This house was perfect for our family of 8 …. Enough rooms and very spacious. Another shower would have been nice, but it didn’t make/break the trip. The view of the bay and the very short walk to the Big Lake made this location primo!

First time thst i have been to michigan and so much loved it. . We rented this cottage for our family. It was so relaxing and peaceful there. And just a short walk to the beach and of course had to go rock hunting It is also close to so many attractions picture rock ,hiking trails. Then at night sitting outside with a fire going. Absolutely beautiful cottage. Easy access to Grand Marais Beach, downtown & Dream Bean Machine coffee shop. Loads of space & seating areas in the house. Queen bedrooms both have ceiling fans, but rest of the house could use some fans for better circulation.

We had a group of 7 (two families of parents and young adult kids). This was the perfect house for us. Nice privacy in the bedrooms, cute decor, and very clean. Location can't be beat! Just a short walk to town, the bay, and the big lake beach. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful cottage. Gorgeous view of the Bay and very close to Lake Superior. Completely supplied with about everything we needed throughout the week. Local grocery store for needed items. Beautiful little town with several restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. Owner answered phone calls immediately when we had questions. Just an amazing time.

Beautiful lakeside home in a Serene location
We absolutely loved the location of this home. The host was quick to respond and had taken every effort to keep the home well equipped. The rooms were big and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and had some basic spices. A dish washer in the kitchen would have been helpful. The washing machine and dryer were super useful especially since the kids went to the beach everyday. The bathrooms were clean and had hot water available. The hostess had also stocked shampoo and conditioner with lots of beach towels. The decor in the house was also beautiful! Lots of local photographs.
The host had kept a file with local information. The view from the living room was gorgeous as was the patio outdoors with the song . There’s a small fireplace and a grill ( we didn’t have the time to use either).
The location is perfect whether you want to go towards the Log Slide or Pictured rock or the Tahquamenon falls. The night sky was gorgeous as was the access to the beach for sunset. The town is idyllic and the people friendly. Overall had a fabulous stay at the Mariner’s cottage at Grand Marais MI.
