About this house rental
This is a very special beachfront home in the Pointe West Subdivision. Perfect for medium size family gatherings with more than enough outdoor seating on the wrap-around porch.
The home features two primary bedrooms - one with king bed (sleeps 2), the other with queen bed (sleeps 2) and this primary with the queen bed has a beach view. Each primary has a private bath with a soaking tub and shower. The third bedroom has a queen bed (sleeps 2). The fourth bedroom features 2 sets of twin bunk beds (sleeps 4), and fifth bedroom has 1 set of twin bunk beds (sleeps 2). Living area has queen sleeper sofa (new 2017). The open concept living area features full beach views through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The kitchen is thoughtfully appointed with a dishwasher, ice maker, and all the extras that a kitchen of this caliber would have. This home features hardwood floors, stainless appliances, granite countertops and top-of-the-line everything!

This vacation home should accommodate up to 4 vehicles to be parked at the property. Carpooling is highly recommended. Vehicles should be parked in the driveway or designated parking space. At no time should any vehicle be parked on lawns, yards or dune. Many HOAs do not allow parking for trailers, RVs, boats, etc. Please contact Ryson with any questions.
Even if listed as a provided amenities, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network or channels or cable and internet signal quality and cable may not be available on all TVs. Oftentimes additional TVs are available for guests wanting to hook up their own game systems or streaming devices.
All reservations require a completed Ryson Rental Agreement, and the agreement holder must be at least 25 years of age to rent this property and provide a valid ID at check-in. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am.
EXTENDED STAYS
Monthly rentals are considered in the off-season - Winter Texans, snowbirds, retirees, corporate stays, medical professionals, university students and plant workers are welcome. Extended stays or monthly rentals require a stay of 30+ nights, and these reservations are tax exempt. This is an immediate savings of 15%! Although most extended stay reservations are between the middle of November through February, extended stays may be considered anytime between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Extended stay reservations may not be placed online, but a Ryson Vacation Planner would love to answer any questions you may have and help you reserve your extended stay.

Loved the property, the quietness and the club house/shared HOA amenities. We were not quite prepared for the length of drive to a local Walmart or Starbucks, or how few food delivery options there would be. We also had some Texas size cockroaches in the house, but that may be normal.

I typically would always just ignore ever leaving anything not positive but I feel this go around I need to with the money we paid for this rental. We booked this house for spring break & my daughters bday was the 11th of March so we figured we would take a trip to Galveston. We’ve stayed in Pointe West numerous times but not satisfied this go around. Not with Pointe West itself but with the house. Considering the price was raised one week prior to spring break from when I looked at it it was too high to have the type of problems we had. Ants were so bad in the back yard that I realized this after being bit & my feet were covered in ants. Refrigerator water maker & ice machine didn’t work so we had to buy water & bags of ice. The breakers kept tripping when too many lights were turned on & the lights flickered every time the AC unit would come on. The jacuzzi tub in master bathroom doesn’t work the (jets). The ovens heating element must be going out as it takes about an hour for the oven to heat to 350 degrees. Next time these things need to be checked out prior to raising your price a week prior to spring break. I feel this was done only because you saw the activity & clicks on this listing as a week prior I had the same dates & the price was lower. I did not call maintenance for all of these issues as it’s very inconvenient to have people in & out while we are there. The house is pretty & the open design is nice but when you spend several thousands you expect better.

Bathroom showers were moldy. Broken chairs. Loose plumbing. The place was riddled with fire ants causing one trip to urgent care and some of our group leaving early. No manual for how things worked....back patio doors (weird set tup) were unlocked when we arrived and we only learned how to lock them when we complained via internet system and the management company showed up after four days and another direct telephone complaint. Several of our party heard critters in the walls....significant signs in unlocked owners garage. No dish towels. Outdoor barbeque was filthy. Management company promised response in 24 hours to our initial online complaint on Day 1, but only showed up on Day 5 just before we left when we called again. We believe a significant refund is in order.

Our family of 11 enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home with all of the comforts of home. The kitchen was equipped very well, we cooked several meals together and had everything we needed. The views were sprawling, best views of any home we have stayed in before, and we have stayed in many! We will definitely stay here again!

This property is very well-appointed and clean and is located in our favorite Galveston neighborhood. The decoration is beautiful, the televisions are smart TVs and made watching streaming services easy, and the living room and dining table both have ample seating. The management company left baskets of little goodies in the kitchen and all bathrooms, which was a nice touch.
There were only a few negatives - one is that there is only one bathroom for 3 bedrooms on one side where up to 7 people can stay. Another issue was that there was no deadbolt, so that made us a bit nervous. We would've also loved cushions for the outside seating - the rocking chairs aren't too comfortable and there are no other options out on the deck. However, those are champagne problems, to be honest.
Prior to our stay, we had no problem getting in touch with the property manager, but during the stay there was no reply to our email and text. Luckily, it was not urgent in nature, so we didn't worry much about it.
Overall, we highly recommend this property!

Hidden Charges
We enjoyed our 3 night stay in Galveston, but felt that VRBO added a sizeable surcharge after booking. I will never rent with VRBO again but instead deal directly with the property manager or realtor! Also the picture of the house is very outdated and looks like the house is quite far apart from other properties. There are others all around and we heard hammering all day from workmen on new properties next door and across the street.

This house is awesome. Great sized rooms, kitchen with all the amenities, perfect patio overlooking ocean, and close access to the walkover. The house also has a charcoal grill which isn't listed in the description. We'll definitely be back!

Thanksgiving on the beach
The property was very clean and supplied as noted. The kitchen and living area was a perfect size for accommodating . We had 8 adults and 1 child and lots of room. Bedrooms are spacious.

Awesome Family Get-a-way Retreat!
From the street appeal of this home, the “Beachfront Flamingo”, to the layout of the bedrooms to the family room and kitchen working so well for our family to the proximity to the very clean beach plus a great community pool and entertainment area - we loved this home.

We loved the yellow house as the kids called it! Great location and we were happy to see the newly extended boardwalk. We always enjoy everything about Pointe West! The floor plan was great. It was very clean, nicely decorated and well appointed. The wrap around deck was great too. The people at Ryson Real Estate were really kind and helpful to us. Only a few suggestions on the home: the bar stools need tightening or replacing, very wobbly; same for the ladder on the blue bunk bed; and the gaming systems need some attention - controllers missing, not syncing, or missing batteries. Minor things that would not prevent us from renting again. We had a blast at this house!

No Working A/C, no after hours response from property managers
The a/c broke on our first night, the emergency services said they would send someone which they never did. Garage is in major disrepair, not even garbage worthy.
