About this bed and breakfast

We accept pets, however we do have a 2 dog maximum and a $20 per night fee - also, please be mindful that we have a strict NO-Smoking policy that applies to the entire property. An additional $500 fee will be applied if evidence of smoking is found. Now for the space - we’re located in the SoMa district of downtown Little Rock. This original carriage house sits behind it's main house, both built in 1904. You gain access from the alley through a walk gate with a combination lock. On the day of your arrival Doug will send you the code to the gate and the Carriage House door. The entire property has been renovated and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Located in a residential neighborhood and an easy walk to bars, restaurants, museum, and shopping. For those with dogs(no cats), there is a dog and people park a few blocks away. Please message me if your traveling with pets. We have a two dog maximum with a $20 per night fee.

The Carriage Housa on SOMA was the perfect choice for attending the Central High football game. Everything was well thought out and spotless. Doug was a great host and only a text away for questions. We will defintely stay again!

My fiancé and I were in town while I took the Bar exam. This spot was perfect for just the two of us. It was easy to find and is an excellent location to enjoy Little Rock from. Our only complaint, which is minor, was that the Wi-Fi was inconsistent. We didn’t need the Wi-Fi so it didn’t bother us, but if we were reliant on wifi for anything we would have been in trouble. Doug was a complete professional and has excellent communication skills. We will definitely stay here again if we are in Little Rock again.

This was my second stay at carriage house and I hope to return again soon. It’s truly in the best location with a lovely neighborhood a large variety of restaurants close by. The home is very secure and well appointed. I can’t say enough good about the host, he responds quickly to any questions very kind and understanding. It was a perfect stay.

Charming, clean, nice details, great location, a few necessities ready and waiting to help get settled in rather than having to race to the store— (snacks, coffee, paper towels, dish soap etc). Easy communication. Five stars!

The property was perfect! The carriage house was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Great neighborhood, very close to Main Street. The court yard was great. Very private and perfect for our pup we were traveling with. Off street parking was a plus. Highly recommend this spot and we will definitely stay again when traveling from Tennessee toTexas to visit family.

We did our 30th wedding anniversary trip to LR on a whim. Exploring was awesome and we learned that AR really is the Natural State. All kinds of birds and easy jaunts right near the house. Plus armadillos! Farther afield, beautiful green landscapes and helpful people. Doug is the best; both attentive and responsive but never in the way. Nice, tidy, and clean place, which is always appreciated. Great trip for us.

After a perfect eclipse experience and gorgeous day at Crystal Bridges, we ended our Arkansas adventure at the Carriage House in SOMA. Doug was prompt and detailed in all communications- we found and entered the property easily. The sunny private yard, well-planned layout, and Arkansas historical books and documents were added delights. The quiet location is an easy walk to DT and river front parks. Root Cafe is just a few blocks away with the best chicken & dumplings ever. Very quiet, comfortable night and wonderfully hot wake-up shower sent us on our way this morning. We highly recommend the Carriage House and would definitely stay there again.

This is the cleanest property you will ever find. The whole place looks and feels like nobody has ever been there. It’s cozy, well-stocked, and inviting. Easy to access and right in the middle of everything Little Rock has to offer.

Perfect place to stay for two! All of the amenities of home; large shower, comfortable bed. Host is very responsive, kind and helpful! Only 1.5 miles to Simmons Bank Arena to catch your favorite concert!

Had a wonderful stay over an all too short weekend. Able to bring our two small dogs and it worked out perfectly. Comfy bed, small kitchen, fenced in yard for the pups and well appointed set up. Communication with Doug was quick and easy and we love the location. Several restaurants and breakfast place were a short walk. Very quiet location. Great stay!

Was in on an overnight stop on my way to Oklahoma, and I really couldn't have asked for more than this place. Impeccably clean, great sense of style. Just a very welcome end to a long day. Only contact with owner was by phone and they were excellent. Definitely on my favorites list.

Space: Super clean. Functionally stocked kitchen. Tasteful lighting. Thoughtful, simple decor. No "live, laugh, love" or other motivational garbage √. Great local touches on the drink coasters! Interesting books. Location: Perfect. Easy parking and close to downtown LR, the Arkansas MFA, Military Museum & SOMA restaurants/watering holes. Quiet neighborhood, but just 30-secs from the interstate. Will stay again in a heartbeat.

This was my second stay at this vrbo. It’s always clean (and I’m very picky!) The host is very responsive if you have questions. The bed is super comfortable, and the space feels very private. I usually just stay one night between Nashville and Dallas, but if I’m ever in Little Rock for an extended stay, this will be my choice as well.

Doug was an excellent host . The carriage house was spotless and everything was provided to make our stay comfortable . Our dog loved the fenced in backyard . Two blocks from the SOMA district of Little Rock where you can find cute shops and great food. Doug was an excellent and accommodating host and the carriage house was a cute, comfy, and clean place to land after exploring. Great little fenced and secured yard for hanging out or for a furry friend, too!

The area is very quiet lots of beautiful historic homes and close to all of the taurus landmarks you'd like to see in the little rock area and great SOMA community in walking distance. The carriage house is beautifully decorated with all the amenities and very comfortable.

The check in process was easy. The yard was fully fenced and properly maintained. The house was clean with lots of nice little gestures like snacks and coffee. The house looks small from the outside but the inside feels much bigger. Everything is new and in great order. I will definitely be staying here again!
