The setting of the house

Very nice home. Beautiful property with great views. The river was very low, which was disappointing. Loved, loved, loved the property. There were some issues with the cleanliness and the plumbing in one bathroom. However, property management was very responsive and sent someone out right away.

My wife, my friends and I stayed here for the eclipse and we were really impressed with the experience. The regal riverfront home was a hidden oasis, and the property was spacious and well-maintained. There was a lot of room for the kids in our party to tire themselves out chasing butterflies in the garden. The main house and the casitas were excellent accommodation for us, with modern amenities delivered in a subtle way that embraced the serene getaway atmosphere. The main house was a perfect situation for all the guests to play a spirited round of Catan. A wonderul time was had by all.

It was one of the worst experiences we’ve had, noting I’ve been a member and property owner with Vrbo for 9 years; this place was abandoned, a beautiful property handed to the wrong management company, when we got there we ran the water in the whole house and it smelt like rotten eggs for over 2 hours, we all got headaches and we went and sat outside getting bit by insects while we waited for the smell to vacate the house because it was inhabitable, the hot water didn’t work the entire time, and we were told sorry no one can assist us we could’ve even reach them via phone call we would text and get a response hours later, false advertisement on the private dock it’s so dried up u can’t even dock a kayak bc there was no water just dirt and grass… trees and branches haven’t been maintained making easy to scratch very expensive cars and trucks and gate is very flimsy and timed really quick so if you drive behind each other it can close on you and damage your car which happened to a 2024 f-150 king ranch that is costing $3,000 to repaint the bed side from there gate damage… please stay away from this place it looks like it came out of a scary movie and you are abandoned from management… literally in the woods and on your own!!!

If I could give this company AND property zero stars, I would. Everything about our stay was miserable from the moment we arrived. 1) We arrived around 1am after a long drive to a house we couldn't get into. The code given was incorrect and no one could get a hold of the property manager to help. Vacasa wasn’t any help either. We ended up getting into the house because one of the side doors was left open. So after finally getting in, we had to do a complete and thorough search of every closet and under beds to make sure someone else hadn’t broken in before we got there. 2) while looking behind curtains, we found mens shorts, boxers, and other clothing items. Just another red flag! How can you claim a cleaning crew came in when they didn’t even move the curtain to clean? 3) We noticed how gross the carpets were during our search of the house, but it was past 2am at this point and we just wanted to get to sleep. 4) When we saw the house the next morning in the light of day, we were absolutely disgusted with what we found. The carpets were even grosser in broad day light and had clearly not been cleaned. You could see cleaning lines on the carpet under a few pieces of furniture, but nothing in the main area. There were pieces of candy lying on the floor (which our toddler almost ate but we stopped it in time!) 5) as if gross, unclean carpets weren’t enough, there were dead bugs EVERYWHERE. We started taking pictures to send to the company because by this point, we were done. 5) we were so disgusted by the place we decided to end our trip after the first night and go home. We reached out to Vacasa with our concerns and to report everything. We sent pictures of everything and got an email back today with the response “we will not be issuing a refunds of days not used because we couldn’t find evidence of the issues you reported.” I had literally taken pictures of the issues! They also claimed that since we didn’t give them a chance to fix the issues, they didn’t have to refund us. This is an incredibly ridiculous statement, as we gave them a chance to give us the correct code (which we had not received still) and sending in exterminators and carpet/house cleaning crews while there are guests present would be a huge inconvenience! They did, however, say they would give us a “partial refund of the cleaning fee due to the dead bugs that were found.” And that’s AFTER they stated in the same email that they “found no evidence of the issues described.” To end my review- if you are thinking about using this company or staying at this property, DONT. If anything is wrong with the property, your money is lost and they won’t help you at all. I’d LOVE to send you pictures of what we found, and let you decide whether or not they’re proof enough of the disgusting state of the place. Take your family elsewhere!!!
