About this cottage rental
Please Note: Minimum weekly (FRIDAY to FRIDAY) rentals only in July and August.
Pine Haven cottage sits perched above Round Lake under the pine trees, with south west exposure, a stunning lake view, shallow water entry and crystal clear water. Water visibility is high and there are no weeds, as the lake is fed from adjacent Algonquin Park.
Pine Haven is perfect for a relaxing family vacation. The main cottage is one level. It has three bedrooms; two bedrooms each with queen beds, and a third bedroom with a queen and a twin bed. There is also a twin size folding cot with mattress.
The cottage has an open concept kitchen, dining and living area, with huge windows on all sides. The kitchen is stocked with essentials. The bright and airy living room includes a huge sectional sofa, and a smart TV with Roku for Netflix. There is good Wi-Fi.
Outdoors, a fire pit overlooks the lake, with beautiful views across the water. A large patio includes a propane BBQ (propane provided), picnic table and more chairs overlooking the water.
A few steps down from the main house, sits the 3-season boathouse, an open space for adults and/or the kids/teens to hangout. The boathouse includes a bar, dartboard and is well stocked with games for all ages. A deck overlooks the water with another incredible view to take in while enjoying your coffee or an evening drink while listening to the loons.
Walk a few more steps down to the water, and you’ll find a natural, rocky shoreline. Visibility is very high and there are no weeds. In the boathouse, we have a canoe with paddles, and 2 inflatable SUPs for your enjoyment. We have various sizes of life jackets (adults, youth) but we recommend bringing your own to ensure the best fit for safety.
Spend your sunny days on the water, and your rainy days in the main cottage or the boat house watching movies or playing games. The list of things to do in the surrounding area is amazing. You are about a 5 minute drive from Foy Provincial Park, which has a beautiful sand beach. Bonnechere Provincial Park is just a 12 minute drive around the lake.
Notes:
- Minimum weekly (FRIDAY to FRIDAY) rentals only in July and August.
- Fire pit outside can be enjoyed following local rules and regulations. (Wood is not provided for the fire pit but can be purchased from several nearby stores). The Wood stove inside the cottage is not in use at this time.
- The water is not drinkable. Please bring your own water. A water dispenser (that fits any 5 gal jug) is available for use. Refills are available at the local general store.
- Linens are provided. Please bring beach and bath towels.
- No more than 8 guests on the property.
- The cottage sleeps 6-7 adults comfortably but can accommodate 8 people (including a foldaway cot).
- We love our neighbours and they are very respectful of the fact that a cottage is meant for fun and relaxation; however, noise travels so please be mindful!

Karen was a great host! Very responsive and a great communicator. The place was incredible and we had an awesome time. The water and dock was perfect. Lots of activities to choose from. We would definitely rent this place again.

This is a well stocked cottage with the perfect layout for enjoying life on the lake with family and friends.

After several years using the other major competitor's app, we used Vrbo for the first time and were not disappointed. Karen was a wonderful host, and the cottage was perfect for a family of five with three young kids and a small doggo.
This has to be the best-equipped cottage we've ever stayed in, and it had all the amenities. Fire pit, BBQ, lots of chairs, canoe, kayaks (yay!), stand-up paddleboards, lily pad, life jackets, water shoes, floaties, pool noodles, and a great dock.
Round Lake is an absolute gem of a location, so quiet and peaceful. There are a few speedboats, but honestly there weren't many and they never bothered us. There are two provincial parks abutting the lake, and there are caves and rapids for rafting nearby.
We all enjoyed our time away, and wouldn't hesitate to enjoy Karen's hospitality again in the future.

Everything about our stay was fantastic - we didn't want to leave!
Round Lake is a beautiful, clean lake. The cottage was beautiful - exactly as described and super clean with a gorgeous view of the lake. Kitchen was very well appointed with everything you need. Karen has thought of everything! Quality linens on the beds (we even ordered the beautiful blankets online!) So many games and water toys there was always something to do. We didn't even use the beautiful boathouse room but this would be fantastic if you had kids/teenagers in your group.
And the neighbours!!! So lovely and helpful - a highlight of our stay!
Our dog (6 month Golden Retriever) LOVED the lake and was exhausted every night.
The cottage is just an hour from Algonquin and we took a couple of trips there to do some hiking and wildlife viewing. Eva's Cafe in Round Lake Centre for donuts and cookies!
12/10 cottage stay! Thank you so much for sharing your paradise. We would love to come back!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The property is beautiful and well-maintained - absolutely no weeds in the lake, but water shoes are great if you don’t like rocks. They provide everything you could possibly need - tons of water toys, a well-stocked kitchen, and even little treats for us and our pup upon arrival!
The living area is spacious (plus we LOVED the boathouse and all its games), but the bedrooms are fairly small. We didn’t mind as we only slept there, and there were so many other places to chill inside and outdoors. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan which is a lifesaver in the heat.
The bathroom has a very small shower - this was not a problem for our group, but may not work for those who are larger in size.
The host is lovely and very communicative if you have any questions. I have nothing but great things to say about this cottage.
THANK YOU for a spectacular stay! We hope to be back in the future :)

Had a great week with my family. Check in process was easy and any questions we had were answered immediately. The boathouse was a perfect hangout for my adult/teenage children and the water was great for swimming, paddling etc. Lots of things to do in the area for families and a few great places to go out for dinner that were close. Would definitely stay here again.

First off I must say the hosts are just super awesome and really really really easy to deal with! The neighbours are extremely pleasant and very helpful with tips for the area as are the hosts! The cottage is in a beautiful location. The cottage itself was fantastic, well stocked and just perfect. The boat house is just such an awesome place to relax and chat and play games. The cottage, boat house and many outdoor locations all have magnificent views of Round lake. I would definitely rent this location again. If you are looking for a nice spot to relax and unwind with the family or a spot to get together with friends this place is perfect for either.
Thanks Cam and Karen for letting us use your spot it’s perfect.

Excellent Family Cottage
This is a beautiful, clean and quiet lake. The pebbly shoreline is perfect for children and exploring. That boat house, with the games, made a huge difference on the overcast rainy days for the kids. The cottage was clean, open layout and the beds were comfortable. The fridge and freezer were clean and large. The drive to Boncherre or Foy Parks was close (15min) and a great family activity for beaches, biking or hiking. Everything was well organized and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this property.
