Great view from the porch! Loved the comfortable beds!

We enjoyed the areas attractions and atmosphere. Biking, hiking and fishing are all nearby. The Elmaro winery is 10-15 minutes away and was a pleasant experience with great views of the vineyard. The lock and dam can be seen from the house and it provided occasional entertainment as the tugs pushed barges through the chamber.

We (9 friends ranging from 53-81 years old, coming from 5 midwest states) enjoyed our stay in Trempealeau. The house was comfortable and well stocked with all the necessities. We enjoyed the local supperclub and downtown was only 1 block away.

We had a great stay! The house is comfy and located in a very walkable location. Saw lots of bald eagles from the back patio. Easy check in & out.

5 long time friends spent the weekend as our yearly get together and we enjoyed our stay in trempaleau. The fall colors were still beautiful for the end of October and we enjoyed having a "cheers" when the train went by each time. We took a nice morning walk by the river enjoying the sites of this small town along with enjoying the local restaurant and boutique shop while we were here. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed playing ping pong. We wish the weather would've been nicer for us to take advantage of the bicycles..maybe next time. A hot tub on the deck overlooking the river would be a nice addition. We loved the photo wall downstairs. Maybe a few throw blankets could be added for sitting around on cooler mornings. Overall we highly recommend this house as a perfect little get away.

We were 8 friends staying for three days. We really enjoyed the property with its amazing view of the river and mountains. Wish it didn't rain so we could enjoy the deck and the 9 bicycles in the garage. Jon has thought a lot about what is needed in a VRBO rental like a fully stocked kitchen including coffee and so much more. We had breakfast at the local diner that is close to the house and it was terrific. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This was a well maintained home that was clean and well supplied. Nice deck overlooking the Mississippi and a block from the Trempealeau Hotel. Our family stayed during the Apple Affair. We biked to Ferguson's Orchard through Perrot Park. Would repeat!

My family stayed at the house to attend a nearby wedding. House is large and accommodations are good. As a suggestion I would put a TV in the large gathering room upstairs. Some of the older guests didn't want to walk downstairs to watch TV. The view from the rear deck is great!

We had a great time gathering with family for our sonâs college senior day game weekend. The towels and bedding felt brand new, and they house was very clean.

Jon the owner promptly responded to requests for information. We had an infant and there were toys available that were helpful. The deck had some nice outdoor furniture and we sat outdoors and watched boats and trains go by.
A great place for our family get together!

This property was in an excellent location with an absolutely beautiful view of the Mississippi.
There were 8 of us. 1 child, 1 teen, and 6 adults. Lots of space and room for more. The ping pong table and bikes were a big plus, and the deck was amazing.
Jon was very easy to reach. Overall great experience. I would stay there again!

Great time with family (ages 3 -60). Plenty of room for everyone. Evenings spent on the deck watching Mississippi River, playing ping pong, bean bags, and 3 year old loved watching the trains. Great location, friendly town.

Wonderful house! The house was well stocked with essential items, bikes for all ages and comfortable beds. Great location on the Mississippi to watch boats, trains and wildlife. Walking distance to town with cafe, bars, restaurants and the locks to watch ships go through. Very close boat launch for water toys. Perrot state park has excellent and challenging hike paths with amazing views. We loved our stay and hope to be back again.

We came for a wedding and found this property. It worked great for our group. The owner was responsive and the property manager did a check in to make sure we had what we needed. We would stay again for sure! It was nice to sit in the deck and watch the barges on the river.

Eight of us who have been friends for over 60 years get together at a different location every spring. This year we chose this VRBO in Trempealeau, WI. Beautiful view of the hills and the Mississippi River! Front row seats on the deck for watching river barges and trains. Very comfy beds, kitchen with everything you need.
The train goes by often both night and day but the sound never interfered - day or night. Lock and Dam # 6 is close by and can also be observed from the deck. Bring your binoculars!

Three households got together for Easter. We had 6 adults, 2 12yr olds, an 8yr old, and a 4yr old. The number of rooms, beds, and bathrooms helped us not feel crowded. The two tables in the dining room was super convenient to put in different formations to meet our eating as a whole family and game playing needs.
The deck to watch the river, trains, boats, and birds (including a bald eagle) was great entrainment and relaxing. The town is very quaint with a variety of activities (state park, wineries and apple orchard) near by.

We are 4 adult men who were participating in a local curling bonspiel. Used this VRBO in lieu of a hotel. Ended up being a great choice as a couple of our wives were able to join us. Very comfortable house with lots of space and good kitchen, bedroom and bathroom facilities. Nice deck overlooking the Mississippi with an excellent restaurant within easy walking distance.

We decided to invest in a weekend away with 3 generations of family (12 adults total) as our Xmas gift to each other and found this great house that had the number of bedrooms and gathering spaces that we needed. IT WAS PERFECT! First, Jon was very responsive with all the last minute questions and had a local contact for any emergencies (which we didn't ever need). The home was clean and set up for us to cook meals. There were two kitchen tables that we could make into 1 large farm table for meals together and a weekend filled with farkle, euchre, and yahtzee! We walked 2 blocks (even though it was February) to the cute downtown and have already thought about coming back in the summer to enjoy this sweet little town. We DID hear the train come through (about a block away between the house and the Mississippi river) but it wasn't something that bothered us. We truly felt like friends had lent us their house- it was a weekend filled with memories! Thank you Jon!

The pictures donât do justice.this home is better in person. Wonderful view of river, open floor plan works well when making meals and staying Engaged with rest of family. My four sisters and I enjoyed reminiscing laughing playing games and of course cooking many good meals. Kitchen is stocked well, except needs a roasting panđ.
Jon was very accommodating and easy to reach at all times thank you

Our group of friends (9 of us, all adults) were looking for a house/place to spend time together and explore somewhere new. This house was PERFECT. It was comfy and spacious for all of us without feeling like we were on top of each other. The driveway was even big enough to squeeze all of our cars on there (5 of them because we all had to meet there at different times). The pictures do not do this property justice. It is a beautiful property with a GORGEOUS view. We saw bald eagles from the deck every morning. Everything was very clean and the owner was very easy to get in touch with. It is a cute little town but not too far from Winona and la crosse if looking for a little more action. Highly recommend!

Being ex train hoppers this location was absolutely perfect for us. I will dream about the time we spent on the deck watching the River and the trains roll by, reminiscing of our past adventures. The House was spacious and clean , and owner and property manager could not have been nicer. We will definitely be back.

Great house. It was ready for us and Jon made the check in easy. Well furnished and walking distance to riverfront in trempealeau. Listened to live music on the deck. Great place

The house was perfect for our needs, it was a group of friends that mostly all met in Winona and this was a short drive to Winona. The house had more than enough room for all of us and we were able to enjoy the shops in town as well.

Easy to find, a short 1/2 block walk into the cute downtown of Trempealeau. Well appointed home with lots of space for a large group to stay! Lots of comfortable beds and plenty of bathrooms! The view out the windows is lovely!
Close to Winona and La Crosse!
The hosts were very responsive and easy to get in touch with. They even helped arrange to ship a backpack that one of our kids forgot!
Beautiful and relaxing retreat! Thank you!

beautiful property by the river
We had 6 adult siblings staying at this well-appointed, comfortable home. We could barely drag ourselves off the deck to do activities with family who live in the area. It was restful and interesting watching the barges and boats on the river, the birds (including a bald eagle!), watching and listening to the trains. June is beautiful in Trempealeau! Thanks, Jon, for the offer to use the bikes, and for quickly answering all emailed questions. We would certainly stay here again!
