About this house rental
Scenic condo in gated La Ventana del Mar, beach side of El Dorado Ranch. Unobstructed view of Sea of Cortez. Watch sand & sea meet blue sky, stunning sunsets. Meals/wifi at La Palapa restaurant & at Clubhouse within resort. Go clamming, swim in sea or pools nearby. Malecon downtown abounds with restaurants serving seafood fresh from the sea. Enjoy kiting with sea breeze by condo, arrange for fishing trips, rent ATV to ride sand dunes, drive to Valley of the Giants, home to tallest cactus trees.
The space
Accommodates 10 people, 1 king bed in masters upstairs, 1 bunk bed with double bed at bottom and single bed on top and another single bed in other upstairs bedroom, 1 queen bed in bedroom on main floor, 1 queen-size sofa bed in living room. All 3 bedrooms have their own full bathroom, plus powder room in hallway.

Fully-equipped kitchen has refrigerator, microwave, stove-top, oven, dishwasher, small appliances such as toaster and coffeemaker. Pots & pans, dinnerware & tableware also provided so you can dine or lunch in comfort.

Guests have the entire condo to themselves. No other guests nor host will be present.
Pools are outside the condo and shared with other residents/guests of La Ventana del Mar.

Other things to note
A cleaning fee of $86 per stay will be charged and Value Added Tax (VAT) of 16% will be charged.
All guests are required to pay USD$35, a one-time resort fee for the whole group, directly to the Homeowners Association (HOA) upon check-in so you can get a pass for your car to go in and out of the resort. Please make sure you bring this amount with you. This fee is charged by the HOA, not by the host.
The HOA also gives wrist bands for 6 adults to access the swimming pool. Children do not need wrist bands but must be accompanied by an adult with a wrist band. The HOA will not give you more than 6 even if you offer to pay for additional wrist bands.

1. Per advisory, as of Feb. 10:

2. Masks are required to be worn in all public places.
3. The pickleball/tennis courts are open.
4. Restaurants inside the resort are also open, subject to the same restrictions as restaurants outside the resort.
5. Restaurants outside the resort have been allowed to open if they meet all protocols of sanitization and distancing and have been given certification by the Mexican Health Department.
6. All other businesses are operating under the same protocols. Masks are required at all times in public areas.
7 The Malecon has been closed to vehicles and is open for foot traffic only. You can park by the Malecon, or in the day time, you can take a long stroll along the beach from La Ventana del Mar and reach the Malecon. The beach at the Malecon is open but closes at 7pm.

Use of the La Palapa Pool (main pool available to renters in La Ventana del Mar)
1) People over 60 years old are not allowed to enter the pools for their protection.
2) Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
3) People at high risk, those with diabetes, heart problems, pregnant women, etc., cannot access the pool.
4) It is mandatory to wear masks to enter.
5) Pool staff operate in shifts. At the end of each shift, everyone must leave to maintain the required maximum capacity rule. There will be 5 shifts, from 7am to 10am / 10am to 1pm / 1pm - 4pm / 4pm - 7pm / 7pm to 10pm. These shifts are designed to accommodate the largest number of people according to 25% of the capacity of the pools approved by Coepris.
Guests need to bring their own towels to the pool as towels in the condo are not allowed to be taken outside

Dishwasher, garden tub, light above stove - nonfunctional.
Paper products sparse. Charlie was great, seemed trustworthy. 15 minute drive to the Malecon.

Place is very nice with beautiful decor, clean and cozy. Master bedroom is beautiful the downside is the the jacuzzi did not work which I was looking forward to and the other downside was that the dish washer did not work. Other than that beautiful place and spacious.
