About this house rental
This beautifully RENOVATED 3BR, 1.5 bath home merges its FARMHOUSE HERITAGE with MODERN décor and comforts. It is perfectly located on SOUTH STREET, perhaps the most sought-after address in Middlebury because it is nestled right between the heart of campus and this quintessential New England town. Both are just under a 5 min walk away.
The space
The home has a FULLY EQUIPPED CHEF’S KITCHEN which perfectly blends the old-world charm of exposed brick and beams with modern luxuries. All stainless appliances, gas stove, and eat-in kitchen island make this light-filled space a joy to cook and dine in. Adjoining dining space offers handmade custom dining table and views to the side and backyard that bring the outside in. A side porch off the dining area, furnished with Adirondack chairs, is a lovely place to enjoy a drink or a good book. Main living space includes a 65” TV with surround sound, and should you need to sneak in some work there is a great desk nook. If coming with family or friends, we also have a collection of great board games as well as jigsaw puzzles. The first level also includes a convenient half bath and full laundry facilities.
The second floor offers three bedrooms and a full bath. Each room features comfy beds with luxurious linens. The largest bedroom has large windows across the back wall with gorgeous views of the backyard and aspen grove. During the winter months, you can see the Green Mountains.
A private driveway allows for two-car parking. There is plenty of additional free parking on the street in front of the house. If you are visiting the College, you don’t need to worry about finding parking on campus. Property includes gigabit high speed internet and air-conditioning for summer days.
One of the older homes on South Street, the original structure dates to at least the mid-1800s—there are few records that go back further. The house was built to its current footprint in 1915.
Guest access
Entire house. (except for basement, attic, and shed.)
Other things to note
As animal lovers, and parents of two dogs, we are happy to welcome your pets (dogs and/or cats) to our home. We do have simple guidelines for your stay with pets that are outlined in more detail in our guidebook.

We had a great experience staying here. The kitchen is beautiful, the entire house was spotless, and the back yard was great for our dog to get some exercise in.
The location to the center of town is also nice. We were able to walk in for dinner to the restaurants and bars. I would absolutely stay again if I’m in the area.

We had such a lovely stay! The house was just as advertised in a perfect location five seconds from town. The rooms were well appointed and the kitchen was so well stocked! Its one of the first homes in a long time we were able to cook without having to pick up every single ingredient down to the salt. We are looking forward to staying again!

Sweet In-town Getaway
The sweetest little Vermont house with modern touches, comfortable beds, a renovated kitchen, and lovely porches to enjoy the beautiful Vermont weather. The proprietors were sweet and communicative. They left us fresh eggs and some other treats. The house is perfect walking distance to everything. The gardens and yard lovely and conduscive to sitting outside. The beds very comfy with nice linens. Desks where my daughter could take her course exam. A/C for when it was stuffy.

Middlebury Weekend
Check-in process was super easy, property is beautiful! We were thrilled to be able t9 bring our dog along as well. Middlebury is incredibly beautiful and everyone was really friendly! Cute shops downtown. My husband and son golfed up the street. Took trips to Vergennes, Burlington and Waterbury. All beautiful landscapes on the drives. We also rented a boat on a lake for an afternoon after seeing great suggestions in the book provided by the home owners. Really great experience!!

Wonderful house near campus
We loved our stay at this beautifully decorated and recently renovated house. Everything was modern and comfortable, with a great, fully stocked kitchen, updated bathrooms and modern furnishings. It was an easy walk to campus, shops and the fields. The owners communicate quickly and responsively and were excellent hosts, even providing some gluten free goodies given our kids dietary needs. Our Midd student's friends stopped by and everyone admired the house. Overall a great place to stay in Middlebury and we certainly hope to stay here again!
