Serene waterfront informal setting in the center of all the adventures Coastal Virginia has to offer. Nestled in a QUIET neighborhood, 1mi. to Bay Beach and Base. Downtown Fest-Events, Oceanfront Boardwalk just 20-30 minute drive. This Single family vintage cottage is nestled on a wooded acre on a creek. It’s a relaxing respite from the hustle and bustle–a getaway that's not far away from it all. Perfect for a small family or a romantic retreat or just a few friends reconnecting. *REVIEW ALL POLICIES before booking to insure a good fit. Though the property has a lovely waterfront view with lots of birds and wildlife, the PROTECTED WETLANDS AND CREEK ARE NOT SAFE FOR ANY WATER ACTIVITY.
NO Swimming, Boating, Kayaking or Boarding, in the creek. Fortunately we are only a mile from Bay Beaches and Fishing Pier for all water activities–swimming, fishing, boating, boarding, kayaking, etc.
Please note our Norfolk City Permit limits occupancy to 4 people (any age) and requires exterior video monitoring and noise and smoke monitoring. A fire extinguisher is provided. Any dismantling or disconnecting of safety/security systems or internet will result in guests being require to vacate without refund.

My husband and I love to experience difference locations every summer. This trip was very hot 90's but felt like 100+. Our stay at this property was perfect - out of the way, close to everything we wanted to see. The property description was exactly what we experienced. We experienced a delay in our vacation due to weather and our host was empathic and supportive. When we come back to the area this will be the first property we look to stay at. Highly recommended.

The view of the Creek from the cottage is flanked by blooming azaleas in April and we were very comfortable despite the windy day or two. The jumping fish and water birds we a delight! We had all the utensils and kitchen gear we needed. All the appliances were great. The bed slept well and the bath was tidy. The living room flowed with sunshine and comfortable chairs. We could have sat there or at the table for hours watching the creek. We were conveniently close to our destinations and any stores we needed. We're looking forward to going back!

We stayed here very comfortably for almost 2 weeks. The setting and location of this property can't be beat, especially if you are visiting a sailor. It is tranquil and peaceful---and the birdwatching was exceptional. Thank you for making this such a special stay.

The host Leslie went out of her way to make our Christmas with our Sailor special. We are so grateful she shared this gem with us. We felt very safe in this bit of paradise. Perfect for families. I cooked large meals and the kitchen was stocked well. The location makes it very easy to get around Norfolk and Virinia Beach. I'd like to keep it a secret for myself :) But i highly recommend it , I already have on The Navy Family sites.

The property was as pictured/described. Large house for our family of 4. The sun room had 2 areas that was perfect for our teenaged sons and their video game playing. We played board games (some we brought and some were on-site) in the dining area, which had a perfect view. We utilized the backyard nightly, which had a fire pit, so make sure to bring firewood. TVs were equipped with a number of apps to watch movies. It was a great house, in a great location. Perfect communication with property manager and the digital code made check in/out very easy. We look forward to returning.

What a lovely cottage!

Our family of three loved our time at the cottage. It was a great opportunity for us to decompress and enjoy nature as the setting is so serene. With the two main bedrooms plus the sofa and daybed in the sunroom, we had room to spare. We would have been comfortable with another couple or more kids in house. I can’t say enough about the view and the hours I spent outside watching the cranes and taking pics of all the trees and plants in the back yard. The serenity was much needed. The owner was very responsive to our few questions and was kind enough to text a list of recommended local spots.
