Family vacation with five adults, a three year old and a ten month old. The rental had enough space and nice amenities to accommodate all of us. We enjoyed quite a few family meals at the long dining room table, made smoothies in the blender.
The kids were a little too young for all the rides and games at the Pier so we mainly stayed at the beach - the wagon, buckets and beach toys came in handy. There were also boogie boards and kites available to use.
Jason was very hospitable, the place was clean.
Only negative comment is that a woman next door had barking dogs and was blasting ’80’s music. I think Boy George is very talented, but Carma Chameleon got a little old the third time around. Hopefully she was just renting the place for a week. Otherwise the whole vacation was fantastic

The cottage was very nice but the write-up was a little misleading. For example ocean views are very limited—mostly see rooftops, half bath was on ground floor, and stairs to main living area.

We were looking for an off season weekend beach getaway and this location was perfect. We loved the beautifully appointed and clean house which was a two minute walk from the beach. The house even had a couple of partial ocean views. And the beach was wonderful. We could take our dog on and let her run. I would highly recommend this property and hope to return!

This property was very close to the beach, clean, and had everything we needed for our weekend getaway with our pup. Highly recommend staying here and hope to stay again ourselves in the future!

My husband and i loved this VRBO ! Its just steps from the beach everthing you would need for your trip is is there. The house is beautifully decorated and the furnishings are very comfortable. But i think what we loved most was watching the sun rise from the living room window. I definitely would recommend this rental.

This beach house looks nearly new inside, is well appointed, well decorated, and extra clean. If you love Old Orchard Beach, then you can be walking the beach in no time since it's located in the second row of houses from the beach itself. Our Fall Girls Weekend was a success - when we weren't walking on the beach, there was plenty to do in nearby towns (shopping, sight-seeing) and the restaurants in the area are very good. If you want to make your own meals, the kitchen has everything you need to cook with and then some. No matter what the season, I would recommend this cozy beach house!

Stayed here one night prior to flying out of Portland. Wish we would have stayed another night or two! Beach house was clean, cozy and very cute! Loved the view of the beach and water from the second floor living room window. Appreciated the homey beach stay for the end of our week long vaca in Maine. Highly recommend!!

The house was as shown on the website. Location was great, with a view on the beach /ocean and just a few steps to walk to get there. Just a nice walk to get to the pier. The house was clean and pretty with all necessary commodities.

Perfect OOB location! Close enough walk to all the madness of the pier but far enough away to avoid the crowds and noise. Super clean home and offered everything you would need for a day at the beach! Highly recommend.

Honestly, kinda plain from the outside, so pleasantly surprised. The inside was well cleaned and had “goodies” like TP that we would’ve normally had to bring. The living room had a great view of the sun over the ocean. It was comfortable for a family movie night. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it had what we needed and then some. The stairs are steep, but there was a hand railing. Beach was a super quick walk and even in winter, was beautiful. Would come back for a nice get away.

This beach house is great. It is the right distance from the main dock at Old Orchard Beach to be able to walk to the venues but not so close that the beach gets too crowded. The house was very clean and the private outdoor shower was great for getting the sand off. Loved it!!

Jason’s home was a lovely 3-story home set one street across from Old Orchard beach, just a couple minute walk from the sand. I found it to be the cleanest rental (especially for a beach rental) that I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was in working order and updated in the home. Jason made renting extra easy because all linens and accessories were provided. Providing beach caddies, boogie boards, sand toys etc is one thing, but these were all in great condition, too, which is impressive all on its own. The kitchen is fully stocked, but if you anticipate cooking and leftovers, I recommend bringing storage bags and aluminum foil, etc. The dual-drop/Keurig coffee maker worked great. The check out process was as easy as I had ever encountered. Jason was completely understanding that it’s vacation and wanted guests not to feel pressure to clean everything before leaving. This inspired us to clean even more as a courtesy to he and his cleaning crew. The outdoor shower works great and needs a weedwack, but even had warm water since our stay was a little chilly. The walk to the pier was easily accessible (or a short drive). The parking is tight, but Jason was responsive for help, questions, and advice. The neighbor behind the house has quite a few dogs (who she said were not friendly). They stayed to their property but could get going on barking at times. The area is clearly very family and pet-friendly. Thank you for a great experience!

This rental was such a charm. The house is clean, well organized and inviting . You do have to walk a little bit to the beach, but we always met friendly warm people. The bonus… it’s dog friendly. Grab your luggage and rent this home. You won’t be sorry.

Fantastic location steps from the beach . Close to all . Jason made check in smooth . Clean, spacious , and cozy place. Host has complementary Keurig coffee pods which was great . They even had a welcome book that was detailed and organized . Had a great time and place was so comfortable.

My family of 4 (Mom, Dad, 8 and 10 year olds) just returned from a fabulous 3 night beach vacation at Puffin Place, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and EASY trip to OOB!
Jason is an excellent host who provided us with all the details necessary for our stay. He also promptly answered any questions or concerns we had, both via email and telephone when necessary.
The house is a few minutes drive from busy Old Orchard St. and close to the amusement park and touristy stores/restaurants. Saco and Biddeford are just a few minutes further, where there was easy access to the supermarket and more quiet, “local” eateries. The house is within range of MANY excellent options on DoorDash—for when you’ve spent hours baking in the sun and can’t imagine leaving the house for a meal.
The beach is visible from many different angles within the house, and beach access is literally a two minute (if that) walk down the street. The house was equipped with towels, beach chairs, a cooler, and several beach trolleys/wagons. Our bathing suits were the only beach supplies we brought with us on vacation—everything else was provided—and that was hugely convenient!
It seems that the closest section of accessible beach is really only occupied by those staying in the immediate area, so it felt as though we had the beach to ourselves—even when we could see much busier sections to both our far left and right.
The outdoor shower and separate spigot for rinsing feet are absolute necessities, and you quickly come to appreciate them.
Things I wish I had known: Certainly NOT negative comments—just bits of information that would have been helpful at booking. The house is 3 stories, with the living area/kitchen/bathroom & 1 bedroom on the 2nd floor. The two additional bedrooms are essentially in the attic (no bathroom up there) with low ceilings/eaves. Not so much a problem as an inconvenience as we all bumped our heads a few times. The first floor houses the two garages and a half bathroom.
Linens, bedding, and furniture are of good quality and very comfortable! Every room is equipped with air conditioning, and the living room and bedrooms each have their own television. The neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. We all slept wonderfully.
My kids haven’t stopped talking about our epic beach vacation, and we can’t wait to come back next year!

Wonderful Vacation Stay
We loved this place and location. The owners thought of everything you may need. It was so nice to have the hospitality and cleanliness of needs met like a hotel but the space of a home. We especially loved their beach amenities set up, they had everything to take to the beach with a very nice wagon to wheel it all down there easily and it allowed us to have a nice full day set up without multiple trips back to the house (even though it is literally steps from the beach). Other notable things to add that our family enjoyed on this trip, being able to grill, the house had a great set up as well as all the grill tools needed which really met all the marks for our 4th of July stay. The home’s bedrooms were all equipped with nice bedding, towels and great working air conditioning, big plus for us while sleeping! Would definitely stay here again!

The condo was spotless, the views were great, and the property owner was proactive in making sure all was as it should be. It was a great choice! Great spot too- coffee shops and restaurants right nearby. And there were beach items like chairs and boogie boards to use. wonderful!

Great Vacation Destination!
Great property! The location is perfect and is on a section of the beach that doesn’t get crowded. The house was spotless and exactly as described. The Property Manager was awesome and responded very quickly to any questions we had prior to arrival, and was very accommodating when we arrived. I highly recommend this property and I will definitely be back again soon!
