The lady who helped us to check in was amazing and very helpful.
I didn’t like anything about that hotel about from its location and staff .

location is great
bathroom was dated

The staff are very friendly breakfast was excellent.
The dinner I had was not what it said on the menu. My pasta did not have squid ink in it.

The location was great , bed was comfy , mini fridge in room, nice choice for breakfast , helpful staff.
Expensive stay , not really worth what we paid

Everything came up to our expectations
Nothing

The food was lovely, the room spacious, but the friendliness of the staff really made it.

Breakfast was very good, helpful friendly staff. lovely lounge. lots of things to visit around. bonus had free soft drinks in the room.
the rooms in the main hotel were quite small.

Exceptional service from all members of staff - incredibly welcoming and helpful, providing some of the best customer service I have ever had. Excellent location and food and very comfortable rooms.

Beautiful decor, great location, excellent service from very friendly staff. The food was excellent including a great breakfast
Nothing at all!

Bar food, breakfast and dinner was lovely. All staff at the hotel were really fab. Special mention to breakfast time supervisor(?) (she had a Scottish or northern accent) very polite, friendly and attentive service. Hotel has an easy and calm atmosphere. Lovely room and our view was amazing. Excellent location and everything you would want to visit in Harwich as a tourist is close by or a nice walking distance away.
Nothing.
2.5
Breakfast was good earlier than normal very accomodating, see much different from dinner in the evening, very expensive starters looked as been in the fridge a long time, tasted funny being served in silver coupes lamb chops well over priced
Nothing to wash with in the bathroom had to request flannels, awkward to use soap dispenser as could not be removed. To finalize did not sleep as someone in another room was snoring all night when speaking about this to another member of staff was told you had ear plugs at reception is this usually a problem very annoying.

I was delighted with the friendly staff, who were professional in their skills, as well as warm and welcoming. A rare and valued treat nowadays.
4.5
the little touches are important - luxury bed linen and throw and X-Large bed
complimentary water and Pelegrínos in own mini fridge along with fresh milk for the hot drinks
Sea view
spacious room and very well appointed bathroom
outstanding level of service in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner
cannot think of anything

What a lovely Easter break we had at this hotel staff were very friendly and ensured all our needs were met
Room was lovely bed comfy and we both had a couple of good night's sleep
Food was amazing exceeded our expectations location was fab handy to be near ferry
I liked the idea of the extra lounge area in the building next door
I can't think of anything that I didn't like apart from maybe the towel radiator could of been on the wall rather than near toilet as it was very hot
3.5
Food was good . breakfast yes
Rooms was too hot radiators on all the time. No air. The only way to coolitdow was to put on the aircon TOTAL SILLY.
4.5
Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Well located and stylish and very quaint inside.

very clean and comfortable. very good shower. loved the communal lounge area
our room was right at the back on the ground floor so a bit noisy. in hindsight would book a sea view

lovely historic hotel. friendly staff and restaurant food was delicious

The staff were excellent, and I do mean all of them. The food was great and they were very generous. The room was bigger then we expected and the bathroom was lovely. We brought our two dogs and they could not have been treated better by all of the staff (and the other guests ;) )
The heater was a bit wonky, despite the knob being turned off, the heater was still burning hot (during the night). But nothing that opening a window could not fix.
5.0
The breakfast was fantastic with top notch food. The mushrooms were lovely. The coffee was very nice also. We got there late and we did not feel rushed or pressured to leave.
4.0
Breakfast was superb. Best I have had for many a year.
Inadequate car parking.
5.0
Lovely bar for a couple of drinks, an excellent restaurant for an evening anniversary meal, and an immaculate room with a super comfy bed. My partner has already asked if we could go back for our next anniversary so I'd say that's a win.
The parking situation could be made a little clearer but it wasn't really an issue once we asked them.
