. I don't know if we'll make it back to Mobile but I wold definitely stay here again. My youngest has already asked if we'll ever go back.

So glad we choose this home for my recent visit to Mobile. Matt is easy to communicate with and the property is peaceful and better than I expected. The bed is super comfortable and home was clean, neat and organized. I will stay here again for sure. Thank you Matt for sharing your home with me! I look forward to my next visit. Marsha

This property is great for a couple or a family with kids. Convenient location and beautiful view from the back porch. The living area was spacious, and the main bedroom was large with good views, en suite bathroom, and well-lit dressing area. The 2 smaller bedrooms were not impressive, particularly the smallest one that was dark and had no access to outdoor light. The pantry and kitchen were well-equipped. The home could use some small improvements, particularly the kitchen linens and painted areas outside.

The setting was beautiful - lots of birds for us to enjoy. The house was comfortable but lacked small touches that might make it more inviting to visitors. It also needs some repair particularly in the master bathroom. Overall we enjoyed “coming home” to the property after a day of exploring in the Mobile area.

This house provides a wonderful retreat.
It’s quiet and peaceful with gorgeous vies of the Bay, but only 20 minutes to downtown Mobile. Sun rises and sun sets.
We loved our stay.

The location of this house is what attracted me to it. I love that the back deck and back yard have a view of Mobile Bay.
I loved the bird watching. Even had an Eagle flying over us while drinking coffee on the deck.
I definitely want to come back for longer than 2 days next time.

Loved the view of the bay. Didn’t like the location. Not a lot to do without driving.
Dining room table was adequate but the chairs were falling apart.
Just needs some updating.
Washer and dryer worked great. Dishwasher and air conditioner were extremely Loud.

Went to Mobile to play the Robert Trent golf trail with two friends. Magnolia Grove is about 30 minutes from the house, Lakewood Club is about 45 minutes. Downtown Mobile is about 20 minutes. The house for our trip was perfect. A lovely view of the bay. The beds were comfy (two bedrooms down with a shared bath and an awesome master suite upstairs). The kitchen was small but had what we needed. Big screen TV with comfy couch in the living room....great for watching the President's Cup. Nice deck with chairs, a table and gas grill outside. Communication with Matt was excellent. When we arrived, his son was mowing the grass. I checked the gas grill and noticed the tank was empty. Knowing I would be doing a lot of grilling, the son ran to the local gas station and got me a new tank. Great service. Very secluded so you have lots of privacy. We did order takeout from Bama Bob's which is less than a mile away. AMAZING!! If you are going to shop for groceries, stop before you get to the house at a Publix (preferred) or Piggy Wiggy. Some places close to the house but expensive and limited. Nothing for kids to do unless you bring your own toys and outside games. Enjoy!!

My husband and I enjoyed the home and the beautiful view of Mobile Bay. It was peaceful and quite our entire stay. My favorite spot was the swing. I really enjoyed watching the tides come in and out daily. If you are in the mobile area I recommend you stop by. We will visit again.

Quiet getaway
We loved that this house is on such a private lot overlooking Mobile Bay.
We spent a lot of time on the back deck and the charming swing hanging from the live oak enjoying the sea breeze and view.
Great communication from the host, would definitely recommend!

Wonderful retreat!
My husband and I came to the area on business, and were looking for something that was private and comfortable so we could also enjoy some moments away from it all. This beautiful home is exactly as described. Whether you're sitting on the swing under the lovely old oaks, barbequing on the back porch or relaxing in the living room, the views to the bay are amazing and the sounds of the waves will calm your soul.
All of the furnishings, inside and out, were quite comfortable and we really wanted for nothing while we were there. Even though it is nicely secluded and tucked away from it all, everything you could want is within a short distance.
The owner, Matt, made sure we arrived safely, checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed, and quickly responded when we had a question.
If you are looking for a place to relax and recharge your batteries, this is most definitely the place. We look forward to coming back again!

Awesome house!
Perfect location...easy drive into Mobile...2 hours to New Orleans...an hour to Mississippi beaches..best fresh seafood store (Mudbugs) minutes away! This house is great for enjoying thunderstorms....and sitting listening to the waves....very clean...we met the housekeeper and she gave us tips for local places too....really nice lady.
Matt was very easy to work with as well....gave us a long list of ideas of what to do while here and easy to work with our schedule.
Places to go see....Ft Morgan...Dauphin Island (awesome sugar sand beach), Ft Gaines...Orange Beach is great....little too touristy.....Bob's Downtown Restaurant (breakfast sandwhich and biscuits n gravy!), Mo' Bay Beignets is a must...Debris for soft shell crab PO boy and the BEST twist on a margarita you will ever have.....and if you can still eat get the bourbon and white chocolate bread pudding. Go to Bienville Souvenirs to chat with Gary about the history of Mobile and get the map of a self guided walking tour. And Maple Street Biscuit Company...the Sticky Maple sandwich is OMG good!
I think thats everything.....juat want to add....this was our first trip to Mobile...and we were sooooo taken aback with how NICE the people were everywhere down here...and just how much we loved it. And this house was sooo welcoming with the back deck..the lounge chairs...and the bbq.....you totally cannot miss with this house!!!!

Relaxation at its finest
A perfect weekend getaway. Our first trip to Mobile. We planned to do alot of sightseeing but adjusted our plans so that we could spend more time at this wonderful home. The view was spectacular. We were so happy to find kayaks on the property. Sunrise and sunset paddles were so relaxing. We loved sitting on the swing under the oaks and watching the pelicans fish. The house was so comfortable! We would definitely return here for another visit!!
