About this house rental
Mary's Lake Cabin is an original Estes Park cabin built in 1909. It is located just a mile away from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, Mary's Lake, and downtown Estes Park! It is situated on a wooded .7-acre lot where you will enjoy mountain views and abundant wildlife such as deer, elk, and an occasional meandering black bear. If you take the time to relax on the porch, you can watch them as they graze the property or sleep peacefully under the pines in the front yard. This beautiful location is also a natural habitat for wild turkeys. You will find them wandering through the yard on a daily basis during the Fall and Spring months.
Whether you are visiting Estes Park for business or pleasure, there is something to do for everyone. One thing is certain, you can enjoy any of the four seasons Estes Park has to offer. Whether it's snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding in Rocky Mountain National Park, horseback riding, or visiting the downtown Estes Park shops, you can stay busy any time of the year. During the Summer months try your luck at fishing, hiking, panning for gold, and wildlife viewing. Don't forget your camera for those picture-perfect photo ops of the beautiful Mountain Views! There's also plenty to do at the cabin when you are not out exploring the National Park. While inside you can enjoy card games, board games, puzzles, books, DVDs, Wi-Fi, streaming T.V, or just relax next to the fireplace (which is the main heat source for the home) on those cool nights. You will find a ping-pong table and darts in the garage, or you can enjoy a game of cornhole on a sunny day in the driveway!
This historic Mary's Lake cabin offers a beautifully furnished 3 bedroom, 2 bath space with 1274 sq. ft. of living area! The home provides plenty of room for the whole family to enjoy with all the comforts you need. It even has a cute little loft and sitting area where you can drift away during an afternoon nap or dive not your favorite book! Be sure to take time and experience a mountain morning sunrise on the large open spacious deck while having that first cup of coffee in the morning. Then later in the day get ready to grill your next meal while you relax enjoying family and friends. And, on those occasions when you find yourself inside, enjoy the enclosed porch with a morning cup of coffee or your afternoon beverage of choice. You will want an extra day or two just to soak in the sweetness of this cozy mountain cabin.
So, what are you waiting for? The Mountains are Calling!

We visited RMNP for two days and found this cottage to be in a great location. Just minutes to the park gate and away from the busy traffic of Estes Park. My children enjoyed the “charm” of the cottage, it reminded them of a WI resort that we go to. While some furnishings are dated, the appliance are all new. I did miss not having a dishwasher.
We also stayed when the weather became unseasonably cold and found the heating to be sufficient. For those traveling with pets, while the cottage is amongst other cottages and is not “alone in the woods”, there was plenty of wild animals and wild animal scat surrounding the house. Overall, we found this rental clean and its proximity to RMNP and Estes Park to be ideal.

We wanted a quiet Thanksgiving and to experience some cooler temperatures. This was the perfect spot. Location was great. Close to Estes, RMNP and beautiful scenery right out our front door. It snowed while we were there. We saw several deer out front Lmost every day. Very relaxing.

Home was great, enough rooms, beds were comfortable. Parking was ample, garage door was a little tough to open to place trash in bin. Close to everything.

This was our 4th trip to Estes Park and Rocky Mtn. National Park. We brought my dad for the first time to see the beautiful scenery and wildlife. The house had everything we needed, we enjoyed the elk and deer in the yard. Our Mini Aussie enjoyed them from the front porch as she made that her lookout. The property owner was very attentive and helpful with all the instructions and questions. We will be looking to come back and stay here again in the future.

Property had basic amenities, plus additional pantry & kitchen aids.
Outside areas, great for enjoying the weather.
Busy highway noise. We did enjoy our stay!!

Could be awesome if better maintained. Property is unkempt. Problem stench at front of house was not resolved.

My group and I were in the area for a wedding and had the Bride and Grooms dog with us. The cabin is pet friendly, but be aware of the wildlife. Lots of elk and deer. We had a small issue, but the Managment company addressed the issue and partially comped us for the inconvenience. It’s a good spot to lay your head after adventuring and walking through Estes Park.

Property location was great. Very close to Beaver Meadows RMNP entrance. There were elk grazing and napping in the yard nearly every morning while we had breakfast. The home is fully outfitted including a kitchen with ample implements to enable a range of family meals. You can tell the house has grown and evolved in its ~100 years making it eclectic. It served us well.

Only problem was opening the garage door to put trash in bins. Nice and quiet neighbors. We had a great time. We couldn't find a can opener so bought a cheap one.

Nice location and views. In instructions said to leave dirty dishes in dishwasher, there was no dishwasher. Outdated food/condiments in fridge and pantry. Loose wires visible under working fire place. Old uncomfortable furniture. Taking time outside and a weird across the yard neighbor took pictures of us, walked up on us,then kept stalking. The price was right but the fees outrageous. Also had to use 2 different apps to complete payment. We followed the rules, but all in all a great stay.

I might characterize the property as a place for hunters and people in the area for fishing. It's rustic, as expected for a 1909 house! Initial concerns about "no heat" were quickly dissipated by a warming fireplace and heating units in bedrooms.

Great place to stay. Close to town, yet far enough out to have deer in the yard several mornings. Quiet place to stay and very welcoming.

Wonderful place to stay and enjoy Estes Park and the national park.

Enjoyed our stay! A very comfy cabin at a reasonable rate!

While we enjoyed the property, it was clean, well situated, in good shape, and well stocked, I was surprised with no dishwasher and the main source of heat being the fireplace. Well both situations were manageable, I wish I had been made aware of those items prior to booking the property. I do want to complain that over 42% of the cost of renting this property for 2 nights ended up being VRBO and cleaning charges. I feel like that was quite excessive. Additionally, early checkin/late checkout options were mentioned in several of my notices from the property manager. I was dismayed to learn that those two options would have cost me an additional $200 and for only providing access to the property for an additional total of 4 hours.

Our main purpose for staying in Estes Park was to be close to RMNP and this property filled the bill perfectly. It was such an easy commute each day we went to the park. It was a functional property that met our needs with cabin being an apt description. It was cool in the mornings but the gas powered fireplace and space heater warmed up the living spaces pretty quickly.
We were looking for a property that allowed pets for our son's dog for a couple nights of our stay and this was one of the few properties available.
We would stay here again!

Although the home was cozy and it felt like you were at grandma's house; home was very old, stuffy, out dated. Carpets need replacing, couches and pull out are old and overall felt dirty. My family and I suffer from seasonal allergies and our stay caused us all to have allergy flare ups. House doesn't seem to have proper ventilation system, it's more of a cabin and not a house. Wall heaters didn't work, over all our stay is a 3 out of 10. Of course the views are amazing and we were able to see Elk and turkey walk by the property. Family and I won't be booking that stay until it's updated.

great location to park and and visiting area. a number of windows did not have screens. we needed to replace (5) light bulbs that were burned out. I reported to your office that the locking system on the main entrance door needed to have the batteries replace. a young man showed up to replace the batteries but had issues opening the compartment and damaged the cover... he taped the cover shut and said he could return and replace it. I wanted you to know from me. We had a great visit...

The cabin was quite nice and very roomy. We appreciated the multiple bathrooms and bedrooms, and our three daughters enjoyed the upstairs space. We were a little worried about not being able to fill out a pre-condition report and being held accountable for existing damage to carpet (a few spots) and window blinds (several bent and broken slats), but looks like we were ok. One evening, a doe and two fawns were on the property, and it was a treat to watch them.

I enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately the grill was dirty when we arrived and I didn’t want to have clean it twice. I cleaned it up some Decided I sure didn’t want to spend all my time to clean it. The bathroom sink off the living room drained slow.
I did like staying here and would stay here again.

This was a cozy place to spend Thanksgiving with friends.
Cons: There was some confusion checking in, and the first night someone nearby was drunk and screaming for hours. There is also no dishwasher (although the listing doesn’t say there is one), and no recycling.
Pros: the house was cozy, and quiet after the first night. It was easy to cook in the kitchen, and the beds were comfortable. The fireplace was a great plus!

This 3 bedroom/2 bath property was perfect for our family staying here with 2 teenagers and 3 adults. The property is 2 blocks from 36 W that goes into RMNP so you can avoid all the downtown traffic. At the bottom of the hill are restaurants/grocery/gas and anything you need but you can't see it from the cabin. LOVED this cabin.

Great management
There was an issue with the reservation, but the management company (Lowell from PMI Estes Park) fixed the problem and made sure we have a great vacation. Keep up to good work! Thank you!
