Beautiful Cottage, lovely location. Definitely stay again

Beautiful property. Can’t fault it. The lady was lovely when I got in touch with her, very fast at responding. Stunning location, looking out on a massive field. Everything you needed. Loads of supplies left there. Towels provided. Best one we have stayed in yet and we have stayed in many.

Stairs are a bit steep but nothing we couldn’t manage, certainly doesn’t impact the scoring

Do not stay here pls look elsewhere

The house stinks smells very very bad and we had to vacuum the bedrooms was full of dust and daughter was bitten by dustmites but the smell was so bad smelt of old musky dirt and dog smell mixed together Secondly check put was 11am we was still getting out our belongings at 11.07 mu hubby was toddling up the sofas and taking out rubbish to leave property in a good condition for owners however owner came I'm at 11.07 was very rude shouting at us to leave the property I told her it's only 7 mins after 11 and we are helping to tidy up but that's fine we will be out in 4 mins ...as we put our belongings in the car she quickly locked the door and drove off with the keys leaving my daughters airpods and few belongings in the property we called the owner and sat outside property for 40 mins leaving messages that our belongings were still in the house she refused to pick up the phone we even contacted bookings and they said they couldn't get hold of her either as we lived 150mils away we had no choice but to leave our things go home ....pls whatever you do ....find a better home this house is bad news

Amazing stay, my family loved it! Felt like home

It was absolutely beautiful! Beds were so comfy, oh my days I slept like a baby and so did my 7 week old baby in the travel cot provided!!

The only thing I didn’t like was the stairs! They are very steep and having a four year old up and down was a nightmare but other than that the house is beautiful

Lovely accommodation in a nice and quiet location close to the station

Quiet location in a lovely village, with views over the green/cricket pitch. Everything you need in the house, and a village shop around the corner. 5 minute walk from the station which has hourly services to Walton on the Naze, Clacton and Colchester. It was just a pity we were only there for one night so didn't take full advantage of it.

Clean and lovely location

The cottage is very well appointed and clean, with a nice kitchen with a dining table and a patio. Its on the edge of the beautiful green and a couple of minutes walk from a Tesco for last minute supplies. The green is very beautiful and great for morning strolls.

Just a warning that the steps are very steep in case anyone has mobility issues. My dad, aged 91, could manage them without problem but he mentioned they are the steepest he has seen (he may be exaggerating). They were fine for me.

Excellent location and Abby was very friendly and helpful. House was a good size with excellent facilities provided.

Some things could have been cleaner, eg. oven, fridge, but overall an excellent stay and would recommend.

Convenient and comfortable cottage at a fair price.

Really handy location a minute's walk from the station and a Tesco Express. Quiet outlook across green. Easy parking. Big TV. Nice pub within a few paces. Host kept us properly informed. Rail line goes to Wivenhoe, Clacton, Walton etc

The stairs are very steep - not a problem for us, but might be for the less mobile. Nice and warm upstairs, downstairs less so but as we were only there one night we didn't really investigate the heating - probably just needed to turn the radiators up.

Lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful, quiet location

The location was perfect with the house in a very quiet area and surrounded by green space. The house was spacious and had a good size dining room, for the kids to have breakfast. Nice little courtyard out the back of the house to sit in the evening with a drink in hand
