Couldn’t wait to get out.

Warm

Shower covered in black mould. Shower head broken. Got up in middle of night to use toilet and 5 slugs were there on the mouldy shower tiles. Disgusting and extortionately priced at £94.

Never again.

The location was great, perfectly located for a visit to the city

Mouldy showers, shower kept flooding, window in my brothers room wouldn’t open so it was like a sauna all night, no shower gel or shampoos and the toilet still had the excretions from either the last booking or god forbid, the cleaner

for a cheap room in the city I couldn’t ask for anything more. not the kind of place you would stay for a romantic weeke

it was in a super convenient location in the town centre so perfect place for me to stumble back to.

Unpleasant and very disappointing

I liked the fact that the guest house was close to the city

The room was very dirty There was a horrid smell coming from the drain which permeated the full room. Nobody had cleaned that room I took pictures as I was shocked The window was wide open even though it was freezing I realise now this was to mask the smell from the drain. The toilet seat was loose and dangerous!! There was also a dank smell from the floorboards as pictured. Nobody answered my calls and messages when I could not get the TV to work and when I asked where the tea and coffee in the room were There was none just 4 sugar sachets. I never got called back despite leaving messages asking how to do the TV or where the tea and coffee was It was probably one of the worst places I have ever stayed and was not worth £50 which I paid in good faith . It was nothing like described I am surprised that it is endorsed by Booking.com It was incredibly disappointing

I would not advise staying here until it is cleaned thoroughly

Location

I hadn't been sent details so couldn't gain entry to start and got no response from phone number as contact. The shower was a disgrace and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in the past year. There were gaps in the floorboards and stains all down one wall. I have taken photos if required.

Disappointing

Rhe bathroom was Dirty, bins hadn't been emptied people that weren't even staying there turning up at all hours drunk. It felt more like a halfway house not a guest house.

central location 1 min walk to bars public parking 1min walk

student accommodation small room kitchen not clean mould in bathroom dust in room shower head full of line scale building smelt musty carpets needed a good clean no toilet roll provided kitchen bin bag left at side of bin host not very responsive sent 2 emails prior to visit no reply sent 1 text got no reply

Location was good, access was good, owner good with communication, friendly guests staying too, so generally nice.

Shower wasn’t great. Really dirty grouting, shower head did not stay in place, water was initially boiling hot and was unable to control temperature. Bit expensive for the size of room and facilities - brought own tea and coffee!! But, generally good overall for what we needed.

Enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent and the place was clean. Didn’t hear the other guests

The location was excellent. The only negatives were the refrigerator didn’t have a lot of empty space and the bathroom had a strange odor. We solve the bathroom odor by running the vent fan and getting a room refreshner

Just okay for couple nights.

Location was good, close to centre. Personnel was really helpful and friendly.

There was quite bad smell from the bathroom, and moldy spots allover the roof. could use some proper maintanance. Bed was quite soft.

The location suited my needs close to university

the bathroom had bad mildew ☹️ there was no noise insulation for people just moving about above and below. Was woken early due to noise

Fine for one night

Fantastic location to Lancaster centre. Host was attentive and access to the room was made simple. Kitchen area lovely.

Our room was on the ground floor. En suit smelled of urine and could do with some TLC. (Dirty grouting, an antibacterial clean needed of tiles, sink a nd floor. Radiator coming loose from wall)

Its in the city,don't have the hassle of the lobby situation.

Showeroom was a little dirty,in need of a good clean That's always a big factor for me hence the not so good review.

Very good

Cheap , clean, convenient. No frills but suited my needs. My room was the en suite room, not sure I could have shared a communal bath room, but that’s just my inner snob.

If you’re a light sleeper like me, other guests getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom might disturb you. Sound travels as well so if you happen to be staying at the same time as some more inconsiderate guests I imagine it would be quite annoying. This didn’t cause me any problems though as fellow guests were considerate.
