About this house rental
EACH LEVEL HAS ITS OWN KITCHEN & LAUNDRY ROOM and sits on three beautiful acres of sloped/terraced woods, landscaped gardens, paths, ponds and a campfire ring. There is plenty to do with 400 feet of PRIVATE (NOT shared), dreamy waterfront. Enjoy your own dock, boat lift, diving board (ALWAYS a huge hit!!!), rocks perfect for sunbathing on or fishing from, a shallow area for wading and the crystal clear waters of Flathead Lake. The waterfront BBQ/eating area includes a mini fridge, sink for rinsing/hand-washing and enclosed area for little ones.
Discovering the Village of Bigfork: We sure pack a lot of things to do and see into our little town. One of the most anticipated holidays here in Bigfork is 4th of July. The annual parade on Electric Avenue brings thousands of spectators. The Bigfork Summer Playhouse will celebrate its 63rd season of live, professional theater in 2022. For more information and to check the show calendar, visit http://bigforksummerplayhouse.com/about/. The first weekend in August brings the Festival of the Arts downtown. Bigfork is also home to fine dining, fishing guides, live music, cherry picking, huckleberry tasting, history, shopping and falling in love with nature.
Glacier National Park, which welcomed over 3 million visitors in 2021, is just 45 miles away. It is a 1,583 sq. mile wilderness area, in Montana's Rocky Mountains. If you haven't already discovered the beauty of Glacier, please plan to. Explore some of the most dramatic mountain landscapes on Earth. Take a Red Bus tour of Going-to-the-Sun Road. Enjoy an adventurous whitewater rafting trip, a fun horse back ride or a helicopter tour. Bike or hike 'till your heart's content. Take in some history. Find a comfy spot and watch for wildlife. Whatever you choose to do while visiting Glacier National Park, one thing is for sure. It will be unforgettable.
Whitefish Mountain (Formerly Big Mountain) is just 47 miles away. Enjoy mountain biking, hiking, zip line tours, the alpine slide, aerial adventure park, strider bike park, spider monkey mtn (ages 4+), summer tubing, scenic lift rides, and the Summit Nature Center.
If you're not already familiar with Flathead Lake, here are a few key pieces of info you should know. There are 185 miles of shoreline and 200 square miles of natural freshwater, therefore earning the title as “the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi”. Flathead Lake can be as still as still gets, however, it can also look like the open ocean. Storms and strong wind can arise seemingly out of nowhere and waves can reach 5 feet high. Because our property is not in a bay, or sheltered in any way, this is extremely important to remember. Boats should not be tied up to the dock unless under supervision. This means no overnight docking. Boats need to be on the boat lift and fully raised. The electric lift will accommodate up to 3,800 lbs.

Hard to beat the view of the lake at this home and our host was excellent! Awesome destination

Our entire family enjoyed our stay. The house was large enough for everyone and the open space on the main floor was comfortable for everyone to hang out together. The diving board was a HUGE hit and enjoyed by all.

A fantastic place - the space, the amenities and most of all - the view! Hosts were great, house has everything that you could need.

The owners have left nothing out! All the details of home! Our first time in the Flathead area will not be our last, thanks to the great experiance by our thoughtful hosts! What a difference it makes! We felt like we were at home in a new house, in a new area! Very comfortable, clean, spacious, and equiped! We were okay not leaving at all (even though the days were filled). Fishing, Swimming, Kyaking, grilling, sitting around the fire, or just taking in the lake and the beautiful sunsets... and all this was just at the house! The host were very accommodating and some of the most resposive we have ever had! Bravo! We will definetly be telling our friends! Thank you for allowing us to build such great memories in your home!

Great location to get in to Big Fork or go down to Bison Range. Eagles ( both adult & juvenile) perch right outside the living room windows!
We used the campfire space twice and there was plenty of wood (even dry) everywhere for our use.
Water was cold this time of year so did not take advantage of the water sports but so much equipment provided & sports chairs to enjoy the views down from the dock.
Kitchen had everything we needed.
I love the layout of the home as downstairs made available a complete kitchen & laundry & 2 bedrooms too if some parties needed privacy.
The 2 decks are endless!
Many spaces to view wildlife.
I can’t say enough about what a great experience my family had.
Big views of sunset from the master, to the living room to even the dining area. Gorgeous!
Thanks so much for sharing such a beautiful property with us!
The communication was immediate and they took care of our every need- thank you!

We had a wonderful stay ... sitting on deck listening to the lake and viewing the sunsets were amazing ... close enough to town for a night out and far enough away from town to offer the solitude that does indeed fill your soul ... it was perfect!

This rental was everything they said it would be! The bedroom set up was perfect for our family! The views from all over the house were breathtaking. We rented a boat for the week and although the lake was low and we couldn’t keep it at the house, we just drove the short distance to the marina and drove the boat over! The house provided lots of water toys to enjoy! The owners were quick to respond to any question or need! Great vacation!

Shannon was fantastic, responsive and attentive! The property was stunning and we had an amazing visit. From our hikes in Glacier to spending time in the lake and dive competitions on the dock, our visit was remarkable.
One of our daughters also got engaged which added to the fun and games. We are a family of nine and we had plenty of space. Thank you again Shannon and fam for a wonderful stay.

We LOVED this property. From the dining room or deck views, to the fire pit area with more wood than you could ever burn, to the various bedroom areas, to the diving board and dock. AMAZING. We couldn't have asked for a better location to house all our families to celebrate our mom who passed last year. We were close enough to Glacier National Park to get up there on two days, and had endless hours down on the dock paddle boarding, boating, and diving off the diving board.
This is the most well thought out and stocked rental any of us have ever stayed in. My sister in law runs a rental cleaning business on Hawaii and was beyond impressed. From the coffee/tea bars on both floors (there are two full kitchens) to the emergency tooth brush and flossers in the bathrooms to the expansive variety of kitchen appliances, dishware sets (indoor, outdoor, special occasion)....you are treated at every turn.
The only thing to be mindful of in your planning are the stairs. You need to be able bodied to get into this house and particularly onto the second level of the house, or down to the dock. We loved the adventurous nature of it all and if you had mobility issues, you won't get far.
I think we were the first visit of the season and had a couple of hiccups (to be expected with northern MT winters) and the responsiveness of the owners was above and beyond. We felt heard, cared for, and things were sorted at every turn. Thanks Shannon and Shawna.

We had a wonderful stay on Flathead Lake. This house is wonderful, with beautiful views and breathtaking sunsets. Spent hours after hours sunning and swimming off the dock. Hosts were A+++ and made sure our stay was perfect. I lost my reading glasses in the lake, and somehow they found them and mailed them to me after we got home! Will definitely try to make it back!!

Dream House!
Excellent experience staying in this house!! The host was exceptionally kind and easy to communicate with. Celebrated my 34th birthday here with family and friends….we couldn’t have picked a better place! Beautiful views of the lake, comfortable, spacious and clean, distanced from other houses, and stocked with everything you could possibly need for a weekend (or longer) at the lake! Most ideal place to spend with family and friends. Highlights: fire pit overlooking the lake, and the private dock with your own diving board! Can’t say enough nice things about this place and the host. Would 100% recommend and would love to go back!
