An unusual concept. Not actually a hotel but a private residence you can book to stay in.
Having to take our shoes off at the door. I understand the reason but it was quite annoying. There are no staff. It was strange staying somewhere for a weekend and not seeing anyone else.

The bath was amazing and the accessibility of the house and freedom to roam around the beautiful house. The use of the dining area for us to eat local Vietnamese takeaway. We enjoy the company of the cats as well!
We were satisfied customer.
Nothing.

Charming layout and decor
2.5
Location was good, close to the centre. The room was clean.
The satin sheets and being required to remove our shoes in the house.
The chairs in the room were uncomfortable and, as far as we could tell, having been instructed we could only consume drinks bought on the premises, nothing was on offer apart from champagne.
Other larger rooms would probably be better.

You would never know you were in the middle of maidstone !! It was beautiful inside, lovely nooks and crannies, plenty of seating.
It would be good to have a lay out of the house, just a map by the front entrance- finding the bedroom was quite a challenge- as there is two staircases- we also, on the last day found the bar .... so knowing there was one would have been nice. Maybe a continental breakfast would be an option. Having to go out on a Sunday was challenging as we are early birds, but the only place to get food was wetherspoons , which is not our thing !!

The oldie worldly charm

The hotel's Victorian and Georgian decor and furniture is amazing. I think we were the only ones staying, and because it was quiet and with the decor, it gave off a fantastically mysterious feel. Also very clean and spacious. Four poster double bed was really nice.
Quite disappointed about the mattress. It was uncomfortable. Seem like an old springy mattress. Taking our shoes off at the entrance to abide by the no wearing shoes in house policy was a bit annoying. We didn't mind l, it was the space to do it in when there is more than one of you. Would be a bit of a hassle for group.

Far exceeded our expectations for the price charged. We loved the building and the standard achieved inside. Do be aware that this is a Georgian building, full of character and some foibles - but it is 300 years old. We loved it and would return in a heartbeat if back in the area.
It would be stupid to over comment on parking as this is not within the remit of the owner, just be aware of the walk from the nearest carpark when carrying bags.

The interior was superb. I had booked a four poster bed and it exceeded expectations. The bathroom was glorious too.

We stayed for two nights and found the property perfect. The decor is stunning throughout. The check in system was easy and it felt very private like a home from home. At first when we saw the sign to remove your shoes we thought it a bit odd but in fact it’s no different than what you do at home and the carpets are wool and plush. We parked in the mall car park opposite and for £9 per day seems very reasonable. A fantastic family run Italian restaurant next door or plenty of restaurants and bars five minutes walk around the corner.
Will certainly re book when returning to visit family

Beautiful and spacious bedroom in a glorious Georgian home. The communal areas are absolutely stunning and everything is super stylish, clean and with all mod cons.
I wasn't 100% sure about the silky sheets

Excellent location (very close to the city center), excellent kindness and service of Sadas and Belinda, prompt response and service to my request for a change of room on a lower floor, and generally to whatever I asked. I will definitely choose it again for my stay. Congratulations and I hope you will continue in this way.
Λίγο μεγαλύτερη προσοχή στο ξεσκόνισμα των επίπλων του δωματίου.
A little more attention to dusting the furniture of the room.

Lovely building just full of history and the room was large and very comfortable. Loved the bedding too. Also the owner communicated very well and was very helpful.
It was on a busy street and there was a bit of noise in the night as revellers went home. We stayed in a room at the front of the building though. Also the Wi-Fi was very hit and Miss.

It’s beautiful throughout and located in the centre. It has got ample and safe parking nearby.
The bed was small for 2 people

Absolutely lovley building in the middle of Maidstone great for getting to places in the town center.
Lovley comfy bed great night sleep..
Staff we spoke to were really friendly and happy to help.
Unfortunately the toilet seat was rusty and broken..
Also the telly should be on a bracket that could swivel so you could point it towards the bed. Also the TV had no ariel so no tv channels.. Didn't want to log into catch up tv as it would have saved my details.. Ended up just watching youtube clips.. Was a shame.. But would stay here again as the building and bathroom was beautiful.. Should offer breakfast would have been amazing to have breakfast in the downstairs area because it's beautiful..

Beautiful building,hosts very welcoming
Nothing bad to say

This is not a hotel, it is a private house. The downstairs lounge area looks nice.
There was no-one there to speak to and no-one to help with the suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. There was the ability to make coffee in the room but milk was down 3 flights of stairs and no-where in the room to keep the milk. Tbere were satin sheets on the bed, they are horrible. The mirror in tbe bathroom was small and we had to bend to see into it. The shower was small which is ok in an old building but shampoo, soap etc was on the floor.

Everything it had lots of character and was very comfortable
Not really anything if honest felt having biscuits in the room would be something to think about I’ve paid for other hotels around the same cost and had biscuits toiletries in the room that is all I can say other than that we loved staying here and will look to book again when in the area next

The location is fantastic, one minute from the high street where you can find food and entertainment. Very close to the river, parking is less than a minute from the hotel.
The host was very welcoming and accommodating. The property has a character, great experience overall. Thank you! We will visit again.

A beautiful house, decorated to very high standard. Amazing for a house 700 years old!
The hotel is on a busy road but wasn't a problem

The location is super convenient - nearby the mall, bakeries, car park, restaurants and the Eurotunnel Folkstone. The common lounge area is specially furnished with some neo-Victorian decors keeping our kids' interested. Our room is spacious for a family of five and we most enjoyed the enormous bathroom.

Lovely decor in keeping with the original features
A hidden gem. It felt like when you opened the front door and stepped off the pavement, it was definitely a WOW factor, it took you back in time. An amazing property, and such character - definitely recommend it.
Location isn’t ideal as next to a busy road, and a couple of the neighbouring properties are shabby, but there are some amazing restaurants and bars just 2mins away
4.0
The road was noisy and the room I had didn’t have any secondary glazing like some reviews mention.

Thought the rooms were great
Thought the price was a bit over the top for central Maidstone this would put me off staying again

Great location, very central. Large room with extra large bathroom. Lovely little touches and a lovely ambience throughout
Satin duvet too small and kept sliding off during the night. Road noise, although earplugs provided.

No problems at all

Parking off site but not a big deal

An incredible place to discover within metres of the centre of Maidstone. You open the door and find yourself transported to what seems to be an amazing stately home. The living and seating areas reflect the house's incredible history as do the spectacular bedrooms.
The road traffic going by the frotn of the propert is pretty noisy but the property has triple glazed, with what you discover inside more than making up for it!
5.0
What an amazing surprise! The rooms looked nice enough in pictures, but they are so much better in reality. The property is beautiful and full of character, yet extremely well maintained. Everything was clean and functioning properly. Owner was very friendly, allowed me early check-in and baggage storage after check-out, both free of charge. I can't wait to go back!
Nothing, I would completely stay here again and think it is completely worth the price.
