About this apartment rental
Summary:
Dramatic 1,250+ square foot corner apartment with 12 foot tall ceilings, massive windows, and panoramic city and lake views in multiple directions. This stylish light-filled two bedroom, two bathroom space is perfect for groups looking for a luxurious getaway in the sky in the heart of downtown Chicago. Centrally located in a historic building close to everything you want to visit, this is the best location in the city!
The Space:
Located on a high floor in a secure, high-end building in the heart of Chicago! Once inside, you're greeted by an airy space with beautiful wood floors and large windows on multiple sides overlooking Lake Michigan, the city skyline, and the neighborhood below. The views are fabulous both during the day and at night!
Interior design is a passion of ours and the chic furnishings reflect that! There is fast internet, a 50" smart TV with Roku, and comfortable modern furniture to lounge on.
The kitchen and living room are open and spacious. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and all the tools you need to cook a great meal. We have 2 counter stools for the granite kitchen island and a small dining table. Plenty of room to dine comfortably or to use as a workspace.
For each guest, the comfortable beds have crisp, clean linens and the bathrooms are stocked with fresh towels and bath products. Sleeping arrangements are as follows:
Bedroom 1: Queen bed
Bedroom 2: Queen bed
Living Room: Full size sleeper sofa
We also provide towels, iron, cleaning supplies, etc. and you have full access to the in-unit washer and dryer. The apartment has ample closet space throughout.
The building has a 24 hour doorman and great amenities including a gym, a club room lounge area, a convenience store, a gourmet coffee shop, and a speakeasy cocktail bar.
Guest Access:
You'll have complete and private access to our apartment and the building's shared amenities and retail spaces.
The Neighborhood:
The Loop is the heart of Chicago and the most central location in the entire city! You are surrounded by world-class architecture, shopping, theaters, parks, and other sites. From our place you can quickly walk to Millennium Park, the lakefront, the Chicago Riverwalk, the Art Institute, Grant Park, the Magnificent Mile, and so much more. The Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium are just a 5 minute ride or a scenic walk along the lakefront. Oak Street for luxury shopping and the West Loop restaurant row for world class dining are only 5 minutes away as well!
Getting Around:
Our place is surrounded by trains that will quickly take you anywhere in the city you want to go! Uber and Lyft are also available 24/7. You'll have no trouble getting around without a car. Directly next to our building are stops for all of the city's main train lines (Blue, Red, Brown, Pink, Orange, and Green lines), making it extremely easy to get to O'Hare and Midway Airports and other parts of the city such as the West Loop, Lincoln Park, McCormick Place, Old Town, Wicker Park, Logan Square, etc.
Parking is not included with our listing, but there are many convenient and secure parking garages close to our building (within a couple blocks). Nearby garages include 318 S Federal St, 64 W Van Buren St, and many others. I suggest using SpotHero or ParkWhiz to find and book discounted parking. You can usually find reasonable overnight parking for $15 to $30.
Other Things to Note:
Although located on a high floor, this property still receives some ambient noise from the nearby L train, which is normal for apartments in downtown Chicago. We provide ear plugs and noise machines for light sleepers.
Dogs allowed with prior approval only. Please inquire about breed restrictions. 35 pound weight limit. $35/night per pet fee applies. Unauthorized pets will incur a $500 fee.

Enjoyed being able to walk to almost all the main tourist areas. Building and apartment are unique. Very responsive host.

Wonderful. Clean, bright, and with operable windows to let in a breeze. The living room is a nice place to hang out recovering from loop activities (such as a big day at the Art Institute or a river tour...). So much better than a hotel room!!!
The water view is minimal but the view of the Harold Washington library is excellent. Excellent kitchen provisioning - everything you might need. The washer/dryer works great. The place is well-stocked. And super-convenient to the El...
We'd stay here again when in Chicago, without a doubt!
Everything was as expected (and better) and our hosts communicated well and really take care of the place. The building staff in the lobby were very nice and the apartment was remarkably quiet.
You're gonna hear sounds of the city - sirens, the trains...
We didn't find the El noise to be a problem for sleeping, though I'll say the bedrooms don't get dark at night - the blinds don't keep all the city lights out (about the only thing I'd change).

The apartment was very nice and consistent with the description in the listing. The building has a gym and a nice lounge area upstairs, and some cool architectural touches. The location is a little bit of a mixed bag -- close to Theatre District, Michigan Avenue, Millenium Park. It is noisy (the El runs right next to the building, although a white noise app can drown it out) and while nobody bothered us and we never felt unsafe, a lot of people hang out on the block and you have to navigate around them.

Wonderful historic building.
Very comfortable beds.

This property is really nice minus some of the political things happening around this location. Staff there were quite friendly and helpful. The property needs some minor repairs but overall this is a great VRBO!!

This is a wonderful property in an historic building. Each unit was previously an office and they left the original office names on the doors. The receptionist Lisa is so friendly, helpful and wears a perpetual smile. Nice place for a getaway.

Great location and super easy area to get around. The only down side was all the 20 something year old men that were hanging out in front of the building. One of them tried to grab my daughter. Which was quite unsettling.

Good location in terms of convenience- but beware of individuals loitering outside the bldg after dark. Glad to have concierge and security at this property.

I really enjoy the sights and sounds of the city and this place affords it all. Being on the 15th floor allows you to see the skyscrapers and all of the shorter buildings AND has views of Lake Michigan, which is so great! The apartment also overlooks the very interesting Chicago Public Library which has very cool ironwork.
The kitchen was great, having two bedrooms and bathrooms was wonderful, and it was all very clean and not at all cluttered. So, the place has it all: perfect location (we walked everywhere), views, and clean spaciousness. Thank you for this wonderful little vacation!

Chicago in August is amazing! We wanted to show our friends what we love about the city. The Property we stayed at is in a great location, near public transportation to Wrigley Field and the Airport. There are also great restaurants nearby.
The apartment is on a high floor and is secure. The view is great The apartment is decorated nicely and very comfortable.

Very easy booking and communication process with hosts.
Place is in south loop, business district so quite a walk to most popular activities.
A little dingy that a good deep clean would help. But overall bad everything we needed.

This rental is in a great location and walking distance to many tourist attractions. It was clean and well maintained. The concierge desk always has a talkative and pleasant person and the residents were kind too.
Our only thing we didn’t like was that we are morning people and nothing opens before 8am. So we went and bought coffee and creamer and used the apartments coffee maker in the morning. The kitchen is stocked and clean. Thank you!

This was a great place to assemble various family members after attending a birthday dinner nearby. Perfect spot to play board games, and have snacks and drinks!

Great location. Property just as advertised. Nice decor, very light as is a corner unit. Would definitely stay again. All information proved in timely manner and complete. Loved Lisa the concierge who was very helpful and friendly and full of the joys of spring.

We traveled from Reno Nevada for a work meeting and this apartment was perfect for what we needed. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to be, hit some great restaurants and even caught a theater show, "Wicked" which i highly recommend. We both felt completely safe walking in this neighborhood and downtown. My co-worker loved that Floradora (high end clothing store) right across the street! The check in person was super nice and answered all our questions. The apartment itself was spotless with great views, beds were super comfy, the building is historical and very charming. We even used the gym, which was nicely equipped., and there is a great coffee shop on the ground floor. Thank you for hosting us, if our meeting returns to Chicago next year so will we! Sharyn J.

Stayed for a long weekend with my wife and two kids to explore the city. This place is as clean and comfortable as we hope for on every vacation. Not all places live up, but this one does.
Communication from property manager was clear and consistent. Also highly responsive to questions.
As advertised in the pictures. No surprises.
I would stay here again and recommend to friends.
Thanks!

Perfect for a Trip to Chicago
The place was perfect for my husband and my in-laws. Beautiful apartment, convenient location, and easy check in. Would definitely choose this space again!

Excellent location!
We really enjoyed our stay at this location! It was a first time trip to Chicago for our family, so we spent most of our time in the loop. We found it very easy to get around: walking to most museums, restaurants, attractions of interest, etc. and then using metro stops that were within 1 block for places north of the river.
I had occasion to contact the property management company a few times, and their response was very prompt (within 10 minutes), and had my questions addressed right away!
We did notice street noise during the day (elevated train, fire trucks, traffic, music), but it didn't affect our ability to sleep at night. There were ear plugs and noise machines provided in both bedrooms (we had actually brought our own noise machines b/c we use them at home anyway, and those were all we needed).
We would definitely stay here again!
