About this cottage rental
The Beach House is an impressive home to enjoy a family beachside holiday from.
The open plan 1st floor living space has an elevated dining area up a couple of steps, looking down over the kitchen and living area. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped and is ideally set out for sociable events and gatherings. Once the large sliding patio doors are opened onto the sun terrace the true ambience of this room comes to life. The outside dining area for 6 is partially screened and has glass and stainless steel balustrades for safety. Sea views can be enjoyed from here looking east and west. There is parking outside for two good-sized vehicles.
Initially a small fishing settlement, Ventnor grew into a thriving Victorian seaside spa resort due to its microclimate, generated from its south-facing position and the shelter of the downs behind the town. The old sanitorium is now home to Ventnor Botanical Gardens and visitors are attracted by Ventnor's arts and restaurant scene as much as by its picturesque views and mild climate. Short walks will take you the adjacent villages of Bonchurch and its Inn for Sunday lunch, or Steephill Cove for a local crab sandwich. Venturing a little further will take you to Appuldurcombe House, with gardens designed by Capability Brown, or to picturesque Godshill, with its model village, both within a fifteen-minute drive.
In addition to the island's beaches, family days out can include Blackgang Chine theme park, the activities at Tapnell Farm, or seeing big cats and monkeys at the Island's animal sanctuaries. Activity lovers can walk any or all of the 67-mile coast path, cycle country lanes, or hire SUPs or kayaks at nearby Steephill Cove.

This was our second visit to The Beach House and we were as pleased as before - if not more so. The house is in a great location and the benefit of private parking is a real bonus. The accommodation is spacious, clean and comfortable and the views out over Ventnor Bay are delightful. When the weather is kind sitting on the terrace is brilliant.
If you want to pick up food items, you have access to the local shops and if you want to dine out, there's a good choice of restaurants, pubs and bistros.
It's easy to get around by car or bus so overall Ventnor and especially The Beach House is an ideal location for a great holiday.

Our second visit to this excellent house. Comfortable stylish yet practical. A perfect wee even though the weather was changeable
Will return to Ventnor next year.

The Beach House has everything you could need and more, with a view as well! Large light living space, superb kitchen area and three comfortable bedrooms each with their own beautiful bathroom. We had a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend it

The Beach House is a very unique property set in a beautiful location. It was very clean, comfortable and had everything you would need including washing machine, dishwasher and coffee machine! :o) We had such a relaxing holiday and would certainly go back.

The beach House was more than home from home it was luxury every little detail we were lucky with the weather and the bedrooms were cool being down stairs my only polite suggestion would be to have perhaps a single comfy chair as the seating which was great for family and children not quite soo kind for older folk thank you

The Beach House is a beautifully designed unique house, with all that you need and a bit more. It is also in excellent condition and was lovely and clean on our arrival. The view from the main seating area and terrace is really special, although the properties position one row back from the seafront provides some seclusion too. The modern and new kitchen and dinning area was perfect for the five of us, and a 6th person would fit in easily.
The weather was variable but our stay was still great. We like the Isle of Wight, there is much to see and do and Ventnor has its own Victorian based charm. There are some really nice places to eat out locally and the beach was good fun (weather permitting!). However, chilling out and eating in was also easy and comfortable due to the lovely facilities at the Beach House.
Additionally, the service from Island Holidays was first class. Fully recommended.

We had a wonderful holiday at the Beach house. It was in a great position so close to the esplanade and had a great view of the coast and cliffs from the balcony. The house was clean and has all mod cons and is decorated in a lovely contemporary style. The weather was hot when we stayed and it was nice to eat on the balcony and enjoy the breeze from the sea. We didn't want to leave at the end of our week and wished we had booked for 2 weeks.

We had a lovely stay in April. House is full of luxury touches and has amazing views from the living room and balcony. Very close to Ventnor sea-front.

What a lovely house, so well equipped in a great location with lovely views. Had all the information we needed from booking to our visit making it all stress free.

The house was brilliant for our family group of 5. Less than a minute to the beach and bars, coffee places. Great view from the lounge and outdoor terrace of the beach and cliffes. Every amenity needed was in the house including a geat built in coffe machine. Can not fault the house and our stay there.

Location is everything and The Beach House is just a short step to the beach front at Ventnor where you can go on the beach, visit various places to eat or just have a cup of tea or walk into town where there's some shops and more eating venues. Ventnor is quite a steep place so walking up into town might be challenging for some but there's a choice of ways and if you take your time, it's easy. Walks along the coast will take you to Bonchurch and onto Shanklin in one direction and towards Niton and Blackgang the other.
The Beach House has everything inside that you might need. The bedrooms are downstairs giving you the best of views from the lounge and balcony area.
With good parking space at the front of the property, it takes away the stress of finding somewhere to park.
All in all, a great location, a great holiday property and we had an absolutely terrific week.

We stayed here at the end of august. And it was lovely, the house had everything we needed. The location was brilliant and ventnor is lovely too.
I would recommend this property and I really hope we can come back to the beach house again in the future.

We can't fault the Beach House- beautifully furnished all the amenities you would expect- spotlessly clean -wonderful position in Ventnor.Several excellent restaurants within comfortable walking distance-as is the beach of course...Our family were swimming before breakfast and before bed almost every day.
Island Holiday Homes a pleasure to deal with too -very efficient and helpful with our ferry crossings arranged by them as well.

Perfect holiday house!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beach House. The property is in excellent condition, very clean and beautifully furnished, with absolutely everything you could ever need!
The location is superb and a great spot for walking around the town or driving around the island.
Our only suggestion would be black out blinds in the bedrooms - when the sun comes up the current blinds/curtains let a lot of light in.
We would definitely stay here again.
