Stayed for a week in the July heat- 100 degrees most of the week. the AC was consistently broken/frozen up due to owner pre sets that do not allow the AC to properly cool esp in high heat. Mgmt company gives you daily lipservice runaround. Sends techs who specifically say the problem is the presets fighting the AC trying to cool down and freezing the units. It was 90 degrees inside consistently. Mgmt texts you that they are doing something and refuses to override the presents. The living room sliding door has no handle. There is a gap and you cannot close the slider even with a piece of wood in the door to secure it. gate to the deck is broken also installed backward so bears came daily onto the deck. Large male bears. The hottub does not work properly. Half the jets are broken. The headrests are missing, water is musty smelly. We are hottub owners and know this is bc of poor maintenance. The downstairs bedroom door has non functioning door latches. The kitchen has no pans just pots and parts to two blenders but no complete blender. This property is large with plenty of space but rundown and not maintained. The bathrooms towel bars missing, things break they just don't fix them. decor has broken items just left there. biggest issue is the mgmt responds but does nothing but lead you along but no actual results. the community pools are nice. parking is good. not worth the money for this misery. wish I had looked at previous reviews yrs back bc this is not new.

Overall its was not bad, but there was so minor things that need to be address, like half kitchen plugs was not working , the side screen door handle was broken and had to use a rod to keep it closed. The house gets very hot quick, they have the thermostat pre set, then the last night it went out The gate to the porch was not working properly you could push it open very easily. I know they have probaby fixed a hundred times because of the bears. There was trash around the property, cigarettes butts by the front entrance way, dont understand why people can not pick up afterward there selfs. Im not a person to complain but its was not 5 star experience The location was not bad, It was 7 min away from downtown and to the park by car. Yes you will have bears walk around on property a lot and can get a lots of pictures. I wold rate it 3 and a half to a 4. The owners was very nice and help us with a few things, so thank you. I would rate it 5. Probably would not go back to that cabin

Great place, spacious house, saw so many bears so close by. Host was really nice and responsive on timely manner.
4.5
Amazing place, plenty of room. A lot of nice amenities. My favorite part is that everything worked - most places only half of the appliances worked. Hot tub and outside areas were very nice. And the master bedroom was perfect. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Loved our stay had a super girls weekend trip. The lodge was welcoming and super clean. Beautiful place
4.5
Loved the layout of the house, enjoyed seeing the bears, hot tub , plenty of room
4.5
This was an awesome cabin with great views of the mountains. There is plenty of room for my family of 7. Loved the hot tub and movie room. The owners keep in touch the whole time if we needed anything they were on top of it. Definitely would love to come back again soon.

My family and I had a great extended weekend at this cabin! It is maybe a 5 min or so drive from downtown Gatlinburg, if you don't like driving in the mts I suggest going through downtown G-Burg but be aware of the traffic and time that will add to your trip! The bypass to get there isn't too bad, just some good ol curvy mt roads with no guardrails! Haha other than that it was an awesome place to stay and we all really enjoyed it! Our only complaint was that the sliding glass door to the deck was broken when we got there, we had to improvise to make sure it was locked enough as we had children staying on the main level with us!
4.5
We enjoyed our stay! We seen 4 bear the first morning we were there. The host was great with communication and responded promptly with my inquiries.

We had a great time at the lodge saw a 🐻 and was just a short trip to downtown. Bed was very comfortable. One thing i would ask is more tp in bathrooms . But over all great trip.

My family and I stayed here and this cabin could be nice. However, there are definitely a few things that need to be addressed. The main one was we had a water leak for two nights from the second floor bathroom was pouring water onto the main level bedroom where it almost ruined an apple phone It took a little bit to get phone working- (these aren’t cheap!) The second is that the sliding glass doors on the main level have been broken (since early July we found out!! ON our own NOT BY OWNER) The owner makes you think that they have ordered parts and this just happened yet, If you read the reviews, this has been going on for a while!!!! This only leaving you one door to go in and out of on the main level which would be OK if the Bears couldn’t have climbed the deck railing (which they can and we have video of them doing right next door!) the Bears are nice that’s why you go to the mountains yet only having one door you can EASILY BE CORNERED on this deck because of the one door. There are several other simple issues that need to be addressed yet these were the two largest. We will not be returning to this cabin.
4.5
This place is simply beautiful with lots of room for our family. All the comforts of home, kids loved the video games and the theatre room. Beds were so soft and cozy bathrooms were super nice. Highly recommended and Justin was awesome.
4.5
Overall we loved our stay. Beds were comfy and plenty of room for our family of 8. Plenty of video game options if that’s your thing (could use more board games and cards).
Some things to note: no potholders or dishrags (there are now two potholders that we purchased and left). The fridge will freeze some of your produce so be careful where you place it. The cabin could use a good cleaning. Dirty windows and very dusty. Cobwebs and spiders also were here and there.
One thing a future renter should know is the presence of bears that come to the cabin. This became a love hate situation for us. If you grill, you will receive visitors right on the deck. They don’t seem to be afraid of humans and tried to call our bluff a couple times by charging. While we loved seeing them up close, it made it nerve wracking to sit outside and eat or have morning coffee. There was bear activity everyday on the property grounds. We saw a momma bear and three cubs regularly and well as a younger bear and then another set of two. Be aware if you have small kids. The bears have become habituated to humans and feel they have a right to your space.
One more thing to mention are the hilly roads leading from town to the cabin. To say they are steep is an understatement, especially the last one leading to the cabin. It will wreak havoc on your vehicle. Mileage wise, the cabin is close to attractions but due to windy, hilly roads it took quite a bit of time to get places.
4.5
Well kept cabin in a beautiful area! We all got to see bears from a healthy distance and had a great time in the hot tub and theater.
4.5
Overall it was a great place for our family vacation. Only issue was the bedroom on the main floor was very hot. Kitchen was great and beds were very comfortable
4.5
The air conditioning did not work and never worked during our trip. High was 89 outside and inside was 80 +. We were very uncomfortable with 8 teenage boys and 4 adults. Good location. Nice house plenary of room but we were disappointed in not having the issue resolved during our stay. We had to purchase fans to run just so we could sleep. Not happy.
4.5
Spacious yet cozy. Worked a puzzle in the sunroom. Lazed in the hot tub. Fixed breakfast and enjoyed our coffees. Sat on the deck and enjoyed the weather. Even had a visit from the three bears.
Justin and company were very responsive to any questions or needs.
4.5
This home was exactly what we expected and Justin was an amazing host. His communication before, during, and after the stay was great. He ensured that everything was ready and taken care of and went beyond our expectations.
I would recommend this host and property to anyone, but especially those looking for a great quiet get away close to town and the National Park.

Love it!!!!

Property was beautiful and all that was promised. Very spacious for a large family including 8 teenagers and young adults to celebrate Mimi’s 70th birthday. Plenty of room for everyone. Property is close to downtown Gatlinburg but you feel so secluded in the beautiful woods. Easy to get to attractions. Would definitely recommend. Host was very helpful and friendly!
4.5
Overall the chalet was great. Good morning view of mt. Leconte from the master bedroom. I would recommend 4x4 if you're staying in the winter.
4.5
We had a great family/friend vacation at the property. There were so many nice touches - welcoming communication, coffee pods, tea bags, popcorn and dish soap were there. The best might be that we had a minor problem with the ice maker that was addressed immediately and we had ice in less than 24 hours - Justin responded to all messages quickly and helpfully.
I hope the city of Gatlinburg does some road repair in this area because it is really needed. Our Aussie guest was amused by this, I have to say.
We highly recommend!

Perfect location best of both worlds feels far away , peaceful & quite. A short drive down the mountain to get to Gatlinburg takes about 8 minutes. The Cabin and location is a 5 star. So many great games ,books ,views. You can tell once you walk in that the owners of this cabin put a lot of thought and love into the design. The beds were comfortable. The only negative would be that the cleaning crew needs to pay closer attention to the details .All the blinds were covered in dust along with the coffee bar ceiling light and signs on the coffee bar needs to be dusted. The towels in the up stairs master had blonde hair on them. We had to wash them before we could shower. There was evidence the toilet (master) had not been cleaned. Thankfully we had lysol wipes with us. The rental company was very helpful said if we need anything to reach out .We did not report this to them as it was not a huge problem but others might want to know. We would come back. Made many great memories we saw several Bears including one that walked on the deck. I see why it's named "Honey Bear Slopes".
4.5
Amazing is an understatement.
Everything about it was amazing. Very comfortable, plenty of space for a big group. The movie theater was cozy. And the private hot tub room was overall our favorite place to be after a long day. I can’t express enough how amazing our stay was. I would 100% stay here again.

Honey BEAR Slopes indeed!
What a wonderful week of relaxing with our whole family in this beautiful chalet, cooking meals together, soaking in the fantastic view, and watching lots of bears SO CLOSE, but never feeling unsafe or threatened as we kept our distance :) Gatlinburg is so close but once you make it up the Ski Mountain Road to the chalet, you feel far away from civilization, floating in a sea of beautiful trees. The hot tub...the theater room...the arcade game...so many nice bathrooms...all make this an excellent choice for a family time away in Gatlinburg. Thanks Justin for always communicating promptly, and for helping our family to have a wonderful week.
