Exceptional value for money.

The location was great and could not have been more central. The Lighthouse Fish and Chip shop over the road sold the best fish and chips - they were exceptional.

Attention to detail lacked in certain areas, especially the bathrooms.

Stress free, enjoyable, & family friendly, we would not hesitate to book Anchor Cottage again.

The village is really nice & quiet, the Cottage was really tidy & clean & had pretty much everything you could need when on a short trip stay.

I can only think of one little issue, the CD player did not work., but, we had brought a little Bluetooth speaker (like most would these days I suspect)., so the CD player/mini HiFi was not really needed. Also on one of the days we had brought BBQ food, to then have to cook it in the cooker, as we found that the cottage had no matches anywhere, but maybe this is an error on our behalf as maybe we should have assumed there wouldn't be any matches :)

Lovely cottage, not far from local beach.

It’s a nice little cottage in centre of village. It’s spacious, has a little paved garden, good for midday sun and if you have dog. Host was very helpful. You have gorgeous, local beaches 20min walk from house. You have shop and plenty of pubs around, fish and chips shop just across the street. Comfortable for 6 people to sleep in.

Lovely house in a great location but woefully lacking in attention to detail.

Location is very close to shops pubs and eateries. Beach is a pleasant stroll away.

An owner who's response to feedback HE asked for was to bully and insult me when l said there was no ovenware or utensils and l was unable to cook a meal. When l mentioned there was no lights in the bathroom or dining room l was told that "it wasn't The Ritz". Shocking customer service and half-arsed apology.

Adequate but disappointing.

The area is great and position is central to everything in flamborough. The Rose and Crown only 100 yards was great with great food.

The property smells of damp, there are damp patches on the walls in a number of places. Furnishings are adequate but it all looks a bit cheap. I had to clean the bath before I used and also the shower. But worst of all there was no hot water on sunday morning and after checking the meter the gas had run out, so no showers or central heating on the departure day and it was a cold weekend. Very disappointed.

Nice house bigger than I expected need a better cleaner toilets not cleaned oven grill still covered

Took 3-4 hours for the contact number to give me the code for the key safe luckily it was warm enough to be on the beach until 8pm

Suprisingly quite dog friendly cottage in a great location for walking and bird watching.

Great location for visiting Bempton cliffs and Flamborough Head. I was surprised how quiet it was in the cottage given it is on a high street. Lots of parking available on the road at no charge. I slept very well. It was perfect for my dog. The Lighthouse Fisheries almost opposite the cottage serves great fish and chips!

All was good. A minor comment.. I couldn’t get the TV or a light to work, but in fairness I could have contacted the hosts at the time. A brief few notes on how to do the above, walking route to Bempton and Flamborough, emergency dr/dentist would be helpful.

Great location for the famous seabird cliffs, well equipped cottage.

a nicely kitted out cottage for renting out. 2 double beds and 2 bunks. lots of space. ideally situated to visit Flamborough Head, Bempton cliffs and North landing.

the staircases rather steep. on the middle floor you had to go up or down a steep flight to the loo. Top floor bed ok for loo!

Enjoyable, comfortable and quiet location close to pubs, shops , headlands, etc.

The helpfulness of the owner. T.V wouldn't work but owner came over and got someone out to fix it. It was soon sorted.

Small hand rail came off but owner has arranged to fix it for the next guests.
