Welcome to Rosewood Haus! This early Fredericksburg home was built in 1914 and is located on a pretty, quiet street, just 8 blocks from Main Street. You'll find 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, a large kitchen and dining room, two living spaces, spacious laundry area, cozy front porch, and brand new backyard with a beautiful pool, spa, and fire pit. The history of this home can be appreciated in the old fashioned pump for the underground water well, original wood floors in some areas, as well as charming beadboard ceilings. Rosewood provides EV Charging and has plenty of off-street parking for our guests.

In order to comply with the above ordinance, this property is outfitted with audio monitoring and security cameras. The areas monitored by camera are the front porch and parking lot. Audio monitoring is present on the pool deck and in the kitchen. This audio monitoring system only measures decibels and sends a report to the owner when a certain decibel level is reached. Amazing getaway, the pictures of the backyard do not do it justice as it was beyond better than what we expected. House is lovely, beds are comfortable and we loved watching movies outside while relaxing on the pool.

The location of this home was great, but it was disappointing that the pool and spa did not heat up on the first evening. After reporting it they finally sent someone Saturday afternoon to fix it.
Also, all of the dishes were dirty in the cabinets…yuck!
The house could have been cleaner as well.

The house and the backyard area are beautiful, and the location was perfect! I would stay at Rosewood Haus again. I would only recommend a small chest of drawers in each bedroom.

Overall, the visit went well. A few items did detract from the overall experience. The outside TV would turn on but nothing else. We couldn't watch TV or listen to any music while outside. Google was not responding. I did reset the router and that helped some but had to unplug the lights upstairs that were plugged into the system. You really need some flyswatters in the house. Flies were in the house all the time!! I would recommend highlight painting some of the steps outside and going in to the 1st floor back bedroom. Several stumbles were had inside and out.

We enjoyed our stay. Thanks for having us! Only negative was that it was very cold temperatures at night and the master bath stayed cold, but we managed okay. The shower and bath water was nice and hot which helped early in the morning! The grand girls still enjoyed the hot tub and said it was very nice and warm!

The house was gorgeous. It was perfect for our group of 10 to enjoy the weekend together. Only thing I found a little odd in the layout was the master bedroom did not have a closet or a coat closet near by - so I had to live out of my suitcase for the weekend. The upstairs bedrooms do have a closet.
Communication with the property manager was great. They were very quick to respond and act. Also they were incredibly nice every time I called them.
One callout I would make is the decibel monitor is incredibly sensitive. If your whole group of 10 is in the kitchen together, it will go off - even if you're having a normal conversation. The first night we only have 8 people staying there as 2 were coming the next morning. That night we did not get a text alerting us that the monitor went off. But as soon as the 2 others showed up, we starting getting alerts from the 24 hour service asking us to lower our volume. My only feedback to this management company is if you are going to advertise this place for 10 people, you should make sure the monitor can handle a 10 person conversation - especially in a communal room like the kitchen. I completely understand the importance of the monitor. I'm not saying the setting needs to be raised a lot, but it shouldn't go off when the whole group is chatting in the kitchen with no music on.

We went to Fredericksburg for a relaxing getaway , we enjoyed shopping, tasting wine and going out to eat but most of all we just loved hanging out in this great house with our friends sitting around the firepit at night and talking !!! We will be coming back to this great house, hopefully soon. We were a group of 3 couples, been friends for 45 years and enjoyed every minute of our time together hanging out at this house.

Property was very nice. Great outdoor space with pool, fire pit and outdoor living area and dining area with grill. Fire pit was awesome! Stairs to upstairs were a bit difficult. Beds and bedrooms were good. Really appreciated the number of plugs and USB ports in the bedrooms to plug in phones and I-pads etc.. Also had a great game room in the back of the property which we unfortunately did not have time to use. Property is close to downtown and restaurants and not far from wineries. Would definitely use this property again!

The only problem we had with Rosewood Haus was the step down/up on the walkway/patio area. The step up/down should have some type of warning strip that would prevent falls. One of our party fell - 74 year old woman. She was extremely fortunate the injury was no worse than a bad hematoma on her thigh and skinned knee and elbow.
Everything else with our stay was very enjoyable. The location is close to town. The kitchen and baths are furnished with all the amenities one could need. Will certainly consider staying here again when we visit Fredericksburg.

We had an amazing time at this property, it was perfect for the romantic getaway we needed. The outdoor space is lovely, and plenty of accommodations throughout the home. During our stay we noted that the Roku remote to the outdoor TV was out of batteries, the shampoo/shower gel was empty in the master bathroom, and there was a small piece of white tile that was dislodged on the master bathroom floor as well (we left the tile by the bathroom sink). Otherwise, it was beautiful!

My stay
So the overall experience of the stay was nice, the house was as described but the following issues occured during our stay. The pool was dirty and we had to clean it personally, there was no body wash, shampoo or conditioner in 2 of the 3 bathrooms but after calling the number listed the 2 bathrooms were fully stocked again. There were only 3 pods for the laundry so we were limited on who could do laundry. The half and half for the coffee was expired. Other than the issues listed the overall experience was great and the house was nice.
