The environment was amazing and it’s location

This home is 2 blocks from a beautiful beach in a quiet neighborhood. The upstairs has 4 beautiful bedrooms with bathrooms. One has a large deep tub with a pull out hand held shower that some of us older guests couldn’t use. The downstairs bedroom was lovely but the bathroom can really use some upgrading. It’s very small probably only 3’ by 8’.
When we called about any problems. They were very quick to respond.
All in all we loved the house. And knowing what I know now would definitely rent it again

Very happy with the house. Great location within walking distance of the beach, funk zone and downtown. We were surprised how quite the house was considering the location. Highly recommend!

It is a perfect house for families or groups who love to hang out together, and a super location. Each bedroom with own bathroom is a major plus and the kitchen is huge and manageable for 10 people.

We had 8 of us for 4 nights, and it really worked out well. It is literally a block to the ocean, and about a 1 mile (~20 - 25 minute) walk to the Warf, Funk Zone, and south State St.
Just read the description carefully, because it is an old house (or "yacht club") from about 1912, and and it is close to the train tracks, so you'll hear the occasional train horn (that really isn't that loud), so if those are the kind of things that don't work for you, this might not be the spot. However, if you don't mind that, or maybe even find it appealing, then this is a pretty darn good place to stay. It is very clean, has plenty of space, is very comfortable, and the location is great. Vacasa provided all kinds of info and communication, and even quickly addressed a problem we had.

Booking and checkin/check out was a beeeze. We loved this cute home which had some wonderful history with it. It was in a great location. We’d love to come back soon.

The property is located within walking distance to beach and restaurant. For those of us into walking, the hike along Cabrillo Blvd. was spectacular to include Sterns pier and the harbor.
The number of excellent restaurants and wine tasting businesses - and the perfect weather! - made our stay memorable.

We loved this home for our group of friends visiting for a wedding. The check in and check out process were very smooth. Such a great location close to the beach and a beautiful 25 minute walk along the water to get down to the Wharf and busier areas of Santa Barbara. Reunion Restaurant right by this home is delicious and has the best Poke bowl I’ve ever had!

It is a very unique place. Very large with a bathroom for every bedroom. It is very old and needs a facelift badly. Many dripping faucets and toilets plus mice. We still enjoyed the stay because it is a very large place.

We really enjoyed our stay, and had plenty of room for our large group.

This home is older but very charming. Although, a bit drafty so it gets cold. Home is in need of repair. No dish towels so bring your own. No tissue's and only one roll of paper towels (bring your own). Upstairs bath needs help. Kitchen has most of what you need but could use some deep cleaning. Excellent neighborhood and location to downtown Santa Barbara. Didn't hear the train or neighbors. Good parking for our 3 cars. Overall, we had a great time, kids didn't want to leave.

We were there for 3 nights and were not able to shower, clean dishes, or clean clothes. It would have been fine if there was a solution offered but when the plumber came he said it needed to be replaced and just left.
4.0 / 10.0
This house could have been lovely but for a previously (undisclosed to us) broken dishwasher which was unrepaired with parts still on order, black mold in 2 bathrooms, the staircase handrail broken and unattached and a very greasy industrial cooker. Vacasa are unhelpful, dismissive, and unresponsive. Original booking was through Vrbo, and we will never rent a property again which is managed by Vacasa.

Really needs some love to update the old house

While the location is very convenient to the beach and it’s on the quieter side of SB, maintenance of the home is needed. The vent fan for the oven did not work, causing the alarm to go off and we had to use the portable fan to make sure it didn’t. The jets in the tub did not work as advertised. The entry and lock functions of the home were easy to navigate.
There are plenty of pans, pots, utensils and storage for use. The linens were clean and the beds were comfortable to sleep in with the exception of the lower bedroom mattress.
We enjoyed use of the kitchen and having a large fridge was very nice as well as a washer and dryer. I can tell they take care to make sure guests are comfortable. Keeping up with maintenance of the items called out in the listing would be great.

The house is over 100 years old. The location near the beach is great. The rooms are fine, the bathrooms are funky. A great place for a group.

Big industrial kitchen stove but no fan so smoke alarm went off several times. Dishwasher needs repair. Sign out front needs to change since people walked in from the street asking to spend the nite or rent for the week!
Nice for family that it’s close walk to beach.

The house is a beautiful, old yacht club. I will start with the negatives & finish with the positives. The house is managed by a big company so unfortunately getting a hold of someone to help is quite challenging. The Check in process- so apparently the key pad to get in is on the backdoor (this was info not shared). The house is old so it definitely smelled that way. We starting opening windows. But many of the windows are painted shut (most all of the upstairs ones, which is a fire hazard). The first night we used the oven which made the house smell like propane gas, the vent that’s supposed to help eliminate the gas was not working, so another fire hazard. We reported the issue to the management company, they said someone would bring a fan for the kitchen to eliminate the gas smell, that never happened. There are no instructions in the house on how to work things (tv etc…). The tv remote had no batteries & there were extra garbage bags for the kitchen. The company only offered $100 refund for the gas situation, which is unacceptable given the safety issues. One of the main upstairs bedrooms only has a huge, jet tub, no shower. So we used the built in, pullout sprayer to shower.
Last negative thing, the first night we had the front door open enjoying the ocean air & a RAT tried to walk through the front door into the house!
Now for the positives. The house is in a great location. Easy walk to the beach. It is large enough with 5 bathrooms that a large group can stay there very comfortably. The kitchen is huge & easy to cook for a big group. The house history is quite interesting & loved all wood finish work & trim throughout. The front porch is welcoming and a nice place to sit & visit. There a couple of beach chairs, umbrella & towels available for use.
We definitely enjoyed are time at the house with our family.

This place just worked out great for our family to be all together in celebration of my son's wedding. Having each bedroom with their own bathroom was a huge benefit! And being so close to the beach was also a huge benefit. This older home has great character. It does come with expected issues of old places so need to be a bit understanding and go with it. The management team was very helpful and came through when called upon so that was appreciated. The neighborhood is quiet and parking on the street was available when parking in the home's spaces were not available. All in all I highly recommend this home and would book again if I am ever able to coordinate for my entire family again, since after all who doesn't love Santa Barbara!

Old Yacht Club - needs help
The Old Yacht Club is a comfortable property in a great location. The description cites its age and fragility, but the home needs work. First, the property manager needs to give attention to regular maintenance. The lower rack of the dishwasher is broken; the toaster does not work, and the bbq’s are out of gas. The property description should cite that most of the windows do not open and that some of the faucets leak. Many of the wall electrical outlets are overloaded with 5-6 devices, and when any water is running anywhere in the house, the toilet in one of the upstairs bedrooms sings loudly. We enjoyed the stay, and we enjoy rustic accommodations with character, but there are limits regarding safety and comfort.

fun old house
Check in process went smoothly and everyone said they
love being near the beach and easy walk or bicycle area. Charming and and a little funky older home but sticky drippy tree made a mess in parking area and some water pipes “sing” quite a bit. Some windows open, most don’t so glad it was not too warm All in all perfect for
our group
