Home was what I expected. Great location…only hiccup was the instructions to the lock box to get into house. Apparently it had been moved I looked for the look box over 30 mins and finally found it on the opposite side of the porch where it was dippise to be located.
Other than that one inconvenience everything else was gone!☺️

We had a great 4-night stay with family. Cape Charles was a perfect beach for our 2 year old daughter to enjoy! We rented a golf cart (highly recommend). The house was comfortable and well equipped for our family’s needs and we loved the proximity to the park where we enjoyed multiple nights of live music! We would highly recommend this property to others!

We stayed with our two children and their spouses and their three grandchildren. It was the perfect house!! Very well appointed with all the things you would need. Lots of extras (beach chairs wagon, lots of beach towels and lots). Great porch and wonderful backyard area.

The house was beautiful inside and out. We really appreciated all the little extras like towels, chairs, toiletries and kitchen basics. The beds were the most comfortable and every room was thoughtfully decorated. We loved our long weekend at Cape Charles!

Overall, the house was fine and in a great location. We liked that it was close to the neighborhood park. I am not sure I'd consider it walkable (especially for older adults), but we rented a golf cart so it was fine. We were quickly disappointed that none of the bedrooms had curtains, just cheap vinyl blinds, and it was BRIGHT (not good for adults or kids!). For the price of the listing, there should have been blackout shades. We had to unplug the patio lights because they stayed on after 11 p.m.. Between that and no curtains, it was like daylight in our rooms. We ended up hanging towels over the windows. The house overall was quite cute (would love to see nautical decor in the master, though!). I also appreciated supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, and lots of towels. There was no salt though, so make sure to bring your own! We were really looking forward to the outdoor area and the upper deck, but unfortunately the house was COVERED in thick spider webs, spider eggs and well, spiders, so we didn't spend much time outside. I did expect this area to be cleaner for the cost of the house. Hidden behind the sectional in the living room, there was a big spiderweb INSIDE the house - so that was not enjoyable leaning your head back to see a big spider! Overall, I think this is a nice place for adults as long as it gets some attention to cleaning and window coverings. I would not recommend this house for kids under 4.

This is a beautiful cottage, that is both historic and modern. The owner has retained its historic character while outfitting it with all the modern necessities. The AC works great; it is lovingly furnished, and has a lot of nice extras--an outdoor shower (hot and cold water) to rinse off sand and salt; wonderful seating on the front porch (watch the world go by), tables and chairs in the back yard (great for a crab feast), beach chairs and towels, and a nice parking/charging area for up to 2 golf carts off the back alley. Proved to be perfect for our family--two grandparents, and daughter and son-in-law, with 3 kids under age 7.

This house in Cape Charles was wonderful for us and we enjoyed our stay. It is more like a hotel in that you can just show up and not have to bring all the supplies. So no immediate run to the grocery after taking inventory. It is fun, pretty and very clean.

This was hands down the cutest, most comfortable, well-provisioned/thought out rental unit I've ever stayed in. Was so easy to check in/out and the owners really thought of everything. Would 100% stay again.

Amazing!
What an amazing time! The house is perfect and very nicely redone. I love that the owners think of all the little things that you may need. From beach items to kitchen items, they think of everything. The backyard was the best! We spent many hours playing board games while sitting by the fire. The beach is close and easy to get to with a perfect sandy stretch. My kids loved the house and are already planning our next visit.
Thank you for a great time! We will definitely be back.
