About this house rental

This 1914 historic home in Coeur d’Alene’s highly sought-after Garden District has been lovingly renovated to bring up-to-date modern conveniences while still allowing the home to keep its original character and charm throughout. At 1750 square feet, this home offers 3 bedrooms plus a sunroom, 2 bathrooms, and a fully fenced yard, just 5 blocks away from Sherman where all the downtown Coeur d’Alene excitement begins.

Upon arrival at the home, you will be greeted by the welcoming covered front porch. Two rocking porch chairs let you enjoy the view of this peaceful and idyllic neighborhood.

Walk inside and be met by big picture windows throughout the house letting in wonderful natural light. The living room holds a large sectional with three of its seats being electric recliners. When you're not out exploring all the town has to offer, cozy up in front of the fireplace and enjoy sports or movies on the large 75” flatscreen TV. There is digital streaming TV included throughout the home as well as a DVD player and an XBOX in the living room. All of the TVs in the house are Samsung Smart TVs which have all the apps so you can access your personal accounts such as Netflix and HULU. All of the TVs are on adjustable mounts for your perfect viewing pleasure.

The bright, airy dining room with its bay windows is perfect for entertaining. The large dining table seats eight people comfortably as is, or open up the two butterfly leaves for more space. There is a bar server across from the table outfitted with specialty glassware and all the bar tools imaginable for making craft cocktails.

The well-stocked kitchen has everything you will need to create elaborate meals at home. All of the essentials are there and then some. Quality pots and pans, various kitchen utensils and appliances - everything you would need for cooking and baking. The well-labeled kitchen lets you cook with ease, and along with the customary china and flatware, there are all types of serving dishes as well. Completing the kitchen space is a coffee bar. There is a Keurig coffee maker with espresso/cappuccino functions, letting you brew up whatever you’re in the mood for, even iced lattes. The electric kettle is perfect for making other hot drinks: choose from an assortment of loose-leaf and bagged teas including herbal and caffeinated varieties. There is also cocoa and cider for a different treat.

Two bedrooms are located on the first floor. The main bedroom is off the dining area and has a king-size bed, with a luxury mattress and high-quality linens. There are a full-size dresser with a mirror, a 55” flatscreen TV, and robes. The other bedroom is at the back of the house and holds a queen bed with a high-end mattress and linens. It also contains a tall chest dresser, a 55” flatscreen TV, and robes. Both bedrooms have blackout drapes for sleeping in.

The sunroom is one of the sweetest rooms in the house with its original, restored hardwood floor and beautiful antique windows drenching the room with light. There is a desk, providing a nice quiet getaway to get work done if desired. There is also a daybed with a trundle for extra sleeping space if needed. Or just a nice comfortable spot to curl up with a book or watch some TV on the 55” flatscreen.

The main level is rounded out with a full bath and a laundry area. A beautiful barn door leads into the bathroom. A custom tiled shower surround stretches all the way to the ceiling. The oversized tub is perfect for bubbles, soap, or the champagne variety. A marble top vanity and custom-made wood shelving complete this space. The laundry area holds a stackable washer and dryer for your convenience at your home away from home.

The entire upper level of the home has been dedicated to the master suite for ultimate privacy and relaxation. Along with the king-size bed, there is a cozy seating area with a white and marble fireplace. Perfect for starting the day with a cup of coffee or ending the day with a glass of wine. The alcove is a great space for meditation or yoga to help you unwind. The king-size bed is dressed with high-end linens and has a luxurious mattress with an adjustable base, lovely for relaxing in bed and watching TV. It also has a massage feature. The room is completed with a full-size dresser adorned with electric candles so you can unpack and enjoy your stay. Robes and thick, fluffy towels are provided for ultimate comfort. Your private bath is outfitted with a large marble top vanity and a tiled and glass walk-in shower.

After taking in everything inside the home, step outside and into the backyard oasis - the perfect spot for relaxing outdoors! It boasts a large, oversized gazebo draped with lights for ambiance. A high dining fire pit table provides comfortable seating. There is also a large gas BBQ for grilling.

Beyond the privacy fence, there is a graveled parking area for two cars behind the house, accessible through the alley. There is also street parking in front of the house.

To keep you comfortable in any weather condition, there are brand new heating and cooling systems throughout the house. A natural gas furnace for heating the main level, and a York A/C unit for cooling in the summer - both of which are controlled by the Nest thermostat in the dining room. There is a mini-split heat pump for heating and cooling the upper master suite on its own thermostat located in the bedroom. Two brand new water heaters totaling 100 gallons allow for plenty of hot water.

The house is in close proximity to downtown, Coeur d’Alene Lake, Tubbs Hill, McEuen Park, and Sanders Beach - to name a few favorite local attractions. All close enough to walk to or just a few minutes in the car. There are so many great things to do in the area. How about boating and swimming at the lake? Biking the Centennial or Hiawatha trails? We are from the east coast and had a trip planned for months, but at the very last minute our initial reservation (at a different property) cancelled on us so we were scrambling to find another place to stay. Thankfully were able to book this home and it was way better than the first house we originally planned to stay in! The property management team was extremely responsive and did everything they could to make sure we were all set. The house was spotless and the amenities were great to use. Only a 10-15 minute walk to downtown Coeur D'Alene too! Only small downside was that there was no travel crib or high chair as listed in the amenities section, but the property manager said they'd get the listing adjusted to prevent any miscommunication in the future!

We stay in a lot of vacation rentals and this one is by far the cleanest we have ever stayed! The home has been beautifully renovated. They have labeled where everything is and have anything you could need. The beds are comfortable, living room is comfortable to hang out and the kitchen is well equipped. We loved sitting on the front porch in the mornings with our coffee and walking to CDA for dinners, lunches, etc. Location is great! It is very peaceful, but close to all the happening places as well. And CDA has so much to do! Paddle boarding, parasailing, hiking, alpaca farm and more! We would definitely stay at this property again! Thank you!

Nice house in a great location. Has everything you need and everything is clearly labeled so you don’t have to go on a treasure hunt. The only negative is that the stairs to the upstairs bedroom were very steep but, it’s an older home and that was normal.
