Nice, but hosting poor, and problems with heating made on bedroom unusable in winter.

The location is good for either Bawtry or Doncaster.

It must have been 40 degree celcius when we arrived, all the heating was on absolute max - biggest problem was with the single room, as the side of the bed touches the only radiator in the room, and you couldn't even touch the radiator it was that hot (let alone sleep in a bed touching it) - we tried to turn the radiator down, but it only has 2 settings (well, it supposedly has 5, but only 2 things happen), you can choose between 'artic cold' (i.e. off) or 'nuclear' (i.e. melting your skin) - as soon as you turn the valve beyond 'off', it jumps straight to 'nuclear' no matter how small an increment you move - so, we had no heating in the single room, making it too cold for our son, and essentially unusuable in winter. The host wasn't in the local area to hand over the keys as they said in their message on Booking.com they would (only found out when WE messaged them on the day) - so they left the keys on the table and the back door open - we had stayed before for 1 night (although they'd forgotten, so don't get a free pass), not a big deal you'd think, however literally everything (including all the lights) are operated by remote control, so it took us ages to work out again how everything worked. Everything being on remote control is just a hassle, even by the end of the stay you are still messing around trying to figure out how it all works. Furthermore, we were met by a charger and mass of cables dumped on the kitchen worktop - which along with not meeting us, left feeling they obviously hadn't bothered to get things ready. They've attached little metal cages (like the ones you put on the walls in showers to hold shampoo bottles etc.

Perfect for a short stay.

Cosy by name, cosy by nature. The cottage had everything you need. It was warm, clean, beautifully furnished. Hosts were really responsive and friendly. It was 5 minutes walk from the high street.

Our perfect "Getaway"

Another home to home (just what we needed) break. Can not fault anything about Cozy Cottage. We like/love absolutely everything from the location, the piece and quiet, cleanliness of the cottage, and the exceptional hosts David and Mark who go above and beyond.

Beautiful cottage that exceeded all expectations. Our host David was most accommodating with our request to check in early, and he went out if his way to help us get to the wedding we were attending on time! We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Would very highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

great location in a beautiful town. stunning interiors, everything has been thought of, really comfortable bedrooms and amazing sun trap garden perfect for a coffee (or rose) in the sun. host super helpful and friendly. lovely neighbours too! will be back thank you so much David!

Cosy, beautifully decorated accommodation with welcoming hosts

Cosy, beautifully decorated accommodation. Warm welcome, even though late in the evening & quite a late booking. Able to park directly outside the house which after a long drive was very welcome .

Not recommended for anyone with young children, I would have been very nervous if my 8 yr old son was with me with the level of ornamental decoration.

Kensington Meets Bawtry

Think Cottage meets Boutique Hotel and that’s what you’ll get here. David is absolutely brilliant. He met us to check in, lights, music, heating and roaring open (gas) fire all on ready. Parking was a breeze directly outside Cozy Cottage. Location wise it’s just behind the High Street and it’s an easy amble to everything you need. We were at a party hosted at The Crown Hotel and it was perfectly placed. it reminds me of being in Kensington actually. We spent a bit of time with David as we left on Saturday as he owns a fabulous home interiors business…which all makes sense of course. Recommended with confidence.

Fabulous cottage in a great location

The attention to detail was fabulous, we wanted for nothing during our stay. The home has been furnished and decorated to a high level and it couldn’t have been more “cozy”. The hosts were lovely, very response and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location with the bonus of being able to park outside.

Amazing cottage.

The cottage was one of the best places I have stayed in. The name says it all "cozy" . The cottages furnishings are to high standard and has everything you need. The little touches just made it extra special and meeting the owner on arrival was a lovely touch. Would recommend to anyone, fantastic place and will definitely be going back.
